Megan Moroney Announces Third Studio Album ‘Cloud 9,’ Out February 20

0

Sony Music Nashville/Columbia Records star Megan Moroney has announced her third studio album, ‘Cloud 9,’ arriving February 20. Available for pre-order now, the highly anticipated LP will be pressed on her Signature Pink vinyl edition. “‘Cloud 9’ is all written about honest, personal experiences, but these songs were written by the strongest, most confident version of myself I’ve ever been,” says Moroney. “It was fun to play around sonically while sticking to my roots. ‘Cloud 9’ is a state of mind, and I have no doubt this will be the best chapter yet.”

The album follows her gold-certified 2024 breakthrough ‘Am I Okay?,’ which delivered major hits like its double platinum title track and platinum-certified “No Caller ID.” As her feed turns pink for the new era, Moroney continues to climb the charts with singles “Beautiful Things,” which debuted at No. 64 on the Billboard Hot 100, and “6 Months Later,” a post-breakup anthem currently sitting in country radio’s Top 10.

Following her sold-out ‘Am I Okay?’ Tour and the release of her first live album, ‘Am I Okay? Tour (Live),’ Moroney performed across Australia, including a confetti-filled duet of “Am I Okay?” with Avery Anna at Melbourne’s Caribbean Gardens. The ‘Cloud 9’ announcement arrives as Moroney prepares for a major night at the 59th Annual CMA Awards, where she’s tied for the most nominations, including Album, Single, and Song of the Year.

Robert DeLong Goes Folktronic With ‘Fool Me Once (Folk Edition)’

0

Alt-electro alchemist Robert DeLong is trading synths for banjo strings with his new release, “Fool Me Once (Folk Edition),” out today, Nov. 7, via Roundhill Records. The reimagined track, originally released on his 2025 deluxe album “PLAYLIST OF DOOM: After DARK,” was inspired from a live show where DeLong performed the track on his banjo. Adding JD Carrera on pedal steel, the song is a boom-clap folktronic anthem with a side of indie twang.

“Fool Me Once was written on a banjo in my kitchen, recorded on a voice note, and then promptly forgotten,” says DeLong. “A few months later during the height of lockdown pandemic quaran-tainment, I produced a fun a cappella version of the song filled with stomping, clapping and singing and people seemed to enjoy it, but again, it disappeared into the feed-ether. As I was putting songs together for ‘PLAYLIST of DOOM,’ I remembered the tune and made a full-production version, which ended up on the Deluxe record. I wanted to do a version of it live, and without thinking one day I picked up my banjo, and then I remembered that’s where it all started. The banjo had accidentally been tuned a half-step too high, which actually suited my voice, and prompted me to record this folk version with my good friend, JD Carrerra, on pedal steel.”

“Fool Me Once” lyrically reflects a multitude of autobiographical moments hand-picked from DeLong’s life and ultimately tell a story about of hopefulness post-one-night stand for future romance.

Originally from Seattle but now based in Los Angeles, the songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist embraces a sense of raw honesty that seeps through his cleverly crafted lyrics on his fourth full-length album, “PLAYLIST OF DOOM,” out via Roundhill Records. His music has been featured on Spotify’s top global playlists ( New Music Friday, The New Alt, Feelgood Indie, Pop Sauce) and in the top five on Billboard’s Alternative charts. DeLong has also graced the stages at festivals such as Coachella, Outside Lands, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Reading and Leeds, Ultra, and many more.

Robert dropped his 2013 debut, “Just Movement,” which featured breakout single “Global Concepts,” and went platinum in Australia. He dropped two more albums and two EPs, along with several notable singles, including 2018’s “Favorite Color Is Blue,” which featured K. Flay, and 2021’s “Did It To Myself,” featuring Lights. He also appeared on two songs on “Walk Like Me.” His 2015 single “Long Way Down” peaked at No. 3 on the U.S. Alternative chart and became his biggest streaming track on Spotify. The musician boasts more than 200 million streams on Spotify and 43 million views on YouTube. Over the years, he has performed at Coachella, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Outside Lands and Reading and Leeds, captivating fans with his dynamic, frenzied live performances. Now, Robert is ready to step into something new.

Rich Ragany, Sami Yaffa, and Simon Maxwell Unite for Debut Release as The Sideshows

0

A new rock collaboration has arrived. The Sideshows brings together acclaimed songwriter Rich Ragany, legendary bassist and guitarist Sami Yaffa, and powerhouse drummer Simon Maxwell for a thrilling debut single. Their first release features two tracks—Side A: ‘Brand New’ and Side B: ‘The Start’—recorded at Yaffa’s Red Mud Studios in Mallorca, Spain. Written by Ragany and composed by Ragany, Yaffa, and Maxwell, both songs showcase the trio’s raw chemistry and love for anthemic rock ‘n’ roll. The sessions were engineered by Puter and Yaffa, produced by Yaffa and Ragany, mixed by Andy Brook, and mastered by Graeme Lynch.

Yaffa shared the story behind the project, recalling his first meeting with Ragany in early 2000s New York City: “Rags was a newcomer to the Lower East Side’s music scene, talked a mile a minute, and poured me a couple of free drinks on Jesse’s tab at Niagara Bar.” Years later, when Ragany dropped by a Michael Monroe gig in Birmingham, the two reconnected over a shared creative spark. “I told him I’d been building a small recording studio in my backyard in Mallorca, Spain and said, ‘Why don’t you come down and we knock a few out and see how the studio sounds?’”

With Simon Maxwell behind the kit, the trio recorded with the studio doors open to the Spanish countryside. “We knocked these two songs out in a couple of days, each session followed by a long dinner…and lots of stories,” said Yaffa. “I think this is a beginning of something, I don’t know what, yet, but something. Stay tuned, and in the meantime enjoy these two great rock ’n’ roll songs.”

On the new music, Meghan shares, “‘Still Don’t Care’ really sets the tone for this whole Toy With Me era — it’s bold, fun, a little cheeky, and full of confidence. This song came from a place of growth for me; I’m learning to care less about perfection and more about what actually makes me happy. I’m learning to shake off negativity, choosing joy, and living life my way — because at this point in my life and career, I’m ready to be done worrying about pleasing  everyone. ‘Still Don’t Care’ is my reminder to myself — and to anyone who’s ever felt judged. Toy With Me feels like the most honest and fearless I’ve ever been — it’s all about self-confidence, freedom, and learning how to meet people where they are at. I wanted to kick off this new chapter with a song that makes people feel unstoppable, and I can’t wait to bring that same energy to everyone on The Get In Girl Tour next summer.”

The new album follows 2024’s Timeless, which was Meghan’s most confident and ambitious record yet. Timeless was accompanied by Meghan’s first headline tour in 8 years and the biggest of her career — a 26-show run that included sold out stops at Madison Square Garden and the Kia Forum. Shortly after the tour wrapped Meghan was also honored with the Hitmaker Award at the Billboard Women in Music Awards, celebrating 10 years of hits since the release of her debut album Title and chart-topping smash “All About That Bass.”

Next summer, Meghan heads back on the road for The Get In Girl Tour, which sees her return to over 30 arenas and amphitheatres across North America, featuring support from Icona Pop. Robyn Returns with First New Single in Seven Years, ‘Dopamine’

0

Robyn makes her long-awaited return with ‘Dopamine,’ her first new single in seven years, accompanied by a striking performance video directed by Marili Andre. The track marks a powerful reunion with longtime collaborator Klas Åhlund, who co-wrote and produced several songs on her 2018 album ‘Honey.’ Teased over recent weeks, ‘Dopamine’ opens a new era for the Swedish pop innovator, blending introspection, rhythm, and raw emotion in her signature style. Watch the video below.

In a press release, Robyn described the song’s concept as a reflection on the chemistry of emotion: “Everyone has a phone where they see their heart rate, and we’re learning how to decode our emotions through the hormones and chemical substances in our bodies. The doubleness of ‘Dopamine’ is having an emotion that is super real, super strong, intense, enjoyable or painful, and at the same time knowing that this is just a biological process in my body—and then not to choose religion or science. To just accept that they’re there together and to be able to go in between.”

With ‘Dopamine,’ Robyn returns to the forefront of pop with clarity, courage, and the emotional depth that continues to define her artistry.
