Shinedown are kicking off their next chapter with the release of their brand-new single “Searchlight,” out now via Atlantic Records. First debuted during their historic performance at the Grand Ole Opry, the song lit up the room and instantly became the centerpiece of the night. “We didn’t find this one, it found us,” frontman Brent Smith told the crowd before launching into the song.
Written by Brent Smith, Eric Bass, and Dave Bassett and produced by Bass at Big Animal Studio in Charleston, SC, “Searchlight” blends Shinedown’s signature emotional punch with new sonic textures, including pedal steel and banjo. Its official music video, filmed the day after the Opry debut, captures both the band’s dynamic performance and the song’s deep resonance.
Shinedown also announced their first-ever curated festival, Lunatic Ball Beach Weekend, taking place October 23–25, 2026 in Miramar Beach, FL. The lineup includes two headlining sets from Shinedown along with performances from BUSH, Hanson, Flyleaf (with Lacey Sturm), Living Colour, From Ashes to New, Guardians of the Jukebox, Neon Mooners, and more still to be announced.
