Baz Warne Takes Stories Off The Page With Intimate “Convivial” UK Tour

In October 2025, Baz Warne released his book ‘No Grass Grows On A Busy Street’, a collection of tour diaries, stories, and reflections marking 25 years as frontman of The Stranglers. The book traces a life spent on stages around the world, from Glastonbury Festival to the Acropolis, while also reflecting on Warne’s earlier years with The Toy Dolls and Smalltown Heroes. Following a well-received Q and A appearance at Manchester’s Louder Than Words music and book festival, curated by John Robb, Warne began shaping a new way to bring those stories directly to audiences.

That idea becomes the Convivial UK Tour 2026, a seated run of shows blending songs, conversation, and audience questions in an informal setting. Warne describes the evenings as something that sits between a book tour and a gig, with each night unfolding differently. The shows mark the first time he has taken this kind of unscripted format on the road, offering room for reflection, humour, and spontaneous detours drawn from decades inside British post-punk and new wave history.

The tour runs through February and March, with dates across Scotland, England, and Wales. Tickets for Baz Warne’s Convivial UK Tour 2026 are on sale now via crosstownconcerts.com. ‘No Grass Grows On A Busy Street’ is out now in hardback and documents Warne’s journey through five decades of music, including his role in guiding The Stranglers through a period of renewal defined by sustained touring and new albums.
