Before e-commerce was even a concept, Levi’s experimented with interactive retail through JeanScreen Magazine – Revised 3A, a 1988 laserdisc manufactured by Pioneer USA. Side 1 ran on touchscreen kiosks in Levi’s stores, letting customers browse jeans and watch ads, while Side 2, titled Behind the Seams, trained employees on denim history and sales. Equal parts fashion archive and tech time capsule, it’s a fascinating artifact from Levi’s early digital frontier.
