Lily Silver And Josie On The Rocks Release “Not You” Tribute To Late Drummer Graham Derzon-Supplee

Lily Silver releases a double single and video with her former band Josie on the Rocks as a tribute to the band’s late drummer Graham Derzon-Supplee, who tragically lost his life just before the band was to release new music in 2022. The double single includes the haunting “Not You,” a sultry, soulful take on toxic relationships, and “Super Sonic,” a song with elements of rock and soul about Seattle’s 2006 Supersonics sale. Both tracks were written in 2021 and 2022 by the band and produced by Michael Cozzi and Dave Palmer, with mastering by Chris Athens. The accompanying video for “Not You” features a rich color palette and close-ups of Lily, shot by Hope Alexander and produced by Hope and Lily.

“I started a band called Josie on the Rocks with three of the most beautiful people and musicians I’ve ever known,” Lily wrote on Instagram. “While recording songs for our first release and shortly after filming this music video, we suddenly lost our best friend and drummer, Graham. Being in this band was the happiest part of my life. I never really shared about it publicly because it made me so happy that I was honestly terrified to taint it with any public expectation or scrutiny. Playing with these boys pulled me out of an awful place and gave me a sense of purpose I’d never felt before. It took a lot of mental gymnastics for me, but we were finally ready to start releasing music. And then Graham died, and it seemed like the most senseless thing in the world. It hasn’t really been until the last year that the three of us have talked seriously about releasing songs so that this part of Graham could live on.”
