- The Working Title Was Almost Completely Different Before the band settled on Rumours as the album’s title, it was originally going to be called Yesterday’s Gone. This title came from the chorus of “Don’t Stop,” Christine McVie’s optimistic anthem about moving forward. However, John McVie suggested Rumours because the songs felt like the band members were telling tales about each other through their music, a fitting title given the personal turmoil that inspired many of the tracks.
- “The Chain” Was Born Out of Several Songs “The Chain,” the only song credited to all five members of Fleetwood Mac, wasn’t written in one cohesive sitting. It was pieced together from different song fragments. Christine McVie’s “Keep Me There” and Stevie Nicks’ demos were edited and combined, creating the haunting final track. The signature bass line, played by John McVie, wasn’t added until the final stages of production, giving the song its famous build-up.
- A Chair Was Used for Percussion While experimenting with different sounds for “Second Hand News,” Lindsey Buckingham used an unusual instrument—his chair. Brett Eldredge Announces ‘Glow: Welcome to the Family’ Tour Dates
Today, Brett Eldredge announces his 12-date “GLOW: Welcome to the Family” tour in cities including Boston, Philadelphia, New York, Chicago, Nashville and more (full dates below). Expanding on the inspiration for the album Eldredge draws on memories that feel lived in, like a favorite holiday sweater. “When you listen, I hope it reminds you to lean into your traditions and maybe reach to someone you haven’t talked to in a while. SiriusXM NHL Network Radio Returns With Extensive Live Coverage of the 2024-25 NHL Season
SiriusXM Canada, the country’s leading audio entertainment company and the Official Satellite Radio Partner of the NHL, today announced extensive coverage plans for the 2024-25 NHL season, through to the 2025 Stanley Cup Final. The puck drops in North America on Tuesday, October 8 with a triple header of action featuring the St. Louis Blues vs. the Seattle Kraken at 4:30pm ET, followed by the Florida Panthers raising their Stanley Cup banner against the Boston Bruins at 7pm ET, and finally the Utah Hockey Club begins a new era vs. the Chicago Blackhawks 10pm ET.

Watch Billy Joel On The Midnight Special In 1975 Just Before He Got REALLY Popular
In October 1975, Billy Joel found himself in a transitional phase. He had made his mark with his 1973 album Piano Man and its now-classic title track, but the momentum he and Columbia Records hoped to maintain with Streetlife Serenade didn’t quite take off. Released in November 1974, Streetlife Serenade included the notable track “The Entertainer,” yet it peaked at just #35 on the Billboard albums chart, while its single stalled at #34 on the Hot 100.
At 26 years old, Joel was in a period of recalibration. He was still months away from releasing his 1976 album Turnstiles—which, while respected, flew somewhat under the radar—and a full two years from his major breakthrough with The Stranger.
On October 10, 1975, Joel took the stage at The Midnight Special in Burbank, California, to remind audiences of his talent. Rather than previewing new material, he turned to Piano Man and performed “Travelin’ Prayer” and “The Ballad of Billy the Kid,” singles that had helped shape his early identity as a singer-songwriter. It was a moment that highlighted his musical chops, as he continued to navigate the ups and downs of his burgeoning career.
