The talented young vocalists of the Barton Hills Choir brought a refreshing and ethereal energy to the Grateful Dead classic “Ripple” as part of the global DeadCoversProject. Led by choir director Gavin Tabone at Barton Hills Elementary School in Austin, the group showcases the timeless songwriting of Jerry Garcia and Robert Hunter. Tabone handled the production and performed all the instrumentation to create a lush musical foundation for the fifth and sixth grade singers. This specific performance highlights the choir’s long-standing tradition of interpreting classic rock staples for a modern audience.
