Written across late nights and immersive club spaces, the album finds Parks leaning fully into movement, desire, and self-expression. Drawing from the queer hedonism of New York nightlife and the pulse of UK electronic culture, the record replaces traditional band sessions with modular synths, samplers, and digital experimentation, while keeping her celebrated lyricism firmly at the core. The result feels fearless, fluid, and alive with momentum.
Reflecting on the process, Parks shares, “This record has desire at its center. Desire is a life force, it’s a wanting, a yearning, a momentum.” That philosophy runs through the album’s sound and spirit, shaped in collaboration with producer Baird in New York City. Their sessions balanced the intensity of nightlife with introspective creative space, producing a body of work that feels vulnerable, euphoric, and deeply human in its emotional clarity.
Alongside the announcement, Parks releases new single “2SIDED,” premiered as a BBC Radio 1 Hottest Record. Built on thick, humming synths and skittering drum machines, the track captures the tension and hope of mutual desire.
