Country music veteran Moe Bandy marks the forty fifth anniversary of his Top 10 duet “Hey Joe, Hey Moe” alongside partner Joe Stampley. Originally arriving in 1981, the track served as the lead single from their collaborative album ‘Hey Joe (Hey Moe)’. Songwriter Boudleaux Bryant reimagined the lyrics specifically for this project to create a standout moment in country music history. This anniversary honors a recording that remains a significant fan favorite decades after its initial release on Columbia Records.
Bandy describes the recording process as a period of great fun with his longtime friend. He notes that while he has recorded many albums in his career, fans still request this specific single at every performance.
