Aerosmith And Yungblud Unite For A Thunderous New Era With The Collaborative EP ‘One More Time’

0

Multi-GRAMMY Award-winning Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees Aerosmith and British multi-platinum, GRAMMY nominated artist Yungblud today released their collaborative EP One More Time, out now via Capitol Records. Marking Aerosmith’s first new music in more than twelve years, the five-track collection rallies together two generations of rock ’n’ roll across four original songs co-written by Aerosmith and Yungblud. With Tyler and Yungblud dueting on every track and Joe Perry’s signature guitar driving the sound, they wrote and recorded four brand new songs in addition to reigniting the Aerosmith classic “Back in the Saddle” together, presented here as a newly remixed 2025 version. Produced by Matt Schwartz, the EP is available digitally and as limited-edition vinyl, CD, and cassette HERE.

Aerosmith and Yungblud introduced the EP with the lead single “My Only Angel,” released on September 19 alongside an accompanying visual.  Opening with a stacked harmonic a-cappella vocal from Tyler and Yungblud — “Will you cry if I called you my angel? Would you leave me one more time?” — the track builds around echoing guitars, a steady beat, and a rumbling bassline before swelling into the hypnotic harmony shared by Tyler and Yungblud. Perry’s signature guitar solo closes the track, underscoring the chemistry between two generations of rock. “My Only Angel” debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Hard Rock Songs chart, where it remained in the Top 10 for three weeks. The song entered at No. 20 on the Hot Rock Songs chart, No. 23 on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart, and landed in the top-40 on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart — marking Aerosmith’s 45th appearance on the tally.  Since its release, the track continues to climb the Active Rock chart and has gone Top 5 with over 10,000 spins at over 75 stations, amassed over two million first-week streams, and surpassed 22 million total streams.

Following the original, the band and Yungblud shared “My Only Angel (Desert Road Version),” a stripped-back reinterpretation featuring a special guest performance from GRAMMY Award winner Steve Martin on banjo.  Inspired by the original track’s emotional core, the band and Yungblud returned to the studio to explore its more vulnerable side. During the session, Tyler — a longtime admirer of Martin — imagined the distinctive sound of a banjo bringing the song to a close. He reached out to Martin, who accepted the invitation and recorded his part remotely. The addition gives the new version its defining final moment: a soulful ending that trades the drive of the original for a grounded, textured feel, with Martin’s standout banjo solo carrying the song to its finish.

The EP also includes “Problems,” where Yungblud’s voice coasts over a cinematic arpeggio and big screen-size strings towards the refrain, “I got a whole lot of problems, but it don’t matter when I’m with you.” On “Wild Woman,” boogie-down bluesy phrasing and briskly strummed chords power a vocal call-and-response that smolders with grit and gusto. “A Thousand Days” arrives as a quintessential ballad: Yungblud laments, “Babe, Heaven’s gonna burn down officially,” with Tyler answering, “I’ve been looking for redemption.” The EP closes with “Back In The Saddle (2025 Mix),” which preserves the original’s integrity while amping up the energy and volume all around, pairing Yungblud’s snarling delivery with Tyler’s iconic wail.

To celebrate the release, a two-day Aerosmith x YUNGBLUD pop-up will take place at Complex LA (433 N Fairfax Ave, Los Angeles, CA) this Friday, November 21 through Saturday, November 22. Guests can expect an immersive experience featuring exclusive merchandise and collectible music items from both artists. Fans can RSVP HERE.

Aerosmith are one of the most influential and impactful bands in history. To date, the quintet—Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Brad Whitford, Tom Hamilton, and Joey Kramer—have sold over 150 million albums globally, garnered four GRAMMY Awards, earned induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (class of 2001), and played to over 100 million fans across every livable continent. From the streets of Boston, MA in 1970, they forever raised the bar for rock ‘n’ roll with soulful swagger, blues gusto, eloquent songcraft, and epic vision, inspiring generations of fans and artists to follow.

As one of only four American rock bands with more than 90 million RIAA albums sold—and one of just two with 25 RIAA gold and platinum albums—their catalog includes 30 albums reaching the Billboard Top 200 and 28 songs appearing on the Billboard Hot 100. Both the 9x-Platinum Toys In The Attic [1975] and 4x-Platinum Rocks [1976] earned spots on Rolling Stone’s “500 Greatest Albums of All Time,” while their signature single “Dream On” not only streamed more than 5 billion times but also earned a place in the GRAMMY Hall of Fame. Additional career highlights include producing era-defining music videos such as “Amazing,” “Crazy,” “Janie’s Got a Gun,” “Livin’ on the Edge,” and “Love in an Elevator.” Their Top 5 chart-topping hits include “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing,” “Angel,” “Janie’s Got a Gun,” and “Love in an Elevator.” “Dream On” ranks as the third most streamed classic rock song and the 18th most streamed rock song overall, based on Luminate data, spending 23 weeks on the chart and peaking at #6.

Aerosmith also hold the record for the most total RIAA certifications by an American group. They were the first hard rock band to appear at a Super Bowl Halftime Show and the first band to have their own attraction at Disney World with Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith. Continuing to break ground in 2025, Aerosmith released One More Time—a collaborative EP with YUNGBLUD—on November 21 via Capitol Records, marking their first new release in over 12 years. With a steady increase and 25 million monthly Spotify listeners, Aerosmith continues to reach new fans every day.

Erica Manzoli Finds Bold New Power With The Cinematic Confessional “Dear Other Woman”

0

London singer-songwriter Erica Manzoli returns with Dear Other Woman, a cinematic, slow-burning western-pop confessional that examines love, intimacy, and imagination through an unflinchingly honest lens. The single arrives at the close of a busy year of creative output and touring, including shows with Remy Bond, Zinadelphia, Gabriela Bee and Kings Elliott.

Framed as a letter to “the other woman,” Dear Other Woman imagines how Manzoli might feel if someone else crossed a boundary with the person she loves. It’s a thought experiment that explores the tension between emotional connection and physical intimacy. Manzoli’s reflective storytelling and hazy, cinematic production continue to define her growing catalogue, balancing raw honesty with melodic restraint.

“’Dear Other Woman’ came from a place of questioning,” says Manzoli. “It’s a fictional letter that imagines a situation I’ve thought about how I might actually feel if someone else crossed a boundary with the person I love. It’s not about wanting that but about exploring how emotional and physical intimacy can sometimes pull in different directions. As someone who sits somewhere on the asexual spectrum, I wanted to be honest about the confusion that can come with that and start a conversation about something that isn’t often spoken about.”

Her recent singles Suzy Loves Sam (complete with a self-directed, Wes Anderson–inspired video) and Princess Prudence (co-written with Benjamin Francis Leftwich and Hugo Silvani of Pale Waves) have continued to build her reputation as one of London’s most intriguing new voices. With support from BBC Radio 1 and Spotify, Manzoli is carving out a space for nuanced, emotionally intelligent pop that feels both timeless and deeply current.

Continuing to turn personal observation into pointed social commentary, Manzoli uses the pen as her sharpest tool. Earlier this year, her single Burn The Internet offered a gentle critique of our dependence on digital validation, following her 2022 post-lockdown breakout My Best Friend Is My Therapist. With Dear Other Woman, she adds another chapter to her exploration of modern love: honest, conflicted, and beautifully human.

Robert Plant Steps Into A New Chapter With Saving Grace And A Soul Stirring Tiny Desk Performance

Robert Plant continues his remarkable creative journey with Saving Grace, a band anchored in harmony, acoustic warmth and a deep love for traditional music. The group features Suzi Dian on vocals, Oli Jefferson on drums, Tony Kelsey on guitar, Matt Worley on banjo and strings and Barney Morse Brown on cello. Together they have crafted a sound that feels earthy, inviting and rooted in shared spirit.

Their album arrived in late September and brings a thoughtful collection of traditional pieces and contemporary covers. Songs by Martha Scanlan, Low and Moby Grape sit comfortably beside older folk standards, giving the record a sense of history carried gently into the present. Saving Grace lean into subtle arrangements that wrap each track in calm strength.

Recently, the band visited NPR Tiny Desk for an intimate performance that highlighted the full character of their music. The set included four selections from their album along with a new version of “Gallows Pole”, the traditional tune that Plant and Jimmy Page once rearranged for Led Zeppelin III. The room seemed to glow with the soft power of the harmonies and the easy connection between the musicians.

Plant sang with a presence that felt both relaxed and purposeful. Suzi Dian’s voice blended with his in a way that added warmth to each line. The acoustic textures from Kelsey, Worley and Morse Brown brought depth and color to every moment. The performance seemed to reflect the heart of Saving Grace and the shared energy that makes their collaboration shine.

Saving Grace continue to tour with a sense of curiosity and momentum, sharing these songs with audiences across each stop. Their work carries a quiet richness that invites listeners to lean in and experience the stories inside the music.

David Bowie Celebrates A Golden Milestone With The 50th Anniversary Reissue Of ‘Station to Station’

0

David Bowie’s iconic album ‘Station to Station’ turns fifty on January 23 and the celebration arrives in a way that feels worthy of its legacy. Rhino honors the moment with a limited edition half speed mastered LP and a picture disc pressed from the same master. Each version includes a reproduction of a vintage promotional poster, giving fans a tribute rooted in the spirit of its original release.

‘Station to Station’ carried Bowie into a new world of sound when he recorded it at Cherokee Studio in Los Angeles. The album blended his Plastic Soul chapter with the experimental style that would shape the music ahead. “Golden Years” delivered a hit on both sides of the Atlantic, and “TVC 15” later opened his Live Aid set for an audience of nearly two billion people. The album also reflected Bowie’s growing fascination with the rhythmic pulse of German innovators like Neu! and Kraftwerk, especially in the expansive title track.

The sessions came together with a focused and compelling band. Harry Maslin co produced alongside Bowie, guiding a lineup that included Carlos Alomar and Earl Slick on guitars, George Murray on bass, Dennis Davis on drums and Roy Bittan on piano and organ. Geoffe MacCormack, under the name Warren Peace, added backing vocals. Maslin has shared that Bowie delivered the vocals for “Wild Is The Wind” and “Golden Years” on their first takes, capturing the immediacy that defines the record.

Only ten days after the album’s release, Bowie launched the Isolar Tour, a run that visited more than sixty five shows across eleven countries. The tour became known for its striking use of bright white lights against dark backdrops and remains one of his most influential stage productions. As soon as it wrapped, Bowie headed to Berlin with Iggy Pop and Tony Visconti to begin the next chapter of his creative evolution.

This new anniversary pressing was cut on a customised Neumann VMS80 lathe from 192kHz restored masters of the original Record Plant tapes. John Webber handled the half speed cut at AIR Studios, preserving the album’s depth and energy for listeners who want to experience it with fresh clarity.

As I Lay Dying surge forward again with a renewed spark and a gripping new single titled “If I Fall”. The track follows the October release of “Echoes” and captures the band in a bold, energized state. “If I Fall” fires on all cylinders from the first note, moving with speed and melody that hit with total conviction.

This new lineup has quickly formed a tight and dynamic chemistry. Chris Clancy adds sweeping clean vocals and commanding bass work. Bill Hudson and Don Vedda bring guitar lines that dart and blaze with precision. Tim Yeung anchors the foundation with powerful drumming that lifts the song’s intensity to a towering level. Every element feels fully alive, creating a sound that pushes forward with excitement.

His lyrics carry reflection and purpose, delivered with the steady confidence that has long defined his presence at the front of the band.

“If I Fall” arrives alongside a dark and gripping performance video that matches the mood and momentum of the song. The visual captures the raw edge of this moment for the band and adds another layer to the single’s impact. It is clear that this is only the beginning of a powerful run of music.

Indie Punk Heroes Spanish Love Songs Return With The Expansive New EP ‘A Brief Intermission in the Flattening of Time’

0

Today, Spanish Love Songs release their newest EP, A Brief Intermission in the Flattening of Time, out now via Pure Noise Records. The EP consists of three previously-released singles, as well as new track “Lifers Too” ft. The Wonder years.

With A Brief Intermission in the Flattening of Time, Spanish Love Songs return not just to the studio, but to themselves. The EP follows 2025’s No Joy Sessions and marks their first release since 2023’s No Joy, bridging old and new eras with quiet intensity. What began as a handful of spontaneous moments with producer Arun Bali evolved into a collection of songs that feel both intimate and searching – a reflection on time, connection, and the fragile art of trying to hold it all together.

“The title of this collection is literal for me. I use songs and studio time as a way to slow down and try to process what and how I’m feeling —each song is an imperfect snapshot of a moment,” shares frontman Dylan Slocum. “ We also knew that we wanted to release an EP this year while writing the new record, and that we wanted it to be its own thing, its own cul-de-sac of whatever career we’re building, half-informed by what came before and half-informed by what we think is coming next.”

The EP is also full of impressive collaborations, including the previously released “Cocaine and Lexapro” ft. Kevin Devine to “Berlin” ft. Tiger’s Jaw and “Heavenhead” ft. Illuminati Hotties. The newest track, “Lifers Too” ft. The Wonder Years, is a captivating offering about not expecting to live for as long as you have and grappling with that realisation.

“Soupy was the first choice to feature on this song and the first idea for the EP in general,” explains Slocum. “Very few people have championed us much as he has over the past 5 years, and I’m forever grateful that he’s become a friend, and more importantly, someone whose work pushes me to try to be better.”

“I love this song and I love this band. I don’t think I’ve ever said yes to a feature so quickly,” explains The Wonder Years’ Dan “Soupy” Campbell. “The way that Dylan and Spanish Love Songs capture the decay at the heart of the American facade is singular and haunting and I’m honoured to lend my voice to it.”

A Brief Intermission in the Flattening of Time Tracklisting:
Lifers Too (ft. The Wonder Years)
Cocaine & Lexapro (ft. Kevin Devine)
Heavenhead (ft. Illuminati Hotties)
Berlin (ft. Tigers Jaw)

The EP’s CD and vinyl formats feature 9 additional songs, including the entirety of No Joy Sessions. A full tracklist can be found below.

The band recently concluded their impressive year of live shows with a European headline tour featuring support from The Dirty Nil, Sincere Engineer, and Kali Masi, as well as a run on the Common Thread tour across the United Kingdom and Europe.

Since 2013, the LA-formed indie-punk quintet SPANISH LOVE SONGS have made hay on the backs of a string of beloved albums – 2015’s Giant Sings The Blues, 2018’s Schmaltz, 2020’s Brave Faces Everyone and 2023’s No Joy – lauded by critics and fans alike for their richly personal, no-holds-barred lyricism awash in existential dread, hyper-personal cultural ruminations and attempts to answer life’s big questions.

Indie Folk Singer-Songwriter Liza Lo Shines Bright With The Tender New Single “He is, I am”

0

London-based producer and singer-songwriter Liza Lo has shared an pensive new single titled “He is, I am”. The single comes on the heels of her critically acclaimed debut album “Familiar”, which was released via London/Tokyo label Gearbox Records (home to Abdullah Ibrahim, Binker & Moses, Knats, Elliot Galvin, Graham Costello and more) earlier this year.

“He is, I am” is a stripped-back folk song that explores the quiet doubts in a fading relationship, carrying the moments where honesty is withheld to preserve closeness. Recorded direct to tape in North London, the track reconnects Liza with her folk roots, drawing inspiration from Nick Drake and Joni Mitchell while carving her own intimate sound. Arriving ahead of her UK headline tour this autumn, the single mirrors the season’s reflective insularity, making it a fitting soundtrack for long evenings and shifting light.

In addition to the forthcoming UK tour, Liza will also make her much anticipated Stateside debut next March, including a performance for NPR’s Mountain Stage with Kathy Mattea in South Carolina.

Liza’s debut album “Familiar” touches on everything from the loss of a friend, to moving away from her home in Europe, to the many subtle intricacies that come with modern day relationships. Recorded at Damon Albarn’s Studio 13, with her band and Jon Kelly (Kate Bush / Paul McCartney), it’s full of uncanny and intimate guitars, retro pop-inflected synth and bass, and crystalline piano that intensify and build into widescreen, driving poignant songs about vulnerability and emotional fulfilment. It’s a real exercise in both fragility and self-found strength. The album has seen Liza earn praise from the likes of DIY, Notion, and BBC Introducing, and earlier releases such as “Empty Room” have racked up over 1M streams.
