Powerhouse country artist, songwriter, and breakout star Ashley Cooke has released her latest track, “Swear Words,” which is available everywhere out now via Big Loud and Back Blocks Music. The track, written by Cooke with Johnny Clawson, Joe Fox, Kyle Sturrock, and Seth Ennis, is a raw and honest reflection on futility in a failing relationship. Cooke shared the personal meaning behind the song, saying, “This song is realizing that no words, answers, or explanations will be able to fix a relationship that’s beyond repair. It’s surrendering to the silence because it means finally having peace in the situation.”
This single is featured on her brand new nine song project, ‘ace’, which is also available out now and acts as a bridge to her sophomore album. ‘ace’ is a chronological concept record detailing the deeply personal parts of the last two and a half years of her life and includes the two subsequent tracks she announced: “Tin Foil Hat” (released October 3rd) and the fan favorite “Baby Blues” (released November 14th). Cooke is currently on her headlining Your Place Tour and on the road with Kane Brown, having recently earned an ACM nomination for New Female Artist. Her other collaborations, “All I Forgot” with Joe Jonas and the fiery anthem “The Hell You Are,” are also out now. Fans can find her performing alongside artists like Parker McCollum, Dustin Lynch, and Lee Brice as her tour continues through November.
