Las Vegas hardcore force ROMAN CANDLE unleash their new single “Nothing Is Original,” accompanied by a gripping music video. The release continues the band’s prolific run since signing with Sumerian Records, further cementing their place as one of the most urgent voices in contemporary hardcore.
“‘Nothing Is Original’ was the first song we wrote for the new record, and it set the emotional temperature for everything that followed,” says vocalist Piper Ferrari. “Those early lines—‘holier than thou / holier than me’—opened the door to a kind of raw self-interrogation we hadn’t tapped into before. It became the blueprint for the entire album: messy, honest, and painfully human.”
Built around the creative core of Piper Ferrari and guitarist Jonas Vece, ROMAN CANDLE channel classic screamo lineage through a modern, emotionally charged lens. Since joining Sumerian Records, they have released “Fire In The Night Sky Forever” and “This Band Has Led Me To Places I Wouldn’t Go With A Gun,” amassing 2.8 million streams and 400,000 YouTube views while earning a reputation for fiercely passionate live performances.
The band close out the year joining Norma Jean on the California dates of the “Oh God, The Aftermath Anniversary Tour,” continuing to build momentum ahead of a forthcoming full-length album.
