Nashville artist Aubrie Sellers has officially announced her third studio album ‘Attachment Theory’ which is set for release on March 20 via Casual Records and Carnival Recording Company. This collection represents a significant sonic evolution for the self-proclaimed garage country pioneer as she leans further into a darker, cinematic rock sound. The announcement coincides with the release of the lead single “Subatomic,” a track that uses space-age atmospherics to examine the emotional distances within modern relationships. Recorded with co-producer Ethan Ballinger and engineer Jeremy Ferguson, the album features a blend of haunting guitars and intense synths. This music provides a raw and honest reflection on the psychological complexities of intimacy and the often difficult landscape of the current dating world.
To complement the musical release, Sellers is launching Attachment Theory: The Podcast with the first episode debuting tomorrow, January 14. This series offers a deep dive into the psychological theories that inspired each track, beginning with an exploration of emotionally unavailable people on dating apps. The songwriting on this record is incredibly sharp and highlights her growth as both a writer and a musician over the last decade. Every track from the garage-punk energy of “Trigger Happy” to the ethereal slow-burn of the title track demonstrates a band operating with total creative control. Sellers is currently preparing for a major tour schedule throughout 2026, including several arena dates as a special guest for Parker McCollum.
