Amon Amarth Announces Biggest North American Headlining Tour To Date

0

Following their Summer run crisscrossing the continent with their metal comrades in Ghost, Swedish heavy metal icons AMON AMARTH will return to US and Canadian stages this Spring on the Metal Crushes All Tour 2024 produced by Live Nation; the band’s biggest North American tour to date!

Set to commence on April 21st and run through May 25th, the twenty-four-date journey includes a raid at the historic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Denver as well as arena stops in Portland, Vancouver, Quebec City, Asheville, Tampa, and Anaheim. Support will be provided by special guests Cannibal Corpse along with Obituary and Frozen Soul making for a must-see heavy metal event of the year! See all confirmed dates below.

Comments, AMON AMARTH: “Heed our warning; we are gearing up for our biggest and most epic raid in North American history! We are bringing a massive show that will leave your cities in ashes. Scorching the Earth with us are our good friends Cannibal Corpse, Obituary, and Frozen Soul. Come out to the shows and party like Vikings and raise your horns with us. METAL CRUSHES ALL!”

AMON AMARTH continues to tour in support of their critically adored The Great Heathen Army full-length. Recorded with esteemed studio guru Andy Sneap and released in 2022, the record represents another bold leap forward for the band, as their trademark sound undergoes yet another skillful, evolutionary overhaul, both lyrically and musically. From the noisily rabble-rousing “Find A Way Or Make One” and the pummeling, pugilistic “Get In The Ring” to the cinematic squall of the title track, The Great Heathen Army encapsulates the essence of this legendary band, while still allowing acres of space for new ideas.

Wrote Louder Sound of the offering, “The Great Heathen Army is simultaneously everything that helped AMON AMARTH climb to the top in the first place and a return to the darker, less showy sound of their early days… the band’s innate sense for fist-pumping riffs and colossal hooks remains impossible to deny.” Concurred Blabbermouth, “Both an unapologetic, festival-ready dose of new, gleaming, Viking-populated anthems, and one of the darkest and most brutal albums they have yet made, The Great Heathen Army feels celebratory, too — an extravagant blowout to mark the start of the next invasion.”

Formed in Tumba, Sweden, in 1992, AMON AMARTH has forged an extraordinary legacy over three decades of thunderous, anthemic metal, all rich in the magical imagery of Viking history, folklore and culture. With albums like 2008’s widely acclaimed Twilight Of The Thunder God and 2016’s conceptual triumph Jomsviking, the Swedes have been consistent standard bearers for heavy metal as a life-affirming and communal experience, armed with a seemingly endless stream of instant classic songs.

The Teskey Brothers Announce Second Leg Of ‘The Winding Way’ Tour

0

Following the release of their acclaimed 3rd studio album ‘The Winding Way’ and their sold-out return to North America this past summer, The Teskey Brothers announce the second leg of The Winding Way Tour featuring special guests Allen Stone, The Dip, Joseph, Jackie Venson, The Heavy Heavy, Pearl Charles, Leah Senior and Trousdale in select cities. Produced by Live Nation and Frank Productions, the 20-city tour kicks off on April 23 at Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theatre in Miami making stops across North America in Chicago, Los Angeles, Brooklyn and more before wrapping up in Toronto at Massey Hall on June 22.

Over the past 10 years Sam and Josh Teskey, known as The Teskey Brothers, have somehow, quite discreetly, captured the hearts of a massive global audience with their soulful take on blues, folk and rock. It’s an unexpected Australian story of raw, commanding talent cutting through the noise. The pairing of Josh’s once-in-a-generation voice alongside his brother’s silky lead guitar work is so authentically pure it defies all common trends and barriers in the modern age of music. The siblings are a rare bird and music lovers all over the world are sitting up and paying attention.

The band’s three studio albums share a timeless quality, the songwriting honest, the analogue production even more so. 2019’s Run Home Slow picked up a Grammy nomination, while 2023’s The Winding Way landed at #1 on the ARIA album chart and collected the ARIA award for Best Blues & Roots Album.

The Teskey Brothers have sold out virtually every show on their world tour on the back of The Winding Way, from Europe and UK (including a notable 12,000 fans in Amsterdam) to North America, Australia and New Zealand. They’ve seized attention at iconic festivals such as Glastonbury, Montreux Jazz, Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits, and even opened for Bruce Springsteen in Milan.

Appearing with their incredible 7-piece band, The Teskey Brothers’ live performances are a spellbinding communal experience, simply not to be missed.
