The Academy Is… share “Miracle,” the second single from their long-awaited new album ‘Almost There,’ arriving March 27 via I Surrender Records. The track shifts between driving guitars and reflective shimmer, with William Beckett delivering one of his most open performances in years. “With this track, we were chasing the feeling of when you discovered your new favorite song,” guitarist Mike Carden says, pointing to LimeWire-era nostalgia and the thrill of instant connection.
‘Almost There,’ the band’s first studio album in over 18 years, follows 2008’s ‘Fast Times at Barrington High’ and builds on the momentum of lead single “2005.” Across 11 new songs, the group revisits their pop-punk urgency while embracing a broader, more textured approach. Beckett frames it as reflection and recalibration, balancing youthful intensity with lived-in perspective.
