Rising R&B/country/gospel trailblazer Tiera Kennedy has officially released two brand new holiday singles via Green is My Color: the cozy original standout “Christmas Feeling” and a powerful, soulful cover of the classic hymn “Mary Did You Know.” The original track, “Christmas Feeling,” was co-written by Kennedy, Cameron Bedell, Emily Landis, Lauren Scott, and Joe L. Barnes, with Bedell also producing the song, ensuring a truly warm and classic holiday sound. Kennedy shared the personal inspiration behind the track, saying, “‘Christmas Feeling’ is such a special song for me. Kamren and I have been married for four years and together for eleven, and every day with him really does feel like Christmas. There’s this cozy, peaceful feeling that comes with the season – the warmth, the love, the togetherness – and it always reminds me how grateful I am for what we share.
Kennedy also spoke about recording the timeless hymn, noting, “I also recorded ‘Mary Did You Know?’ Which has been one of my favorite Christmas songs for as long as I can remember. It’s such a powerful reminder of faith – it blows my mind to think about how Mary must have felt, literally carrying the child of God.” “Christmas Feeling” follows a strong year of 2025 originals, including the afro-pop earworm “Somebody Like You” and the gospel duet “Making Room” featuring Joe L Barnes. Earlier this year, Kennedy also celebrated the first anniversary of the Grammy Album of the Year, ‘Cowboy Carter’, which included her two features on “Blackbiird” and “Tyrant,” by releasing a stunning cover of Beyoncé’s “1+1.” Tiera is now putting the finishing touches on her highly anticipated album, which is set for release in early 2026.
