Little Feat Announces Last Farewell Tour With Documentary Premiere In February

Little Feat has announced The Last Farewell Tour, their intention to retire the band’s trusty bus and stop touring, although they will definitely not stop playing. The legendary rock band debuts a beautiful new video of “Long Distance Love”, a Little Feat classic re-recorded with Amy Helm during the pandemic, today at Relix.com. This new version of the song will be available on all digital outlets Thursday, February 5.

Reworking “Long Distance Love” was a powerful experience for a band then newly welcoming Scott Sharrard and Tony Leone. Scott commented, “The track is a testament to resiliency in the face of adversity, and a tribute to the band’s legacy, and our incredible musical community of fans and musical collaborators. Amy Helm has been a good friend to us all for many years, and singing this track with her was like a family reunion that really added the special sauce to this reinterpretation.”

Director Jesse Lauter, known for Learning to Live Together: The Return of Mad Dogs and Englishmen, has spent the last several years crafting an amazing new film, ‘Little Feat: The Documentary’. The film draws together rare and never-before-seen archival footage and new interviews with Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne, Emmylou Harris, Elvis Costello, Michael McDonald, and members of the Grateful Dead, The Doobie Brothers and Phish. Narrated by Jeff Bridges, ‘Little Feat: The Documentary’ will have its world premiere at the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival on Saturday, February 21 at the Wilma Theatre in Missoula, Montana. Tickets are available to the public now.

The Last Farewell Tour kicks off April 10 at The Plaza Live in Orlando and includes stops at New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, Tennessee Theatre in Knoxville, The Paramount Theatre in Austin, Englert Theatre in Iowa City and many more venues throughout spring and summer.
