Founding frontman Dave McCabe enters a vibrant new creative phase this spring as he embarks on an intimate UK headline tour under the name Dave Zuton. These stripped-back performances offer a rare opportunity to hear the legendary songwriter deliver “Valerie” and “Pressure Point” alongside brand-new material from his upcoming 2026 solo album. Joined by special guest and longtime collaborator James Jay Lewis of Cast fame, McCabe intends to showcase the raw emotion and soul-infused rock that solidified his reputation as one of the most distinctive voices in British music.
The April trek follows the anticipated release of his debut solo single “When You’re Young” and takes the duo to a series of unique venues off the beaten track. From the historic St George’s Church in Wigan to the iconic Brudenell Social Club in Leeds, the setlists will feature a mix of deep cuts and hits originally written for ‘Who Killed…… The Zutons?’. McCabe is eager to share the new songs he has been quietly developing, promising a fearless and emotionally direct connection with audiences in these acoustic settings.
Each evening serves as a celebration of instinctive songwriting as Dave Zuton and James Jay Lewis perform together on stage to bring these melodies to life in their purest form. This journey across the UK marks the first time fans can experience the evolution of McCabe’s sound from his Liverpool roots to his latest solo chapter. The tour concludes with a major homecoming show at the Jacaranda Baltic in Liverpool, ensuring a powerful finale to this exciting introduction of his new material.
