Amazon Music has today released the accompanying video for Lewis Capaldi’s Amazon Music Original track “The Day That I Die (Orchestral Version – Amazon Music Original)”.
Filmed at the iconic Lyndhurst Hall in London’s Air Studios, the Amazon Music orchestration features a new arrangement by Sam Swallow, performed by a 52-piece orchestra and choir. The lush instrumentation gives the song an intense new dimension, highlighting Capaldi’s unmistakable talent. “The Day That I Die,” his rawest, most personal track to date, has been moving fans to tears on his recent tour, and this video brings its emotional intensity to life on screen.
Lewis Capaldi’s monumental return has seen him storm back to the top of the charts, earning his sixth UK No.1 single with comeback track “Survive”, the fastest-selling single of 2025 and his biggest-ever opening week, surpassing Sabrina Carpenter and Lady Gaga. With this milestone, he joins the ranks of Beyoncé, Britney Spears, Drake, Lady Gaga and Queen as one of the few artists to achieve six UK No.1 singles, alongside 10 Top 10 hits. The track has also seen standout US performances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Good Morning America. His previous album “Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent” a hit-packed, critically acclaimed record featuring collaborations with Max Martin, Malay and Phil Plested, delivered three UK No.1 singles (“Pointless”, “Wish You The Best” and the Platinum-certified “Forget Me”) and debuted at No.1, outselling the rest of the Top 10 combined.
After blazing through his recent 200,000-ticket UK arena tour, Lewis announced his biggest ever UK & Irish headline shows for next summer, with more being added due to phenomenal demand. Twelve huge outdoor headline shows will include two at London’s 65,000 capacity American Express presents BST Hyde Park on July 11th & 12th.
