Toronto dream pop musician ARK IDENTITY, the project of Noah Mroueh, returns with the new single “Fading Light”, a weightless and immersive track that leans into atmosphere rather than traditional song structure. Built on a soft pulsing groove and layered with reverb soaked textures, the song unfolds like a drifting emotional state rather than a linear narrative.
Mroueh says the song came together in a single session driven entirely by feeling. Improvised melodies and lyrics over an ethereal groove became the final vocal take, kept for their natural and instinctive quality. Instead of building toward resolution, “Fading Light” lingers in its hypnotic tension, inviting listeners to settle into its reflective mood.
The production stays intentionally soft around the edges, blending reverb, distortion and low end movement into a dreamlike sonic space. The result is a psychedelic drift that encourages stillness and introspection, allowing listeners to project their own meaning onto the experience.
ARK IDENTITY first gained attention with the ANNDALE EP in 2024, followed by the sophomore release Deluxe Nightmare. His music has landed playlist support from Apple Music, Amazon Music and Spotify, and he recently signed a distribution deal with ADA, a division of Warner Music.
