Filmore kicks off 2026 with a stormy new track that cuts straight to the emotional core. The rising country troubadour has released “Love At First Fight,” the latest preview of his upcoming album ‘Atypical’, a 21-song collection arriving February 20 through Pitbull’s Mr. 305 Records.
The song pulls back from the party-fueled energy of “Yeehaw,” Filmore’s recent collaboration with Pitbull, and dives into a relationship built on friction. “Love At First Fight” opens with stark guitar tones and moody beats before building into a gripping chorus that captures the push-and-pull of a romance that refuses to quit.
Filmore co-wrote the track with Lindsay Rimes and Josh Hoge, drawing on lived experience to shape its narrative. “When we wrote this song, it came really easily, thinking of past experiences,” Filmore explains. “I think everyone at one point in their life goes through a ‘love at first fight’ type relationship.”
Co-produced by John-Luke Carter and Filmore, the recording highlights a hypnotic vocal performance that leans into the Missouri native’s raspy lower register. The arrangement grows steadily in intensity and erupts into a blazing guitar solo at the bridge, mirroring the emotional clash at the heart of the story.
‘Atypical’ marks Filmore’s first full-length project since his 2023 album ‘Mean Something’. The new record spans a wide musical range, weaving outlaw country, hard rock, and hip-hop into a bold statement from a songwriter pushing his sound forward.
