PABST Launch New Single “Big Big Heart” With snake eyes Ahead of ‘This is normal now’

0

German trio PABST return with their new track “Big Big Heart,” a collaboration with Brighton grit pop duo snake eyes and the final single from their forthcoming album This is normal now, out November 28, 2025 via Alcopop! Records and Ketchup Tracks. The song follows their earlier team up on snake eyes’ “Hug Me” and delivers sharp commentary on male hubris and manipulative behavior. Blending fuzz, rave rock flashes and dance punk energy, the track adds another layer to PABST’s multi dimensional sound. “Is rock‘n‘roll dead? Not as long as Pabst and Snake Eyes carry on!” the band says. You can pre-save it here.

snake eyes vocalist Jim Heffy adds: “we love pabst and we love this tune. earlier this year we entertained the idea of doing a ‘response’ to ‘hug me’ where we jump on a pabst track. to finish our vocals in time for the deadline i had to set up a mini studio in a hotel room somewhere in america—baltimore i think? it probably annoyed the shit out of the other guests but totally worth it. the rock can’t be stopped.” The collaboration arrives as PABST continue to evolve their hyper rock identity with a decade of shows, festival appearances and international touring.

Their new album This is normal now, recorded, mixed and mastered by Magnus Wichmann at lala Studios, Leipzig, presents PABST at full sharpness. With praise from BBC R1, sold out shows and major festival slots from Rock am Ring to Sziget, the trio prepare to bring their sound to global audiences. The band launches their “Sorry For Hyper Rocking” headline tour in December, with more international dates to follow.

FKA twigs Unveils New Single “Predictable Girl” Ahead of Her ‘EUSEXUA Afterglow’ Album Release

0

FKA twigs releases “Predictable Girl,” the second single from her upcoming album ‘EUSEXUA Afterglow,’ arriving this Friday. The single lands days after EUSEXUA earned a GRAMMY nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Album and follows the album’s Mercury Prize shortlist. Accompanied by a music video directed by Jordan Hemingway, the new track expands the world she introduced on her earlier album EUSEXUA. Afterglow grew from a planned deluxe edition into a complete body of work that reflects the hours after a rave, carrying the pulse of movement and the lingering high long after leaving the dancefloor.

The album builds on the foundation twigs has shaped across her catalog. Afterglow draws on techno’s heartbeat but twists it into fractured, playful shapes while weaving in the hooks of CAPRISONGS, the rawness of MAGDALENE, the sensuality of LP1 and the fluid experimentation of her earliest EPs. The era began in Seoul with an intimate listening party and a sold out rave where she first played “Cheap Hotel” and “Predictable Girl.” She later teased the track in New York at PC Music’s Halloween event with PinkPantheress. EUSEXUA continues to explore her own term for the moment before an emotional or physical release, with production from Koreless, Dylan Brady, Eartheater, Ethan P Flynn, G Dragon, Jeff Bhasker and Nicolas Jaar.

‘EUSEXUA Afterglow’ tracklist:

1. Love Crimes
2. Slushy
3. Wild And Alone [Feat. PinkPantheress]
4. Hard
5. Cheap Hotel
6. Touch A Girl
7. Predictable Girl
8. Sushi
9. Piece Of Mine
10. Lost All My Friends
11. Stereo Boy

Aquakultre Releases New Single and Video “Gallows” Highlighting the Wrongful Conviction of Daniel P. Sampson

0

Aquakultre releases the new single and video for “Gallows,” a reflective prison song rooted in the story of his great great grandfather Daniel P. Sampson, the last person to be executed in Halifax. The song brings attention to his wrongful conviction in 1935 and the systemic anti Black racism that shaped his case. “My great great grandfather, Daniel Perry Sampson, was wrongfully convicted of murder and executed in 1935. His story was told to me by my grandmother, Carolyn Sampson, who always recognized that there was something fishy, something not right about what happened to her grandfather. I got on that research 90 years later, and she was right; his case was a miscarriage of justice. The song is written from his perspective, in his final moments before being hanged at the Halifax courthouse,” Aquakultre says.

The “Gallows” music video, directed by Sobaz Benjamin, presents scenes tied to spirituality, tyranny, protest and redemption. Benjamin, known for the documentary Race Is a Four Letter Word, explains, “‘Gallows’ is not simply about death, punishment, or execution; it is a metaphor for the centuries long weight placed upon Black bodies, Black families, Black memory, and Black imagination. It is about the architecture of oppression, yes, but far more profoundly, it is about what we have done with that. It is about the miracle of transformation.”

On March 7, the 90th anniversary of Daniel Sampson’s execution, the Sampson family filed an application to have the case reviewed by the Minister of Justice. They have authorized their lawyer to set up a Fundrazr to support the legal costs of the appeal, including court fees, disbursements and travel expenses.

Johnny Cash’s Debut Album Returns In All-Analog Glory With New ‘Sun Records Hi-Fi Series’ Pressing

0

Intervention Records will continue its Sun Records Hi-Fi Series—featuring classic titles from the Memphis label, mastered to vinyl from original master tapes in the Sun vaults—with a brilliant new pressing of Johnny Cash with His Hot and Blue Guitar!, the first long-playing record from one of country music’s most enduring icons. The album, featuring “I Walk The Line,” “Cry, Cry, Cry,” and “Folsom Prison Blues,” has been given the ultimate treatment for this 180-gram, 45 RPM mono release, featuring audio from original master tapes mastered to vinyl in an all-analog process, plus restored artwork featuring new liner notes.

Pre-orders for Johnny Cash with His Hot and Blue Guitar! are open now, with a release date of February 20, 2026. The album can be pre-ordered here.

“I never imagined that I’d hear the iconic voice of Johnny Cash on Intervention Records!” said Shane Buettner, Intervention Records’ founder. “And I don’t think music fans around the world have ever heard Johnny’s voice, or Sam Phillips’ famous Sun Studio sound, as clearly and definitively as they will on this new 45 RPM mono cut. This is as close you can get to a time machine back to Memphis in the 1950s!”

Originally issued in the fall of 1957—the first long-player for Sam Phillips’ Sun Records—Johnny Cash with His Hot and Blue Guitar! showcases the stripped-down sound that would make the future Man in Black one of the most enduring and respected musicians of the 20th century. Backed only by his “Tennessee Two” (Luther Perkins on lead guitar and Marshall Grant on upright bass) and augmented by Phillips’ signature studio slapback that gave Cash’s “boom-chicka-boom” sound its kick, Hot and Blue Guitar! is the album that introduced many to Cash’s sonorous baritone.

The LP features Cash’s first three single A-sides for Sun, all self-penned: “Cry, Cry, Cry,” (a No. 14 country chart hit), “So Doggone Lonesome” (which peaked at No. 4 on the country charts) and Cash’s signature original “I Walk The Line.” The latter was a No. 1 country smash for six non-consecutive weeks in the summer of 1956 before crossing over into the Top 20 of Billboard’s pop charts. Additional standouts include Cash’s renditions of fare like “The Wreck Of The Old 97” and “Rock Island Line,” as well as a fourth original song, “Folsom Prison Blues”—which would top the country charts more than a decade later when Cash performed it as part of his landmark 1968 live album At Folsom Prison.

Johnny Cash with His Hot and Blue Guitar! is the second title in Intervention’s Sun Records Hi-Fi Series, offering exquisite pressings of definitive country and rock material from the label’s storied discography. It follows the debut release in the series (and Sun’s second LP), Dance Album of Carl Perkins. The 1957 album served as a defining introduction to Perkins’ pioneering rockabilly songbook, including the standards “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Matchbox,” and “Honey Don’t.” (“Blue Suede Shoes,” later covered by Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Eddie Cochran and countless others, celebrates the 70th anniversary of its release in 2026.)

This Sun Record Hi-Fi Series pressing of Dance Album of Carl Perkins will be available in December and can be pre-ordered HERE

Intervention has handled the audio presentation and packaging of these vital albums with great care and attention to detail. Johnny Cash with His Hot and Blue Guitar! was sourced from flat transfers of ¼” monaural master reels sourced from the Sun Records archive, which compiled the label’s original 7” single masters. This exhaustive research process resulted in the best-sounding tape version of each of the 12 songs on the original album, as well as the first vinyl edition of the album in decades to be sourced from these tapes. Acclaimed mastering engineer Kevin Gray at CoHEARent Audio has overseen this pressing of Hot and Blue Guitar!; lacquers were plated using RTI’s three-step process and pressed on ultra-quiet 180-gram vinyl by boutique pressing plant Gotta Groove Records, offering crystal-clear audio fidelity that sacrifices none of the spark of the original recordings.

The beautifully restored “old-style” jacket, manufactured by Stoughton Printing Co., features a new essay by noted Sun Records historian and two-time Grammy Award winner Colin Escott. His liner notes offer rich context on Johnny Cash with His Hot and Blue Guitar!, from recording to packaging, and how the album planted the seeds for Cash’s singular career, spanning more than half a century. “[Hot and Blue Guitar] was…a summary of Johnny Cash’s roots and his story so far,” he writes. “The breadth of his song choices gave some idea of what awaited us in the years and decades ahead.”

Caroline Jones Announces New Album ‘Good Omen’ And 2026 Headline Tour

Rising country singer songwriter and multi instrumentalist Caroline Jones announces her new album ‘Good Omen,’ arriving February 13 as her first release with Nashville Harbor Records & Entertainment. The project presents some of her most open and lyrically honest writing, shaped by new perspectives as both an artist and a new mom. “I am thrilled to announce my next album, Good Omen. This project has my most raw and empathetic storylines yet, set to a backdrop of rich, dark, bluegrass infused tracks. This being my first album as a Mother, I’ve channeled the intense empathy that Motherhood affords you, which, it turns out, is a superpower as a songwriter and artist. I collaborated with some amazing new songwriters and musicians on this project, including co producer Julian Raymond, and cannot wait for folks to hear the stories and the sound that we crafted,” Jones shares.

‘Good Omen’ features collaborations with Nashville writers including Eric Paslay, Sarah Buxton, Emily Weisband and Liz Rose across a twelve song collection. The album explores the full range of life experiences from grounded and realistic viewpoints, reflected in previous releases such as the chart climbing single “No Tellin’,” the anthem “All The Things,” and “Divorce In A Small Town.” The title track arrives November 14 and introduces the renewed tone and energy of the record. Jones supports the release with her nearly twenty date 2026 ‘Good Omen Tour,’ launching February 17 in Nashville.

As December Falls Announce 2026 UK Headline Run With Their ‘Everything’s On Fire But I’m Fine’ Momentum

0

As December Falls reveal a new UK headline tour for February and March 2026 following last month’s ‘Everything’s On Fire, But We’re On Tour’ album release run. The band celebrate a major milestone as their new album Everything’s On Fire But I’m Fine entered the UK’s Official Albums Chart at #8. The fourteen track release captures the intensity of pursuing a dream while handling day jobs and a full touring schedule, with songs shaped by exhaustion, gratitude and creative drive.

“We just came off the wildest tour of our careers, selling out some of our biggest venues to date, like London’s Electric Ballroom and Nottingham’s Rock City. We grew up as a DIY punk band and nothing beats being one foot away from the crowd, in a smaller room. Independent venues are closing around the country and we never want to forget our roots, so this tour is as much about supporting small venues, as it is remembering where we came from! We can’t wait to party with you!” the band shared. Their writing continues with the same openness found in tracks like Grim Reaper, Angry Cry, Ready Set Go, Bathroom Floor and For The Plot, reflecting the feelings and experiences that have fueled the group from the start.

As December Falls prepare for another run of intimate shows that highlight their connection to independent venues and the audiences that built their foundation. The tour spans England, Ireland and Northern Ireland, with performances across major small-room stages that reflect the band’s commitment to the spaces that shaped their identity.
