Multi-platinum recording artist Chris Cagle will officially launch the first leg of his Play It Loud 25th Anniversary Tour with an exclusive live performance and interview at the SiriusXM Studios in Nashville on February 5th. The special event, taking place in front of a live audience, will be broadcast February 13th across North America on SiriusXM’s Y2Kountry channel 57, marking the start of a year-long celebration honoring 25 years since the release of his debut album ‘Play It Loud.’ The SiriusXM event will feature live music and an in-depth conversation reflecting on Cagle’s career, the impact of ‘Play It Loud,’ and the songs that helped define early 2000s country music. “This record changed my life,” says Cagle. “Twenty-five years later, it still means everything to me. This tour is about celebrating where it all started and the people who’ve been there every step of the way.” Released in 2000, ‘Play It Loud’ introduced Cagle to country radio with the breakout hit “I Breathe In, I Breathe Out” and quickly established him as a major new voice in the genre, generating over two billion career streams. Over the past 25 years, Cagle has earned multiple No. 1 singles, gold and platinum certifications, and has remained a consistent draw on country stages nationwide.
Following the Nashville kickoff, the first leg of the 25th Anniversary Tour will take Cagle across Florida, Texas, Arizona, California, the Midwest, and additional markets, with more dates and special appearances to be announced. In 2015, the country hitmaker announced he was retiring after 15 years to spend more time with his family. In 2019, he made a brief comeback for a one-off festival appearance at Guthrie’s River Ruckus and returned to touring full time last fall with his Unfinished Business Tour. Tickets and on-sale information for individual tour dates will be announced locally, with additional dates and markets revealed in the coming weeks.
