Country music icon Dwight Yoakam will headline the first-ever ‘Dwight Yoakam & Friends: Rockin’ for the Kids at The Roxy’ on January 28, 2026. Taking place during Grammy week in Los Angeles, this one-night-only event at the historic Roxy Theatre serves as a benefit for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA). The evening is presented by Yoakam alongside longtime friend Billy Bob Thornton and producer McG, who will also serve as the master of ceremonies. Yoakam and his band will be joined by a lineup of special guests including Charley Crockett, Marcus King, and Lukas Nelson, with more artists expected to be announced. This charitable initiative stems from the Yoakams’ personal experience at CHLA with their infant son in 2020, where they were deeply moved by the resilience of the families and the dedication of the hospital staff.
The event marks the formalization of a philanthropic partnership between the Yoakam family and CHLA Surgeon-in-Chief Dr. Mark Krieger. After Yoakam suggested CHLA as a beneficiary for a previous fundraiser at the Lido Theatre, he and Krieger collaborated to establish this yearly benefit to raise both funds and awareness during one of the music industry’s busiest weeks. Yoakam has noted that the experience of walking the hospital’s halls provided a graphic perspective on life’s challenges, leading to this tangible way of giving back. Tickets for the intimate performance go on sale today, January 14, at 10:00 am PT via AXS, with limited sponsor and VIP opportunities available through the hospital. This inaugural concert highlights a community-driven effort to support pediatric care through a high-profile gathering of Americana and country talent.
