Swedish glam rock trio Lipz have released a hard-hitting rock reimagining of Paula Abdul’s “Straight Up” via Frontiers Music Srl, stripping the pop classic down to its foundation and rebuilding it with roaring guitars and arena-sized energy while keeping the song’s signature melody completely intact. The result hits harder than it has any right to, and that is exactly the point.
