The newly compiled EP ‘Scattered, Smothered and Covered’ is available now on all streaming platforms via MCA Nashville. This six-song collection revives a beloved video series from over a decade ago by assembling professional studio renditions of iconic tracks. The project features the anthemic “Wonderwall” alongside a soaring interpretation of “Rocket Man” and the classic “Wichita Lineman” featuring legendary songwriter Jimmy Webb. Each recording showcases the signature four-part harmonies of Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Jimi Westbrook, and Phillip Sweet.
The group expands their sonic palette through collaborations with Sugarland on the Phil Collins cover “Take Me Home” and an energized version of “Life in a Northern Town” featuring both Sugarland and Jake Owen. The tracklist also includes a reimagined version of the Todd Rundgren hit “Hello, It’s Me” to complete the diverse set. These performances transition from intimate acoustic moments to full-scale vocal powerhouses. This record is a vocal masterclass that honors the history of the pop and rock genres while maintaining a distinct country identity.
Little Big Town continues this momentum with upcoming live appearances throughout the year at major venues and festivals. They take the stage at the WinStar World Casino in Thackerville on April 10 before heading to the Empire Polo Field for Stagecoach on April 25. The group also headlines a multi-day run at the Soo Pass Ranch in Detroit Lakes for WE Fest this August. These shows provide the perfect backdrop for the rich storytelling and collaborative energy found on the new EP. The precision of their live performance is a factual reflection of the excellence heard on this new studio release.
