Welsh Celtic punk force NO MURDER NO MOUSTACHE returns with “A Demon In The Dark,” the gripping lead single from his album ‘As Everything Else Decays,’ out now. Owen Crawford channels raw intensity into a track that surges with urgent rhythms, intricate instrumentation and unfiltered emotion. It is fierce, reflective and defiantly alive.
Blending anti-fascist fire with personal reckoning, Crawford pushes deeper on this record. “This is a more reflective and personal record than my last album. It’s still firmly rooted in Celtic Punk, but I’ve dug deeper into myself to bring more authenticity — the same raw energy that people connect with at my live shows. I really wanted to capture that in the studio this time,” he says. The result feels immediate and hard-earned.
Across ‘As Everything Else Decays,’ serious themes collide with wry everyday observations. Corrupt governments and mental health struggles sit alongside skate park intimidation and self-aware punk humour. The songs carry grit and heart in equal measure, balancing heaviness with sharp melodic punch.
A true DIY operator, Crawford writes, records, produces and promotes his work independently. Having shared stages with The Rumpled, The Cloverhearts, Cam Cole and Mr Irish Bastard, and featured on an NOFX tribute compilation, NO MURDER NO MOUSTACHE stands as a relentless grassroots presence. “A Demon In The Dark” hits with purpose and power.
