The Man From Delmonte Return with New Single ‘Every Time’ and Upcoming Album ‘Better Things’

0

Beloved Manchester indie band The Man From Delmonte are officially back with their first new album in 35 years and a brand-new single, ‘Every Time.’ The track captures the group’s unmistakable charm — Mike West’s songwriting, Martin Vincent’s shimmering guitars, and Sheila Seal’s rich harmonies — while offering a matured, heartfelt sound rooted in nostalgia. The single’s B-side features a live recording of their 1980s debut ‘Drive, Drive, Drive,’ recorded at a sold-out Manchester Academy show this spring.

Following two sold-out reunion gigs and the success of their reissued albums ‘Big Noise’ and ‘Good Things in Life,’ The Man From Delmonte will release a limited-edition 7” of ‘Every Time’ and ‘Drive, Drive, Drive (Live)’ on colored vinyl, with proceeds benefiting Stretford Food Bank. Fans can grab a copy at the band’s Fountain Records signing on Nov. 15 or see them live at Manchester’s O2 Ritz on Dec. 21 for the launch of their long-awaited new album ‘Better Things.’

Organoclorados Unveil Haunting Visual for ‘Take Me Down’

0

Brazilian post-punk band Organoclorados have released the music video for “Take Me Down,” a dark, cinematic piece that deepens the band’s growing international presence. The independently produced video captures the song’s tension between surrender and resistance, with shadow-drenched visuals and introspective performances that mirror its emotional core.

“Take Me Down” fuses post-punk urgency and classic rock richness through haunting guitars, pulsing bass, and plaintive vocals. The video alternates between band shots and symbolic imagery of falling and rebirth, creating a dialogue between fragility and defiance. Sung in English and produced with minimalist precision, the track continues Organoclorados’ evolution as one of Brazil’s most compelling independent exports.

Oak View Group has announced a major partnership with Lyft, naming the rideshare company as the official rideshare partner for more than 75 OVG-managed venues across the United States. The collaboration spans OVG’s Arena Alliance and Theater Alliance members, as well as 35 arenas, stadiums, convention centers, and performing arts facilities in its broader portfolio. Lyft will provide improved rideshare zones featuring clear pickup and drop-off points, live traffic updates, and enhanced wayfinding to streamline guest arrivals and departures.

Through the partnership, OVG and Lyft will deliver fans with a seamless, reliable, and efficient transportation experience, while partnering on initiatives that drive community engagement and sustainability. Lyft will receive prominent branding across existing rideshare zones at all participating venues, ensuring clear pick-up and drop-off locations with accurate pin names, coordinates, and real-time updates on road closures before and after events.

“At OVG, we not only create and manage iconic venues, but we relentlessly focus on providing all fans extraordinary experiences,” said Dan Griffis, President, Global Partnerships, Oak View Group. “Joining forces with Lyft delivers that commitment — removing friction points for fans and helping them arrive safely, efficiently, and with ease. Lyft is an incredible brand that not only elevates our commitment to our guests but also supports a dynamic approach to innovation and our unrelenting drive to create stronger communities.”

Additionally, OVG and Lyft will collaborate on local community programs, co-branded social and digital media content, and in-venue signage across all partner locations. SXSW 2026 Announces First 100 Showcasing Artists for Its 40th Music Festival

0

South by Southwest has just announced the first 100 Showcasing Artists and the first 50 Showcase Presenters for its historic 40th Music Festival. These multi-hyphenate, genre-busting musicians represent the full breadth of global talent confirmed to perform at SXSW 2026 (March 12–18). Platinum-selling rock band The All-American Rejects will kick off the festivities performing at the SXSW Music Opening Party presented by Rivian.

Notable additions from the first 100 Showcasing Artists for the SXSW Music Festival include the enigmatic UK musician Milo Korbenski, whose lo-fi art-pop blends optimism and emotion through catchy hooks, clever lyrics, and hazy distortion. Balancing torn-cone grit with sweet synths and layered vocals, his sound nods to Kurt Vile, The xx, Black Sabbath and Siouxsie Sioux while remaining distinctly his own.

KOAD, the 22-year-old rapper, producer, and songwriter from the San Fernando Valley, blends classic West Coast hip-hop with nostalgic Bollywood influences. Experimental electropop artist and producer DJ_Dave will also perform, introducing audiences to the art of making music using live coding. Brooklyn-based songwriter Hudson Freeman’s star is officially on the rise in the alternative folk scene. The recent success of his stripped-down single “If You Know Me” stands as the Texas-born artist’s breakout moment.

L.A. based Indie Rock group The Sophs have also joined the SXSW® 2026 lineup. The six-piece collective is proving that bands still matter in an age of solo artists. Minneapolis-based singer-songwriter runo plum will roll into Austin, Texas to deliver a dose of cathartic indie rock.

Additional highlights from the first 100 Showcasing Artists for the SXSW Music Festival include FineLa TexanaChalk, and Grrrl Gang.

XG Announce Debut Album ‘The Core – 核’ Out January 23 and Jurin’s Solo Debut Single ‘PS118’

0

Global hip-hop/R&B-inspired girl group XG have officially unveiled the title of their long-awaited debut album — ‘The Core – 核’ — set for release on January 23 via XGALX. The announcement follows a wave of fan speculation that began when the group posted a single image featuring the kanji “核” (meaning “core” or “nucleus”), later confirmed to represent both their upcoming world tour and their artistic vision. The album is described as a declaration of XG’s deepest essence, exploring their creative DNA through a sound that transcends genres, eras, and borders while staying true to their identity as pioneers of X-pop.

‘The Core – 核’ marks a defining chapter for XG, whose music has long embodied empowerment, experimentation, and unity. The album aims to strip away surface-level trends and return to the foundation of what makes their artistry distinct — authenticity and innovation. Fans can expect a record that’s as introspective as it is bold, celebrating growth, collaboration, and sonic evolution. Alongside the announcement, group leader Jurin will make her solo debut as Jurin Asaya with the single ‘PS118’ featuring acclaimed North Carolina rapper Rapsody, out November 18 via XGALX. Built on an old-school hip-hop foundation, the track bridges cultures and generations, embodying the spirit of collaboration that continues to define XG’s expanding universe.

Lydia May Ignites with Fierce New Single ‘DROP DEAD GORGEOUS’

0

Melbourne-born alt-pop powerhouse Lydia May unleashes her fiery new single ‘DROP DEAD GORGEOUS,’ a bold, theatrical anthem that blends 80s rock energy with fearless self-expression. After electrifying crowds while supporting Eileen Alister’s UK tour and hosting an exclusive fan listening party in London, May’s latest release stands as a cathartic declaration of confidence and self-acceptance. Produced by Joey Walker (Liang Lawrence) at RYP Recordings, ‘DROP DEAD GORGEOUS’ channels May’s trademark mix of drama, defiance, and heart, cementing her as one of the most exciting new voices in alt-pop.

“I’ve felt the pressure to contort my body and mind to feel gorgeous for years,” says May. “I don’t want to feel small or weak anymore, like I was close to dropping dead. Writing this song was so fulfilling and made me feel HOT. This feels like the first song that aligns with the artist I’ve always wanted to become — bold and unapologetically myself.” With its irresistible attitude, shredding guitars, and unflinching honesty, ‘DROP DEAD GORGEOUS’ opens the door to May’s highly anticipated debut EP, setting the stage for an artist who turns vulnerability into power and pain into pure electricity.
