Legendary musician and A&M Records co-founder Herb Alpert has extended his global tour into 2026, marking his first run with the reformed Tijuana Brass in over four decades. The current itinerary features an all-new lineup performing under the banner “Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass & Other Delights,” a production that commemorates the 60th anniversary of the historic 1965 album Whipped Cream & Other Delights. These 90-minute performances function as a multi-media experience, utilizing a giant video screen to display rare photos and memorabilia from Alpert’s 64-year career. The setlist features a sequence of definitive hits including “The Lonely Bull,” “Spanish Flea,” and “A Taste of Honey,” alongside Alpert’s iconic vocal performance of “This Guy’s In Love With You.”
The 2026 dates follow a year of significant milestones for the trumpeter, who celebrated his 90th birthday with a sold-out stand at New York’s Jazz at Lincoln Center in 2025. In addition to the anniversary tour, Alpert recently released his 50th studio album, 50, which commemorates his golden wedding anniversary with Grammy-winning vocalist Lani Hall. The record features reimagined classics such as “Sh-Boom” and “Baubles, Bangles And Beads,” delivered in his signature melodic style. Beyond the music, the live show includes informal Q&A segments where Alpert shares insights into the founding of A&M Records and his work with artists like The Carpenters and Sergio Mendes. This tour is a polished and intimate master class from one of the most successful instrumentalists in music history.
