Betty Moon has been doing this on her own terms for decades, and ‘Strangely Beautiful’, her new six-track EP arriving April 17th, is the most focused and emotionally honest statement of that independence yet. The EP marks Moon’s first original release since 2021’s ‘Cosmicoma’, and it reflects an artist who has used the intervening years to go deeper rather than simply louder. After first making her mark in Canada’s music scene and signing to A&M Records, Moon launched her own imprint Evolver Music and has self-released more than ten albums on her own terms, placing music in Californication, Dexter, The Walking Dead, and more along the way. ‘Strangely Beautiful’ blends rock, soul, and electro-pop textures with genuine emotional reflection, embracing vulnerability and the complexities of reinvention without surrendering the fearless spirit that built her following in the first place.
