Northern Irish singer-songwriter Seán Feeny releases his new single “Galactic Tides,” out now, alongside the announcement of his debut album of the same name, arriving February 6. The track expands Feeny’s signature blend of history, heritage, and emotional storytelling, using cosmic imagery as a metaphor for emigration, identity, and belonging. Atmospheric and ambitious in scope, the song marks a clear step forward following praised earlier releases “1969” and “Western Roads.”

Written in collaboration with Ruairí Friel of Silver Winged They Fly and produced by Orri McBrearty, “Galactic Tides” features backing vocals from Sarah Cullen of The Reflection Box, adding a haunting, celestial texture. Feeny describes the song as “at its heart, an emigration story,” capturing the feeling of being placed somewhere unknown and slowly finding direction. The accompanying video, directed by Charlie Joe Doherty and filmed in West Donegal, visually mirrors the song’s themes of vastness, isolation, and connection.
