Pophouse and the Avicii Estate have premiered Stories on Stories, a three-part mini-series exclusively on YouTube that brings fans into the creative world behind Avicii’s 2015 album Stories. The first episode offers an intimate look at the making of “For A Better Day,” capturing the collaboration between producer, songwriter, and DJ Tim “Avicii” Bergling and singer-songwriter Alex Ebert. Filmed in Los Angeles during two sessions in 2014 and 2015, the footage reveals the careful crafting of melody and meaning as the two artists build the song from its earliest spark to its final form. It’s a rare opportunity to watch Avicii’s creative process unfold in real time.
The series draws inspiration from a 2015 interview in which Avicii shared that his studio sessions were always filmed and that he dreamed of one day creating a series about his creative process. Premiering on November 6, Stories on Stories invites viewers to explore the making of select songs from the Stories album and to meet the collaborators who helped bring them to life. Future episodes, set to release on December 4 and January 1, will feature insights from Gavin DeGraw, Rami Yacoub, and Wyclef Jean, offering behind-the-scenes stories of songwriting, production, and the joy of musical discovery.
Avicii’s influence continues to inspire artists and fans around the world. Born Tim Bergling in Stockholm, he redefined electronic music by blending uplifting melodies with emotional storytelling. From global hits like “Levels,” “Wake Me Up,” “Hey Brother,” and “The Nights” to his acclaimed albums True and Stories, his sound became a bridge between genres and generations. With Stories on Stories, Avicii’s artistry and vision live on, giving fans a chance to see the mind of a creator who forever changed the sound of modern music.
