The alternative pop standout has released his new single “Breathe,” arriving alongside an official music video directed by longtime collaborator Aidan Cullen and featuring choreography from Lexee Smith. The release opens the next phase of Todd’s rapidly growing career.
“Breathe” was co-produced by Todd and highlights the atmospheric pop sound that has quickly defined his catalog. The track unfolds with a smooth, hypnotic groove that blends emotional vocals with modern alternative pop textures. It’s another strong step forward from one of the genre’s most compelling young voices.
The release follows a major breakout year. Todd’s 2025 self-titled album ‘Malcolm Todd’ has already generated more than 600 million global streams, powered by the breakout single “Chest Pain (I Love).” The track marked Todd’s first appearance on the Billboard Hot 100 and has surpassed 350 million streams worldwide.
The song’s reach expanded further when Don Toliver sampled “Chest Pain (I Love)” on his track “E85,” which climbed to No. 15 on the Billboard Hot 100 and reached the top of the Hot Rap Songs chart. The moment pushed Todd’s songwriting into an even wider spotlight.
Todd’s momentum has also carried to the stage. His Wholesome Rockstar Tour sold more than 85,000 tickets across the United States before heading overseas for performances in London, Berlin, Paris and Australia.
