The pop powered musical ‘& Juliet’ is extending its Toronto run following strong audience demand. Producers David Mirvish and Hannah Mirvish announced the Canadian production will now play through July 5 at the Royal Alexandra Theatre, with a new block of tickets on sale now. The show features a score built from the songwriting catalog of Max Martin and a book by Schitt’s Creek writer David West Read.
A special sing along performance is also scheduled, inviting audiences to join in on the musical’s playlist of global pop hits. The score includes songs originally recorded by Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC, Katy Perry and Ariana Grande.
The Toronto production stars Vanessa Sears in the title role alongside David Silvestri, Julia McLellan, George Krissa, Matt Raffy, Sarah Nairne, David Jeffery and Brandon Antonio, supported by a full Canadian ensemble cast.
Since premiering in Manchester in 2019, ‘& Juliet’ has become a global theatrical hit, reaching Broadway, touring North America and appearing on stages across multiple continents. The Toronto production continues that momentum with a pop fueled reimagining of Shakespeare’s story built around some of the most recognizable songs of the last three decades.
