The Portland trio HOAXED has proudly announced their potent sophomore album ‘Death Knocks’, set for a February 13, 2026, release via Relapse, following three years of honing their twilight-fed dark rock to perfection. The group, featuring Kat Keo, Kim Coffel, and new bassist April Dimmick, marked the occasion by releasing the album’s lead single, “Where the Seas Fall Silent,” which immediately sets the stage for the album’s thematic exploration of the unknown and the edge of death. With Dimmick’s classic heavy metal influence adding real bite, the band drives cyclical riffs and bottom-heavy bass through the filmic, hard-nosed gloom. The polished, big-sounding force, recorded at Falcon Recording Studios and mixed by Arthur Rizk, perfectly captures the larger-than-life scale of their alluring songs, sealed by Keo’s sorcerous vocal hooks.
