The composition blends the anthemic spirit of Britpop with a contemporary edge, drawing comparisons to legendary acts like Oasis. This new material highlights the group’s ability to pair high energy guitar work with sophisticated songwriting.

The single addresses the complexities of emotional distance and the risks associated with vulnerability in modern society. Canadian Rock Icons Alexisonfire And Billy Talent Announce Special Anniversary Tour

Multi-platinum, JUNO award winning rock icons Alexisonfire and Billy Talent are teaming up for two special nights in London, UK and Montreal, QC to celebrate the 20th anniversaries of the albums that changed everything for them. The bands will kick off these exclusive engagements at Wembley Arena in London, UK on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, before heading to Montreal for a performance at the Bell Centre on Friday, July 17, 2026. Both bands will perform their 2006 seminal records in their entirety: Billy Talent will play Billy Talent II, and Alexisonfire will perform Crisis.

Montreal artist presales begin Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at 10am local time via Ticketmaster HERE. Fans will receive a password to access the presale via Billy Talent and Alexisonfire’s mailing lists and social media. General Public on sale begins Friday, February 13, 2026 at 10am local time. The bands have partnered with PLUS1 so that $1 CAD from each Montreal ticket and £1 from each London ticket will be donated to: EB Research Partnership, War Child Canada, Young Minds, and ASTT(e)Q.

Since emerging in the early 2000s, Billy Talent and Alexisonfire have remained two of the most vital forces in rock to come out of Canada. With Alexisonfire’s self-titled debut arriving in October 2002 and Billy Talent’s self-titled LP following in September 2003, the bands have effectively grown up together on the road. From performing in clubs across Canada in 2003 to playing arenas and festivals globally, the two groups have remained close friends and frequent collaborators.

Released in 2006, Billy Talent II stands not only as a defining moment in rock music, but also as the band’s most commercially successful album to date. Upon its release, it debuted at #1 on the Canadian Albums Chart and #1 on the German Albums Chart, showcasing the band’s status as a true force in global rock music. The album was certified 4x Platinum in Canada and 2x Platinum in Germany, selling over one million copies worldwide. Along with the certifications, the album produced a non-stop string of smash hits including “Devil in a Midnight Mass,” “Fallen Leaves,” “Surrender,” and “This Suffering” that remain rock radio staples to this day. The track “Red Flag” not only was featured on the soundtrack to several video games, but also brought the band their American television debut with a Late Night with Conan O’Brien performance.  Billy Talent II garnered critical acclaim and major award wins, including the JUNO Award for Rock Album of the Year and multiple MuchMusic Video Awards. Crisis, released on August 22, 2006, debuted at #1 on the Top 200 SoundScan – one of only four Canadian artists to have a #1 debut that year including Nelly Furtado and Billy Talent –  and is one of the band’s most successful albums. With songs ranging in subject matter from the Blizzard of ’77 (“Crisis”) to disenfranchised workers (“Boiled Frogs”), Crisis embodied a much darker theme than previous Alexisonfire recordings, which the group attributed to returning home from traveling around the world with a fresh perspective. The gravity of Crisis is underscored by its cover art, which features Erno Rossi’s haunting photographs of the Niagara region during the Blizzard of ’77, including an image of a victim with frostbitten hands. The title track itself contains multiple lyrical references to the storm, including the repeated refrain, “one nine seven seven”. The album also marked a much more “rhythmically liberal” process in the studio, with AOF stripping everything down to write and record an album that captured the essence of the band’s live sound, without looping, overdubs, or layered production. Vibrant Emotional Health And Backline Launch 24/7 Mental Health Crisis Line For Music Industry

0

Vibrant Emotional Health (Vibrant), one of the nation’s leading mental health organizations, has partnered with Backline, the nonprofit dedicated to connecting music industry professionals and their families with mental health and wellness resources, to launch B-LINE, a 24/7 mental health and crisis support line designed specifically for the music industry.

B-LINE offers immediate confidential support from trained counselors who understand the realities of working in music. Artists, crew members, staff, executives, and family members can connect by calling 1-855-BLINE99 or texting (254-639) BLINE9.

The launch of B-LINE reflects Backline’s commitment to expanding mental health support for a workforce that frequently operates on the road and outside traditional systems of care.

“Mental health crisis doesn’t wait for business hours, and neither should access to care,” said Cara A. McNulty, DPA, Chief Executive Officer of Vibrant Emotional Health. “This collaboration reflects our commitment to providing care that is compassionate, accessible, and responsive to lived experience. It is another example of how partnerships can close gaps in access.”

“Our teams worked closely with Backline to design and operationalize a support model that truly serves the music industry,” said Michele Giordano, Vice President, Contact Services at Vibrant Emotional Health. “B-LINE brings together trusted partners and trained counselors to provide timely, informed support for individuals and families whenever they reach out.”

Since 2019, Backline has invested $3.5 million in mental health and wellness initiatives for the music industry and has supported more than 84,000 people. Backline’s team continues to encounter urgent situations requiring immediate support, reinforcing the need for a dedicated, real-time crisis line for the music community.

Backline’s Co-Founder and Executive Director Hilary Gleason said the launch of B-LINE represents a long-held vision becoming reality. “This has always been the dream. We’ve supported thousands of music industry professionals in their mental health and wellness journeys, but one critical piece was missing: real-time access to care. B-LINE changes that.”

As part of this effort, Backline’s trusted online resource hub will continue to be available at backline.care, offering ongoing mental health information, referrals, and support for the music community.

B-LINE complements Vibrant’s broader portfolio of crisis response services and innovative mental health programs that collectively deliver life-saving support to millions each year through numerous lifelines, community-based initiatives, and system-level advocacy.

Together, Vibrant and Backline are working to strengthen the mental health safety net for the music industry, ensuring support is accessible whenever it is needed.
