Spencer Hatcher Brings Back True Country Spirit with Debut EP ‘Honky Tonk Hideaway’

0

QHMG and Stone Country Records artist Spencer Hatcher steps into the spotlight with the release of his debut EP, ‘Honky Tonk Hideaway,’ a six-track collection that cements him as one of country music’s rising traditionalists. Praised by Billboard for his sound that “fits the ’90s-country revival that’s still turning heads,” the record serves as both a tribute to his heroes and a showcase of his own timeless storytelling. The EP captures the heart of honky-tonk life with rich pedal steel, soulful fiddle, and melodies made for both reflection and the dance floor.

The project kicks off with the fiery title track “Honky Tonk Hideaway,” written by Jeffrey Steele and Brice Long, an irresistible anthem about leaving your worries behind. Hatcher’s debut single “When She Calls Me Cowboy” continues to climb with its sultry groove and chart success, debuting as a Top 10 Most Added Song at U.S. Country Radio and staying strong on Taste of Country’s “Top 10 Video Countdown.” The EP rounds out with songs like “The Way She Lies,” praised by Saving Country Music as one of 2025’s best singles, and “Cold Beer and Common Sense,” a feel-good call for unity that blends classic country warmth with fresh perspective.

Produced by Jason Sellers, Ilya Toshinskiy, and Mickey Jack Cones, ‘Honky Tonk Hideaway’ delivers the perfect balance of nostalgia and new energy. Following a year of touring alongside Diamond Rio and Josh Turner, Hatcher keeps the momentum going with upcoming shows supporting Aaron Tippin in Winchester, plus headline dates in Savannah and Augusta. Patchwork Rattlebag Bring Dreamy Folk Energy to Life with ‘Vertigo Dreams’

0

Salford’s experimental collective Patchwork Rattlebag unveil their newest single ‘Vertigo Dreams’, a sonic journey through swirling folk textures and hypnotic soundscapes. Known for blending artforms and moods, the group continues to explore new creative ground with every note, crafting songs that shimmer between the visual and the audible.

‘Vertigo Dreams’ offers listeners a lush escape filled with picked acoustic guitar, vibraphone pulses and beautifully fractured electric phrases. The track’s layered harmonies and introspective lyrics create a tranquil yet vibrant world where each sound feels alive. The song carries listeners through daydreams, cosmic skies and open fields, echoing the collective’s passion for curiosity and collaboration.

Following their glitchy, dystopian single ‘Hook, Line and Riser’, this new release reveals the band’s folk-inspired heart. The electronic undertones drift gently into the background, allowing the vocals and acoustic instrumentation to shine in pure, heartfelt clarity. Each moment of ‘Vertigo Dreams’ feels intentionally alive, capturing the spaces between light and shadow.

The accompanying video mirrors that sensation with its DIY visuals of starry skies, golden fields and spacious derelict buildings. It perfectly complements the track’s ethereal nature, expanding the story of the song into something visual and timeless. ‘Vertigo Dreams’ is more than a single; it is an invitation to wander through Patchwork Rattlebag’s world of sound and imagination.

Their debut album ‘Fragments 1’ arrives on November 21 via YMTC, promising an immersive experience that blends genre, feeling and form. Until then, ‘Vertigo Dreams’ stands as a radiant chapter in the story of one of Salford’s most exciting musical collectives.

Who Will Be Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame’s Next Three-Time Inductee? Here You Go.

In 2000, Eric Clapton made history as the only person inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame three times — once with The Yardbirds, once with Cream, and once solo. Twenty-five years later, that record still stands, untouched and unchallenged. But as fans on r/rockhall pointed out, there’s a short list of musicians who might just be destined to join the Three-Timers Club. So grab your imaginary ballot, plug in your air guitar, and let’s look at who could pull off the rock world’s rarest hat trick.

Dave Grohl
Already twice inducted (with Nirvana and Foo Fighters), Grohl’s resume screams “Hall lifer.” He’s drummed for Queens of the Stone Age, jammed with everyone from Paul McCartney to Lemmy, and could easily snag a third as a producer or under Musical Excellence. If anyone can smile their way to three, it’s Grohl.

Paul McCartney
Beatles? Check. Solo? Check. Wings? Somehow not checked! If the Hall ever gets sentimental about arena-filling 70s pop, Sir Paul could land that third spot. Bonus points if they just rename the Hall “McCartney’s Basement” afterward.

Neil Young
He’s in with Buffalo Springfield and solo — but not Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. If the Hall ever rights that wrong, Neil would strum his way into triple territory. Given his catalog, it’s more than deserved.

Jeff Beck, Rod Stewart & Ronnie Wood
If the Jeff Beck Group ever gets inducted, this trio would all become triple inductees simultaneously. Beck, Stewart, and Wood each defined eras of British rock. Three legends, one Hall mic drop.

Damon Albarn
He made Britpop cool with Blur, turned cartoons into global stars with Gorillaz, and crafted moody, reflective solo albums. If the Hall ever opens its borders a little wider, Albarn might draw his third induction from the animated side of genius.

Steve Winwood
From the Spencer Davis Group to Traffic to his solo hits, Winwood has one of rock’s most soulful resumes. Blind Faith could tip him to three — which would also make Clapton a four-timer. Chaos, meet Hall of Fame.

George Harrison & Tom Petty
If the Traveling Wilburys ever get their due, George and Tom would both join the triple ranks. Sure, it was a supergroup built on star power, but “Handle with Care” still handles our hearts.

Dr. Dre
He’s already halfway there with N.W.A. and solo work. Add a producer or label-founder induction for Aftermath or Death Row, and he’s in the conversation as the Hall’s first triple-threat from hip-hop.

Jack White
The White Stripes are already in; The Raconteurs and Dead Weather could make him a contender, especially with his prolific solo catalog. Vinyl purists would riot in celebration.

Clyde McPhatter
The original multi-inductee, in with The Drifters and solo. If Billy Ward and the Dominoes ever get recognized, he’d posthumously reclaim his crown as rock’s first true triple-timer.

80 Facts About Neil Young For His 80th Birthday

Eighty years ago today, on November 12, 1945, a kid from Toronto with a ukulele and a dream was born. That kid grew into one of the most influential singer-songwriters in rock history. From Buffalo Springfield to Crazy Horse to Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Neil Young has never stopped chasing new sounds, new causes, and new truths. He’s been a folk hero, a grunge godfather, an activist, a filmmaker, and a storyteller who always plays by his own rules. To celebrate his 80th, here are 80 fascinating facts about Neil Young — the man who taught us all that it’s better to burn out than to fade away.

Neil Percival Young was born on November 12, 1945, in Toronto, Canada.

His father, Scott Young, was a famous Canadian sportswriter and novelist.

His mother, Edna “Rassy” Young, had American and French ancestry.

Neil contracted polio at age six during Ontario’s last major outbreak in 1951.

While recovering, his family moved to Florida for the warm weather.

He attended Faulkner Elementary School in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.

His parents divorced when he was 12, and Neil moved to Winnipeg with his mother.

His first band was The Jades, formed while attending Earl Grey Junior High in Winnipeg.

He later formed The Squires, who scored a local hit with their song “The Sultan.”

Neil met Stephen Stills while performing in Winnipeg clubs in the early ’60s.

He befriended Joni Mitchell around the same time, performing in the same folk circuit.

“Sugar Mountain,” one of his earliest songs, was written about lost youth.

Joni Mitchell wrote “The Circle Game” in response to “Sugar Mountain.”

Buffalo Springfield was born after Neil drove to Los Angeles in a hearse with bassist Bruce Palmer.

He bought that hearse after pawning The Mynah Birds’ gear — a band that once featured Rick James.

Buffalo Springfield’s “For What It’s Worth” featured Neil’s signature harmonic guitar sound.

Neil skipped being filmed during CSNY’s Woodstock performance, threatening to hit cameramen with his guitar.

His first solo album, Neil Young (1969), received mixed reviews but set the stage for greatness.

His follow-up, Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere, introduced Crazy Horse.

“Cinnamon Girl,” “Down by the River,” and “Cowgirl in the Sand” were all written in one day while he had a fever.

With Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, he co-wrote and sang on “Ohio” after the Kent State shootings.

After the Gold Rush (1970) became his breakout solo success.

“Southern Man” and “Alabama” inspired Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Sweet Home Alabama.”

Neil called Harvest (1972) the album that “put me in the middle of the road.”

“Heart of Gold” is Neil’s only #1 single on the Billboard Hot 100.

“Old Man” was inspired by the caretaker of his California ranch.

That ranch, Broken Arrow, became his longtime home.

He named the ranch after his song “Broken Arrow” from Buffalo Springfield Again.

Danny Whitten of Crazy Horse died shortly after being dismissed from a Young tour rehearsal.

Neil said Whitten’s death haunted him and shaped Tonight’s the Night.

Time Fades Away, On the Beach, and Tonight’s the Night are known as his “Ditch Trilogy.”

He described that era as “a rougher ride, but more interesting people.”

Neil reunited with Crosby, Stills, and Nash for their 1974 stadium tour.

“Cortez the Killer” from Zuma (1975) became one of his most beloved songs.

He once quit a tour with Stephen Stills via telegram saying, “Eat a peach, Neil.”

At The Last Waltz, Scorsese had to edit out cocaine from Neil’s nose.

Like a Hurricane remains a live staple of his electric shows.

His 1977 compilation Decade is considered one of rock’s best retrospectives.

He briefly joined a local California band called The Ducks in 1977.

Comes a Time (1978) marked his return to folk and country roots.

The Rust Never Sleeps tour and album cemented his status as the “Godfather of Grunge.”

“My My, Hey Hey (Out of the Blue)” and “Hey Hey, My My (Into the Black)” became generational anthems.

In 1979, Rust Never Sleeps was voted Album of the Year by Rolling Stone readers.

His film Human Highway co-starred Devo’s Mark Mothersbaugh and Dennis Hopper.

Neil’s 1982 album Trans used vocoders and was inspired by his son’s communication challenges.

Geffen Records once sued Neil for making music “unrepresentative” of himself.

Old Ways (1985) was his country album recorded with The International Harvesters.

He performed at Live Aid in 1985 alongside Crosby, Stills & Nash.

This Note’s for You (1988) mocked corporate sponsorship in music videos.

MTV banned the video, but later gave it Video of the Year.

“Rockin’ in the Free World” (1989) became a modern protest anthem.

Freedom marked his comeback after an experimental decade.

Ragged Glory (1990) reunited him with Crazy Horse and inspired grunge bands.

Nirvana’s Kurt Cobain quoted his lyrics in his suicide note.

Harvest Moon (1992) revisited the sound of Harvest and won a Juno Award.

Neil scored Jonathan Demme’s Philadelphia and earned an Oscar nomination.

He toured with Booker T. & the M.G.’s in 1993.

In 1995, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame by Eddie Vedder.

The same year, he released Mirror Ball with Pearl Jam.

He later collaborated with director Jim Jarmusch on Dead Man.

He co-founded the record label Vapor Records in 1995.

Neil and his then-wife Pegi founded The Bridge School for children with disabilities.

He suffered a brain aneurysm in 2005 but returned to perform at Live 8 months later.

His 2006 album Living with War directly criticized President George W. Bush.

Greendale (2003) was both a concept album and a film he directed.

He’s directed multiple films under the name “Bernard Shakey.”

He co-founded Farm Aid with Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp in 1985.

Neil’s 2012 album Americana reimagined folk standards like “This Land Is Your Land.”

He published two memoirs: Waging Heavy Peace and Special Deluxe.

He launched PonoMusic to promote high-fidelity digital audio.

He sold 50% of his song catalog to Hipgnosis for an estimated $150 million in 2021.

He removed his music from Spotify in 2022 to protest COVID misinformation.

In 2024, he returned his songs after Spotify expanded to other platforms.

He has been married three times, most recently to actress Daryl Hannah.

In 2007, scientists named a newly discovered trapdoor spider Myrmekiaphila neilyoungi in his honor — proof that Neil Young’s influence reaches even the animal kingdom.

Neil became a U.S. citizen in 2020 but moved back to Canada soon after.

He owns over 400 vintage Fender Deluxe amplifiers.

His famous 1953 Gibson Les Paul, “Old Black,” is his main stage guitar.

Rolling Stone ranks him among the 30 greatest guitarists of all time.

At 80, Neil Young is still touring, recording, and fighting for the planet — living proof that rock and roll will never fade away.

Tips to Get the Best Experience with VidMate

To enjoy VidMate to its fullest potential, here are some practical tips:

  • Organize your downloaded files so they don’t take up unnecessary space.

  • Use the built-in search instead of switching between apps — it saves time.
  • Monitor your storage because frequent downloading can fill up internal memory quickly.

VidMate is built to be user-friendly, so even basic steps like selecting formats or managing downloads feel extremely smooth.

Security and Responsible Usage

Whenever you use a media downloading tool, it’s important to stay responsible. VidMate itself is safe when downloaded from its official platform, and the app is designed with user security in mind. However, responsible usage means only downloading content that you have permission to save. Copyright rules still apply, and users must be mindful of them.

VidMate also includes features that help keep your device secure, but it’s always a good habit to maintain your own safety online. Avoid suspicious third-party versions and use only trusted sources.

Conclusion

Why Cotton Is the Most Breathable Fabric for Hot Weather

0

By Mitch Rice

People worldwide trust cotton for its softness, comfort, and natural breathability. Breathable fabrics are crucial for hot weather as they keep the body cool and minimise sweating and irritation. For this purpose, cotton is the best option as its natural fibres allow the air to pass through easily, thus making it suitable for all summer outdoor activities and everyday use.

These days, people choose cotton more than ever as it is safe for all ages. Cotton is used for making shirts, dresses, trousers, scarves, and home linen. The increased popularity of cotton has resulted in a bigger need for breathable cambric cloth. This is a lightweight cotton fabric that is smooth and thin. More and more customers are purchasing cotton fabrics from online fabric stores, which offer greater variety and better options.

Why Breathability Matters in Summer Fabrics

Breathability is easily one of the most important qualities that any summer fabric can have. A breathable fabric lets the heat and moisture escape from the skin, allowing the body to remain cool and comfortable even on the hottest days.

1. Contributes to Sweat Management

Absorbent materials, like sweat-wicking fabrics, draw moisture away from the body, allowing it to evaporate, thereby eliminating stinky, sticky discomfort and moisture.

2. Minimises Skin Rashes

Prolonged heat exposure can be irritating to the skin. Cotton is a natural material that provides full ventilation.

3. Maintains Optimum Body Temperature

Moisture-wicking athletic fabrics keep your body temperature at a safe level. They have a cooling effect when it is warm outside, and keep your moisture level comfortable all day long.

4. Comfortable for All Daily Tasks

Breathable fabrics are the best for all daily tasks, whether you are working, travelling, or relaxing.

All these benefits of cotton are obtained naturally and don’t require the use of harmful chemicals.

Why Cotton is the Most Breathable Fabric

Cotton is extracted from the cotton plant. Thanks to the unique structure of cotton, it has optimal ventilation for cooling.

1. Natural Fibre Component

Air circulates freely in and out of fabrics that are composed of cotton, since it has micro-pores that ensure breathability and moisture-wicking.

2. Superior Moisture Retention

Discomfort due to moisture is alleviated, since cotton absorbs sweat quickly.

3. Breathability and Comfort

Every day and in the daily activities of life, light cotton is the clothing of choice for shirts, kurtis, dresses, and all cotton outfits.

4. Hypoallergenic Properties

Due to its nature, cotton does not trigger any allergic reactions, which is why it is suggested that those with sensitive skin use cotton products.

5. Long Lasting Comfort

Even after several hours, cotton is very comfortable to wear and does not trap heat, nor does it cause you to itch.

Breathable Cambric Cloth: The Best Choice for Hot Weather

It is one of the best cotton types for summer. Cambric cloth is smooth, lightweight, and stronger than most other thin cotton fabrics.

1. Smooth and Fine Weave

Cambric offers great breathability and has soft, though tightly woven, fabric.

2. Lightweight and Airy

Cambric is light enough to keep you cool, and strong enough for the cloth to last long.

3. Suitable for Many Outfits

It is used to make kurtis, shirts, dresses, trousers, scarves, and other casual wear.

4. Absorbs Moisture Fast

Cambric sweat absorption is effective, which prevents stickiness and sweat odour.

5. Easy to Maintain

Breathable Cambric fabric keeps its shape and dries quickly after washing.

Due to the qualities it has, cambric is preferred by most designers and home sewing enthusiasts over other summer materials.

Types of Breathable Cotton Fabrics

Variations of cotton are numerous, and each type is designed for a different feel and purpose.

1. Cambric Cotton

Soft and breathable, and highly recommended for daily use.

2. Lawn Cotton

Thin and block airy (very, very lightweight) material and great for hot weather.

3. Voile Cotton

Has some light weight, semi-transparency for dresses and scarves.

4. Poplin Cotton

Breathable, but durability increases fabric thickness.

5. Mulmul Cotton

Soft, lightweight, and luxurious for summer wear.

Most of these fabric types can be conveniently found in local fabric stores and reliable online fabric stores.

Benefits of Using Breathable Cambric Cloth

Cambric fabric is a summer staple fabric for the reasons below.

1. Gentle on Skin

Soft material, and does not promote any rash or irritation.

2. Strong Durability

In addition to being light, cambric fabric also does not wear off easily and lasts long.

3. Elegant Appearance

It looks neat, classic, and gives clothes a smooth textured finish.

4. Perfect for Embroidery and Printing

Cambric easily holds designs, which is why it is highly preferred for printed fabric and embroidered fabrics.

5. Weather-Friendly

Makes summer days cool and maintains freshness throughout the day.

Why People Prefer Buying Cotton from an Online Fabric Store

Fabric That Is Breathable Cotton

There are quality and breathability standards for cotton.

1. Touch and Feel Test

Soft cotton is of a higher quality. A higher quality cotton is smooth and does not feel rough.

2. Airflow Check

To demonstrate breathability, fabric should not obstruct air. Hold a fabric near the mouth and gently blow.

3. Stretch Test

To demonstrate quality cotton, the fabric should have little to no stretch. If the fabric stretches easily, it is more likely to contain a synthetic.

4. Light Test

Good cotton is smooth with evenly packed weaves in the fabric. Good cotton close to light will not appear rough.

5. Absorption Test

By placing a small droplet of water on the fabric, absorption can be easily tested. Cotton should absorb the droplet quickly.
