Brazilian and American thrash metal veterans Sepultura announce their final North American tour, fittingly titled “Celebrating Life Through Death.” After more than forty years, fifteen studio albums, and millions of records sold worldwide, the band closes this chapter on its own terms. From Belo Horizonte to global stages, Sepultura carried Brazil’s sound, culture, and intensity across continents, earning a legacy rooted in fearlessness, evolution, and uncompromising artistry. The impact remains undeniable, with the music continuing to hit with urgency, power, and purpose.
The farewell run launches April 29 in Montclair, New Jersey, and concludes May 29 at The Wiltern in Los Angeles, with stops across the U.S. and Canada and festival appearances at Welcome To Rockville and Sonic Temple. The lineup includes Exodus, Biohazard, and Tribal Gaze. Guitarist Andreas Kisser reflects on the moment, saying, “It’s great to stop in a great momentum without fighting, without an external factor breaking up this band. It’s our own terms.” The tour stands as a final salute to a band that defined its own genre and lived by creative freedom.
