Diane Hubka & The Sun Canyon Band release their sophomore album ‘Moon Over Larrabee,’ a 12-track set shaped by the moonlit streets of West Hollywood where the band first took form near Sunset Boulevard. Drawing from Laurel Canyon traditions while moving freely through folk, Americana, country, blues, swing, and early rock and roll, the album blends six originals with carefully chosen traditional and classic material that reflects the band’s shared musical lineage.
The record features guest appearances from Albert Lee on two tracks, including a mandolin performance, alongside standouts such as “Sun Canyon,” “Moon Over Larrabee,” “If I Could Only Win Your Love,” and “Ordinary Madness.” Fronted by Diane Hubka with guitarist and songwriter Rick Mayock, and completed by Joe Caccavo and Irv Gershenz, the album brings together Appalachian folk roots and West Coast songwriting into a cohesive release grounded in place, collaboration, and craft.
