Sublime Drop Surprise Single “Can’t Miss You” Ahead of New Album ‘Until the Sun Explodes’

0

No countdown clock, no influencer campaign, no teaser rollout. Sublime quietly released “Can’t Miss You” as a direct offering to the fans who have followed them for decades, and it’s one of the best moves they could have made. The track is out now via Atlantic Records, the second preview of their upcoming album ‘Until the Sun Explodes,’ arriving June 12th.

Frontman Jakob Nowell is direct about where the song came from. “Can’t Miss You is probably my favorite track on the record. It was one of those magic songs that got written in a day. The strange chord progression was definitely inspired by my father’s songwriting, especially songs like Pool Shark and STP,” he says. “Classic Sublime always had this feeling like you never knew where the song was going to take you. I look towards my father’s work for guidance at every turn, and Can’t Miss You is a perfect example of that.”

The lead single “Until the Sun Explodes” is already in the Top 5 on the Mediabase alternative radio charts and climbing. Its official music video moves through locations across Long Beach tied to Sublime’s history, with appearances by skateboard legends Christian Hosoi and Omar Hassan connecting the band’s legacy to Southern California’s punk and skate culture. Bradley Nowell’s presence ties every frame of it together.

The album arrives in the middle of a year loaded with activity. Sublime recently played 2 sold-out nights at Red Rocks Amphitheatre celebrating the 30th anniversary of their self-titled 1996 album, and opened a Grammy Museum exhibit titled Sublime: Straight From Long Beach, running through September 7th in Los Angeles.

The band also launched Sublime Festival, their own touring music festival, with stops in Portland, OR on June 27th and Salt Lake City, UT on July 18th. And this November, they set sail on the Sublime Reef Madness cruise, November 15-19, departing Miami for Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas aboard Norwegian Jewel.

‘Until the Sun Explodes’ is out June 12th via Atlantic Records.

Anderson Paak Directs His First Feature Film and Drops a 17-Song Soundtrack to Match

0

Anderson Paak is making his feature film directorial debut, and he’s bringing half the K-pop world with him. ‘K-Pops! (Music From and Inspired by K-Pops! Motion Picture)’ arrives May 29th, one day before the film hits Netflix on May 30th. The 17-track soundtrack features G-Dragon, Aespa, JID, NMIXX, Dean, Hongjoong of Ateez, Joshua of Seventeen, Soyeon of I-dle, Kevin Woo, and more, with Paak appearing throughout and his son Soul Rasheed making his musical debut on the project.

The film, which Paak wrote, directed, and stars in alongside Soul Rasheed, is set against a fictional Seoul-based K-pop competition show and explores generational connection and cultural exchange through music. It’s already Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes.

2 tracks are out ahead of the full release. “Aftertaste” with Seoul alt-R&B artist Dean dropped last week. “Keychain” with Aespa arrived in February, a groove-heavy pop collaboration that landed with immediate impact. Both were produced by Dem Jointz, who serves as executive producer across the entire soundtrack, with additional production from Paak and others.

The project also includes a new version of Paak and G-Dragon’s 2025 single “Too Bad,” which hit No. 30 on Billboard’s Global 200 and won a Mama Award, the Asian equivalent of a Grammy.

“The soundtrack blends genres and influences from across continents,” Paak says. “Every song comes from a real place, and together they tell the story of the film in a powerful way.”

Paak enters this release having scored his 15th Grammy nomination earlier this year, Best Dance/Electronic Recording for “No Cap” with Disclosure. The nine-time Grammy winner turns 40 this year and is operating at full creative velocity.

Becky G Drops “EPA” With a Video That Turns a Community Market Into a Full-On Celebration

0

Becky G has been teasing “EPA” on social media for weeks, and the wait is over. The new single is out now via RCA Records alongside its official music video, and it arrives as one of the most confident releases of her career.

Built around an addictive chant-heavy hook, “EPA” moves fluidly between Spanish and English with a carefree energy that feels immediate and fully realized. The track is bright, kinetic, and built for warm weather, with Becky G sounding completely in her element across every bar.

The video, directed by Dominican filmmaker Olivia De Camps and filmed at El Mercadito, transforms an everyday community market into a vibrant, high-energy celebration. Choreography by Tyrik J Patterson anchors the visuals, with spontaneous moments of movement building as more people join in throughout. The video features a cameo by drag queen Valentina and roots itself in Mexican cultural references, creating something communal and alive from start to finish.

The release follows a strong stretch for Becky G. Last month she received the Global Impact Award at Billboard Latin Women in Music 2026, delivered a special performance of Selena’s “Dreaming of You” during the ceremony, and covered both Billboard and Billboard Español. She also joined Karol G on stage at both weekends of Coachella for a surprise performance of their global hit “MAMIII.”

Five Finger Death Punch Drop “Eye of the Storm” and Launch Their 20th Anniversary World Tour

0

Five Finger Death Punch are 20 years in, and “Eye Of The Storm” makes clear they’re treating the milestone as a launching pad. The first single from their forthcoming tenth studio album is out now, arriving ahead of a 48-city North American tour and a UK and European run that extends into early 2027.

The new album is being recorded in Los Angeles and is expected out this year. Founder and guitarist Zoltan Bathory describes a record built from nearly 30 songs, whittled down to 14 or 15, with the band at one point considering a double album. “The new music has been turning out heavier than anything we’ve done in years, with a cinematic undertone running beneath it,” Bathory says. “I’m hearing the early era again, that grit, that bite, that aggression, while simultaneously exploring completely new territories. It feels like coming home at full speed.”

Bathory also points to vocalist Ivan Moody’s contributions: “His voice sounds absolutely huge on this record.” With 30 Top 10 hit singles already in their catalog, the band enters this album cycle with serious momentum behind them.

The 20th Anniversary World Tour kicks off July 20th at Freedom Mortgage Pavilion in Camden, NJ, with special guests Cody Jinks and Eva Under Fire on most North American dates. The run closes October 23rd at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, VA. Eva Under Fire’s current single “Villainous,” featuring Maria Brink of In This Moment, sits at No. 15 on the rock charts this week.

The tour carries a charitable component tied to Five Finger Death Punch’s long history of giving back. A portion of ticket sales from the 2026 North American run benefits high-performance programs for U.S. Olympic and Paralympic athletes preparing for the 2028 Los Angeles Games.

The 2027 UK and European leg opens January 16th in Manchester with Lamb Of God and Bleed From Within, hitting 21 cities across the continent before closing February 22nd in Helsinki.

“Eye Of The Storm” is out now. The tenth studio album follows later this year.

Maren Morris Releases “Parachute” and Makes Her Acting Debut on CBS’s Sheriff Country

0

Maren Morris is having a big week. Her new song “Parachute” is out now alongside an official lyric video, written specifically for CBS procedural Sheriff Country, where Morris also makes her acting debut in tonight’s penultimate episode of season one, airing at 8 pm ET/PT.

In the episode, Morris plays Hazel, a sponsor to Skye, Sheriff Mickey’s daughter, whose recovery journey has been one of the emotional centers of the season. Hazel arrives as a grounding presence during a pivotal moment in Skye’s story, and “Parachute” provides the musical backdrop for that arc.

The song itself is an uplifting, emotionally resonant track about overcoming adversity and allowing difficult moments to become catalysts for growth and healing. Produced by longtime collaborator Jimmy Robbins, it pairs lush, ethereal production with Morris’s soaring vocal performance. It’s one of her most expansive-sounding releases in recent memory, and lands with real emotional weight.

Next month, Morris heads out on the DreamGirl Tour, a 12-date summer run with support from Scout Willis covering the west coast of North America, with stops in Calgary, Las Vegas, Denver, Salt Lake City, Seattle, and more. The run arrives as Morris approaches the tenth anniversary of ‘Hero,’ her breakthrough debut album from 2016, and draws from all 4 albums in her catalog.

“Parachute” is out now via Columbia Nashville.

Martin Garrix and Ed Sheeran Release “Repeat It,” a Collaboration 12 Years in the Making

0

12 years after it was started in a Nashville studio, “Repeat It” is officially out. Martin Garrix and Ed Sheeran have released their long-awaited collaboration via STMPD RCRDS, timed to Garrix’s 30th birthday and a moment both artists have been building toward for over a decade.

The track fuses Sheeran’s vocal style with Garrix’s polished production, blending electronic dance music with guitar-driven and orchestral textures into a dance-pop crossover that reflects how both artists have evolved since the song’s original sessions. The music video, directed by Liam Pethick and filmed in Santiago, takes a nostalgic approach, weaving in key moments from both artists’ lives across the past 12 years. The single artwork comes from viral contemporary artist Werner Bronkhorst, known for his textured, hyper-realistic miniature scenes.

Garrix is direct about what the release means. “We actually started this song 12 years ago in Nashville, and for the longest time, I genuinely thought it would never be an official release,” he says. “To finally be here now feels really surreal. Working with Ed has been so much fun. He’s an incredible human, artist, but also one of my dear friends from the industry.”

Sheeran traces the origin back to a night out in Amsterdam. “Me and Martin made ‘Repeat It’ 12 years ago after we made friends on a night out in Amsterdam,” he says. “I’d say every day fans leave comments under my posts asking where it is, so this one is for you guys.”

The release lands mid-tour. Garrix is currently running through his largest and most ambitious North and South American headlining run to date, the 27-show Martin Garrix Americas Tour. Last month he drew 130,000 fans to his set at Veracruz, Mexico’s Puerto Sonoro Festival, and he plays Movistar Arena in Santiago, Chile tonight.

“Repeat It” is out now via STMPD RCRDS.

Grace Potter Announces Seventh Album ‘Trespasser’ and Releases First Single “Love Me Not”

0

Today, four-time GRAMMY nominee Grace Potter announced her seventh studio album, Trespasser, due outAugust 21 via Thirty Tigers. Across 10 tracks, Trespasser introduces a beautifully unruly cast of characters who step into forbidden spaces with absolute abandon. Pre-order the albumHERE.

As the spiritual sequel to 2023’s critically acclaimed Mother Road, Potter continues the kaleidoscopic storyline shaped by her many road trips from her Topanga Canyon home to her part-time residence in her native Vermont (a journey she’s made eight times in the last five years, usually on her own). But while Mother Road was born from a desperate need for solace in the midst of emotional freefall, Trespasser reveals an artist firmly anchored in her singular vision. The latest chapter in a career marked by endless transformation and elite recognition, Trespasser ultimately lights the way toward a more unbound and expansive means of moving through the world.

Also today, Potter released the album’s first single, “Love Me Not.” After beginning in a bruised but baiting, slow-burning fragility, the track morphs into a high-energy free-for-all after the first chorus, dancing through the emotional wreckage with a euphoric rush of radiant piano melodies and fantastically rowdy gang vocals. Listen to “Love Me Not” HERE.

“We’ve always been taught that the trespassers are the bad guys, but to me it’s not about reckless rebellion—it’s about exploring, physically and mentally and emotionally, and being willing to step outside the narratives we’ve accepted,” Potter shares. “Because in my experience, the places we’re told not to go are exactly the ones that show us who we really are.”

Although each song on Trespasser opens a window onto her inner landscape, Potter conceptualized the album as a dimension-hopping road saga, weaving together what she refers to as “these fables and storylines that have been whooshing around my soul for a very long time.” Part myth, part fever dream, the LP’s rotating cast of drifters circles around Topeka: a wild-hearted nomad who drives off a bridge in the breathless and scorching “Ride Or Die,” only to be resurrected within the spectral reverie of “Gasoline.” With its ensemble of misfits also including the lascivious ghost of a café delivery boy and the jealousy-crazed diner owner who killed him, Trespasser turns epic on “War On The Mountain”—a mythic psychodrama in which wholeness comes from making peace with all the selves you were told to exile.

Produced by her husband and frequent collaborator Eric Valentine (Queens of the Stone Age, Weezer, Slash) and recorded in a cross-country journey beginning at her home in Topanga with Benmont Tench (Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers), continuing in Nashville with Mother Road session players Nick Bockrath (Cage the Elephant), Tim Deaux (Kings of Leon), and Matt Musty (Train), and completed in Vermont with members of her longtime live band (guitarists Indya Bratton and Ricky Dover Jr, bassist Kurtis Keber, drummer Jordan West), the album echoes its origins with a wayward sound that spans from stripped-bare soul to cosmic country to hellraising rock & roll—all while orbiting Potter’s force-of-nature voice and lavishly imagined storytelling.

This summer, Potter is set to join Chris Stapleton for five shows on his All American Road Show Tour, marking the third consecutive year she’s been on the road with the country superstar. Potter will also join Zac Brown Band for 11 shows on their Love and Fear Tour this fall. She’ll kick off her stretch of the tour with two nights at Forrest Hills Stadium in New York City, and will also offer support at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, SC, Allstate Arena in Rosemont, IL, two nights at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO, and more. For more information and tickets, please visit https://www.gracepotter.com/tour/.

Tickets are also on sale for Potter’s annual Grand Point North Festival. The beloved festival will take place at Waterfront Park in her native Burlington, VT on September 18, 19, and 20. In addition to Potter, this year’s performers include Dark Star OrchestraPortugal. The ManTrampled By TurtlesThe Devil Makes Three, and Maggie Rose, as well as a variety of local Vermont bands. Profits will go towards Potter’s Grant Point Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to supporting the arts in Vermont. Tickets are on-sale today. BTS Takes Over Las Vegas With Arirang-Themed Citywide Activations Running May 20-31

0

BTS The City Arirang Las Vegas runs May 20-31, turning the entire city into an extension of the group’s fifth studio album, ‘Arirang,’ with immersive experiences spread across the Strip, Downtown, Off-Strip Hotels, and beyond.

The visual footprint is city-wide and deliberate. Las Vegas landmarks will be illuminated in ‘Arirang’s signature red, digital marquees will carry BTS welcome messaging throughout the city, and Sphere’s iconic Exosphere will display large-scale Arirang-themed visuals. Food and beverage offerings and exclusive after-party events round out the programming, alongside stamp rally missions and pre-reservation activations mapped across multiple locations.

Compared to The City in 2022, this year’s edition has expanded substantially, growing from one-off activations into a four-part series carried out with support from Visit Las Vegas. The project now encompasses Las Vegas as a whole rather than concentrating solely on the Strip.

The timing connects directly to one of the biggest commercial moments in K-pop history. ‘Arirang’ debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 immediately upon release, with lead single “Swim” simultaneously debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. All 41 dates on the BTS World Tour Arirang’s North American, European, and UK run have sold out, moving nearly 2.4 million tickets. The full 2026-2027 world tour spans 34 regions and over 80 shows, with first-ever performances in several cities, making it the largest tour in BTS’s career and on track to become the biggest global K-pop tour of all time.

BTS The City Arirang Las Vegas runs through May 31st.

Gracie Abrams Launches a New Era With “Hit the Wall” and Announces Album ‘Daughter from Hell’

0

Gracie Abrams has a new single out and a new album on the way. “Hit the Wall,” the lead single from her forthcoming third studio album ‘Daughter from Hell,’ is out now via Interscope Records, alongside an official video directed by Renell Medrano that frames Abrams’ inner world through a surrealist, shadow-heavy visual language packed with symbolic imagery.

‘Daughter from Hell’ arrives July 17th, written and produced by Abrams alongside Aaron Dessner. It’s her first album in 2 years, following ‘The Secret of Us,’ which debuted at No. 1 in the UK, Australia, and the Netherlands and landed at No. 2 on the Billboard 200.

‘The Secret of Us’ built Abrams’ profile track by track. “Close to You” marked her first solo entry on the Billboard Hot 100. “I Love You, I’m Sorry” peaked at No. 9 on the US Spotify Chart and No. 31 on the Hot 100. The deluxe edition added “That’s So True,” which climbed to No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 and gave Abrams her first top 10 entry.

“Hit the Wall” is a strong opening move for a record that clearly operates in a different register. Stripped back and atmospherically dense, it signals a more inward-looking direction while keeping the melodic instincts that made ‘The Secret of Us’ such a commercial and critical success.

‘Daughter from Hell’ is out July 17th via Interscope Records.

Shakira and Burna Boy Drop “Dai Dai,” the Official Anthem of the FIFA World Cup 2026

0

The FIFA World Cup 2026 has its anthem. Shakira and Burna Boy have released “Dai Dai” via Sony Music Latin, the official song of the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, a campaign targeting $100 million raised by the end of the tournament to connect children in underserved communities with access to quality education and sports.

Shakira’s royalties from “Dai Dai” go directly to the Education Fund. Sony Music will match the first $250,000 raised with a donation. And Shakira is contributing $1 from every ticket sold on her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran Tour to the fund as well.

“The World Cup is one of the few things the entire world experiences together,” Burna Boy says. “Football and music speak the same language. They bring people together no matter where you’re from and being part of this moment through music means a lot to me.”

The song sets up one of the most anticipated halftime shows in sporting history. On Sunday, July 19th, Shakira co-headlines the FIFA World Cup 2026 Final Halftime Show alongside Madonna and BTS, the first halftime show in FIFA World Cup Final history.

Shakira arrives at this moment at an extraordinary peak. Billboard crowned her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour the highest-grossing Hispanic tour of all time, generating $421.6 million across 82 stadium shows with over 3.3 million people in attendance. In early May, she performed for more than 2 million fans at Copacabana Beach for Todo Mundo No Rio, one of the highest attended concerts ever recorded, bringing out Anitta, Caetano Veloso, Maria Bethânia, Ivete Sangalo, and others for a set spanning her entire career.

This fall, Shakira headlines an 11-night stadium European residency in Madrid, in a stadium being built and named specifically for her. More than half a million tickets are already sold. A limited U.S. arena run this summer gives North American fans a closer look at the production before the European dates.

Burna Boy’s appearance on “Dai Dai” reflects a career that continues to operate at the intersection of music, sport, and global culture. From stadium headline slots to the NBA All-Star Game, he remains one of the most important live performers working today.

“Dai Dai” is out now via Sony Music Latin.
