Legendary drummer, producer, and vocalist Hirsh Gardner has reunited three-fourths of the classic band New England with guitar virtuoso Ron ‘Bumblefoot’ Thal for a thrilling new video of the band’s iconic track “Nothing To Fear.” The song first appeared on New England’s self-titled 1979 debut album, which shot them into the rock stratosphere alongside their Billboard Top 40 hit “Don’t Ever Wanna Lose Ya.”
“Nothing To Fear” now gets a powerful new life on Gardner’s latest album Third Time’s A Charm, out now through Deko Entertainment. The record is a two-part masterpiece: one side featuring brand-new original songs, and the other bringing back New England classics with fresh energy and modern production. Gardner, joined by longtime bandmates Gary Shea and Jimmy Waldo, delivers a thunderous and emotional performance that captures both nostalgia and timeless rock energy.
The new recording also features the unmistakable talent of Ron ‘Bumblefoot’ Thal, known for his work with Guns N’ Roses, Asia, and Sons of Apollo. His electrifying guitar performance injects “Nothing To Fear” with a contemporary edge, giving the track a dazzling 21st-century punch. Fireworks Magazine contributor Malcolm Smith calls it “a majestic yet powerful track that in the realms of the rock world has few, if any equals.”
“Nothing To Fear” is a reminder of Hirsh Gardner’s undeniable impact as both a musician and producer. Over the years, he has shaped countless artists and earned multiple ‘Producer of the Year’ accolades, all while continuing to evolve his signature sound. With Third Time’s A Charm, Gardner bridges eras with pure creative brilliance — blending melodic rock’s golden age with the precision and passion of today’s production.
