It is available now on EcoCD, EcoRecord LP and digital. Current single WE PRAY – with Little Simz, Burna Boy, Elyanna and TINI – is the iTunes chart-topping follow-up to June’s double MTV VMAs-nominated single feelslikeimfallinginlove, which reached Number 1 on both the UK’s airplay chart and the Official Big Top 40. Chris Martin posted a video offering some insight into the album and its accompanying Notebook Edition, saying: “I think what this album is about is a response tostruggling with all the conflict within oneself, within myself, and also all the conflict outside, and working out what the best response is. And I think what Moon Music is trying to say is maybe love is the best response.”

The band recently issued an update on their sustainability initiatives, revealing that, on a show-by-show comparison, the current tour has so far produced 59% less CO2e missions than their previous stadium tour in 2016/17, exceeding their original target of a 50% reduction. More than 9 million trees have alredy been planted around the world (with a further million to be planted before the end of the year). In 2022, he released “M87” as the theme song for the film Shin Ultraman, and “POP SONG” as the theme song for a PlayStation commercial. His single “KICK BACK,” the opening theme for the TV anime Chainsaw Man, made Spotify’s Global Top 50, and became the first Japanese-language song certified Gold by RIAA®. 5 Surprising Facts About Stevie Wonder’s ‘Innervisions’

There’s something magical about an album that doesn’t just stand the test of time—it rewrites it. Stevie Wonder’s Innervisions, released on August 3, 1973, is one of those rare records that reshaped music forever. With its soulful genius and groundbreaking use of synthesizers, it captured hearts, inspired change, and solidified Wonder’s transition into a mature, socially conscious artist. But even an album as revered as this holds secrets. Here are five facts you probably didn’t know about Innervisions.

1. It Was a One-Man Masterpiece

On many of the album’s tracks, Stevie Wonder played every single instrument himself. From the clavinet in “Higher Ground” to the Moog synthesizers throughout, Wonder’s musical virtuosity shines. This hands-on approach not only elevated the sound but also cemented him as a pioneer in self-produced records.

2. The T.O.N.T.O. Synthesizer Revolutionized the Sound

The futuristic vibe of Innervisions owes a lot to the T.O.N.T.O. synthesizer (The Original New Timbral Orchestra). Developed by Malcolm Cecil and Robert Margouleff, this massive synth system was the largest of its kind at the time. Wonder embraced its potential, using it to create lush, otherworldly sounds that influenced commercial soul and black music for decades.

3. It Predicted Its Own Legacy with “Higher Ground”

Here’s where it gets spooky. Wonder wrote and recorded “Higher Ground” just before a near-fatal car accident left him in a coma for 10 days. After waking up, he felt the song had a prophetic quality, reflecting his belief in reincarnation and a second chance at life. It became one of his most iconic tracks, resonating deeply with fans and himself.

4. The Album Tackled Bold, Uncharted Themes

Songs like “Living for the City” didn’t just top charts—they opened eyes. With its vivid portrayal of systemic racism, Wonder’s storytelling incorporated sounds from the street—sirens, voices, and traffic—creating one of the first soul songs to bring everyday realities into its narrative. It wasn’t just music; it was a call to action.

5. The Recording Was Nearly a Casualty of Its Time

Just three days after Innervisions was released, Wonder’s car accident could have derailed his career entirely. The album was already garnering attention, but Wonder’s resilience and faith—along with his hospital room jam sessions—brought him back to his music. Against all odds, Innervisions soared, proving unstoppable even in the face of adversity.

Innervisions is more than an album—it’s a journey. It’s a testament to Stevie Wonder’s brilliance, resilience, and courage to speak the truth through his art. From its trailblazing use of synthesizers to its timeless social commentary, it remains a cornerstone of musical history. Whether you’ve loved it for years or are just discovering it now, remember: every listen is a reminder that true artistry knows no bounds. As Stevie might say, “Don’t you worry ’bout a thing”—this masterpiece will always inspire.

7 Hidden Features of Amazon Fire Stick

0

By Mitch Rice

Amazon Fire devices have been an integral part of home entertainment since the advent of online streaming of content. If you are an existing Firestick user, you might think by now that you have mastered the controls of your device. However, there are some features that you might not know about your Firestick device. These mighty yet secret tools that might transform your home entertainment experience! Here are some interesting hidden features of Firestick you need to use.

Fire TV Shortcut Menu

Using the Fire TV shortcut menu you can save time while accessing the “Settings” menu repeatedly? Here’s something new that can change the routine: a built-in shortcut assumed to bring all of this to the fore. Amazon has made it just that easy to access their quick menu for faster navigation.

  1. Simply press and hold the “Home” button on the remote.
  2. A quick Settings menu will appear from the bottom with options such as Sleep, Mirroring, Settings, and Apps.
  3. Depending on the model of your device, these might differ ever so slightly, but this is indeed an incredibly handy feature.

Enable Parental Controls: Keep Your Kids Safe

Worried about what your kids might stumble upon while using your Fire TV? Amazon provides an easy way to enable Parental Controls over both your Amazon Prime Instant account and any installed apps.

It’s a feature that limits the access to inappropriate content and unwanted purchases.

Just bear in mind that while Amazon content has a separate device-level control, third-party apps like Netflix need to have restrictions set up independently.

Record Your Screen: Capture What Matters

Did you know your Amazon Fire Tablet can record your screen? Yes, you heard it—that secret screen recorder can catch anything happening on your device. From creating tutorials to keeping memories alive, and even sharing interesting clips, it is a must-try feature.

This is how to do it:

  1. Swipe down from the top of the screen to see the Quick Settings menu.
  2. Tap on “Screen Recording” to start recording.
  3. Select the option to record audio, as per your needs.
  4. When done, press the stop button from the notification bar.
  5. Your recordings would then be saved in your gallery or video folder on the device.

Expand Internal Storage: More Room for Fun

Running out of storage space on your Fire device? You’re not alone. The Fire TV Cube (2nd Gen. 2019) has internal storage of 16GB, while the Fire TV Stick 4K and 4K Max have 8GB each. Heavy users can fill up this space quickly.

Fortunately, you can expand storage with a USB stick or drive in the Fire TV Cube. For Fire TV Stick models, you’ll have to use an OTG USB cable in order to manually move files to an external drive.

Let’s get started:

  1. Use USB 3.0 stick and must be in FAT32 format.
  2. Plug it into your device.
  3. From Settings, select Applications.
  4. Select Manage Installed Applications to transfer files to the USB stick.

Access Free Content on Firestick

Although most streaming services like Prime Video and Netflix are paid, there are many that offer free content including movies, TV shows and even sports events. This is possible by installing third party apps that Amazon does not allow on their devices. However, Kodi is a media player for Firestick that allows you to install various addons that offer access to free entertainment content. By installing Kodi and a few addons you can access your favourite movies, and TV shows for free. You can learn how to install it here and search for Kodi addons online that offer the content you want to watch. Kodi also enables you to use any IPTV service on your Firestick.

Connect Bluetooth Headphones: Personalise Your Audio

Want to enjoy Fire TV without any disturbances? The device supports Bluetooth headphones which should help in watching your favourite shows away without disturbing others.

  1. First, put the Bluetooth headphones into pairing mode.
  2. Next, open Settings on your Fire TV.
  3. Next, go to Controllers and Bluetooth Devices, then Other Bluetooth Devices.
  4. Wait for a moment until your headphones do show up, and then connect.
  5. Heads-up: about a couple of clicks and it’s done!

Use Your Smartphone as a Remote

Did you lose the remote? No worries. Amazon has something for you: the Fire TV app for your smartphone. It not just works like your remote but also has some new functionality, including text entry and voice commands.

First, make sure both your Fire TV and smartphone are connected to the same wi-fi network; then download the app, complete the setup, and enjoy having full control over your device.

Summing Up

Firestick is a device from Amazon’s Fire family that is more than a mere streaming device. It offers an array of hidden features that can make it easier, more entertaining, and far more customizable. Using the above mentioned features of Firestick you can use it more simply and conveniently. Moreover, using a media player like Kodi and its addons, you get access to free entertainment content you can enjoy with your friends or family.

The album’s success led to a massive tour which ran from fall of 1998 through the summer of 1999, including a performance at the infamous Woodstock 1999. The Dirty Boogie’s success was capped off with a Grammy win for Brian’s version of “Sleepwalk” for Best Pop Instrumental in 1999. 5 Surprising Facts About Amy Winehouse’s “Back to Black”

Amy Winehouse’s Back to Black isn’t just an album; it’s a classic. Released in 2006, it channeled heartbreak, strength, and retro soul vibes that took the music world by storm. But beyond its Grammy-winning acclaim, there’s a lot more to this masterpiece than meets the ear.

1. The “Rehab” Hook Was Born from Real-Life Intervention Drama
Amy’s famous line “They tried to make me go to rehab, but I said, no, no, no” wasn’t crafted in the studio—it was inspired by a real-life intervention led by her family. Producer Mark Ronson saw the potential in her offhand comment and urged her to turn it into a song. The result was one of the most iconic choruses in modern music, blending raw defiance with catchy rhythm.

2. A Live Taxi Test for Sound Quality
Amy was a perfectionist when it came to her music. To make sure her songs would sound just right for fans listening anywhere, she’d burn her recordings onto CDs and play them in her father’s taxi. This “taxi test” let her hear the music the way many fans would—on the move, surrounded by the everyday noise of the city.

3. The Dap-Kings Brought a Classic Soul Touch
To capture the vintage sound she wanted, Amy collaborated with Sharon Jones’s band, The Dap-Kings, known for their old-school soul style. They recorded parts of the album in a single room to achieve a “live” sound, using minimal technology. The horns, bass, and drums fused with Amy’s voice to create that timeless Wall of Sound vibe we hear in Back to Black.

4. Inspired by Her Love of ’60s Girl Groups
Winehouse was deeply influenced by the ’60s, especially groups like The Shangri-Las. Her love for that era shaped the album’s musical aesthetic and lyrical tone, from heartbreak anthems to the bittersweet soundscapes. Tracks like “Back to Black” echo the tragedy and longing of those classic girl-group ballads, but with her modern, edgy twist.

5. Mark Ronson Almost Changed the Famous “I Died a Hundred Times” Line
The unforgettable line, “I died a hundred times,” from the song “Back to Black” almost didn’t make it into the final cut. Producer Mark Ronson initially wanted to change it to make it rhyme, but Amy insisted on keeping it as-is. Her conviction paid off—the line became one of her most haunting and powerful expressions of heartbreak.

Back to Black is packed with nuances and stories like these, making it more than just an album; it’s a peek into the heart and soul of one of music’s most unforgettable voices.
