Blink-182’s “Adam’s Song,” from Enema of the State, was released in 2000 as one of the band’s most serious tracks. Written largely by Mark Hoppus, it explores themes of loneliness and suicide, inspired by touring isolation and a teen’s suicide letter. Peaking at #2 on Billboard’s Modern Rock chart, it remains a strikingly emotional moment in the band’s catalog.
