Steve Mason announces new album ‘Brothers & Sisters’

0

Steve Mason has announced details of the release of his fifth solo album, Brothers & Sisters, which is released on Double Six on Friday 3rd March 2023.

The first track to be taken from the album is “No More” ft Javed Bashir and today Steve has shared a James Hankins directed video for the track. A visually stunning video featuring Steve and Javed it was filmed across the South of England and Lahore in Pakistan.

Talking about “No More” Steve said: “This track is about Imperialism and in a subtle way, relative to some of my other work, references Australia, Partition and Africa through a combination of lyrics and music. I like to imagine the spirits of these cultures and people haunting the families who profited and were involved in their destruction down through the generations. Never giving them real peace. I can never square in my mind the idea of going to a new country with such horror in mind and struggle to believe that those who carry out such deeds are in fact Human. Sitting in incredible splendour with everything around you, dripping in the blood of incredible and ancient civilisations. This subject has been gone over in depth by many highly intelligent people over the years and is of course nothing new but given the message behind this ‘FUCK BREXIT PRO IMMIGRATION’ album I felt a little history and context was needed.”

His most open, honest and vibrant solo record to date, it marries the personal and the political but does so in an emotive and uplifting manner. Written against a backdrop of fear and uncertainty, and at a time when those in charge lurched from one disaster to the next mismanagement with increasing regularity, Brothers & Sisters is in fact an incredibly joyous, even spiritual, listen.

With musical contributions from feted Pakistani singer Javed Bashir, British gospel singers Jayando Cole, Keshia Smith, Connie McCall & Adrian Blake and Kaviraj Singh on the santoor it’s a record about bringing people together through art, music and culture.

“To me, this record is a massive ‘Fuck you’ to Brexit,” explains Mason. “And a giant ‘Fuck you’ to anyone that is terrified of immigration because there is nothing that immigration has brought to this country that isn’t to be applauded. Can you imagine what this place would be like without that [immigration]? I mean what would it be like? Cornish pasties and morris dancing?.”

Finally, Steve Mason has announced a run of full-band U.K. dates next year. These follow his December ‘No More’ tour where he will be performing solo accompanied by keyboardist Darren Morris road-testing songs from the new album.

Rapper Deuce Fantastick Teases New Album With Powerfully Empowering New Single “4L1v3”

0

Driven by slick cadence and gut-wrenching storytelling, Edmonton’s Deuce Fantastick’s newest single “4L1v3” delivers deep rhythms and colorful portrayals of perseverance.

Actively fighting against the negativity in the world, Deuce throws lyrical jabs of gratitude and positivity aimed directly for the listener. Hoping to inspire greatness in his fans, “4L1v3” preaches the importance of overcoming personal demons while rising above self-doubt.

“I wrote ‘4L1v3’ because I feel like the world has been filled with a lot of negativity in the last couple of years. I wanted to create a piece that could raise the vibration by speaking about gratitude, love, and positivity while at the same time talking about my own personal journey of inner growth.”

Teasing the release of his newest album, Billion Dollar Dreams Vol. 2, The Future, “4L1v3” sets the pace for this ambitious rapper. “4L1v3” feels deeply personal to Deuce Fantastick as he spits personal mantra’s and up-lifting verses. Deuce reflects on this sentiment directly, “ ‘4L1v3’ speaks on a lot of essential subjects such as overcoming your demons, rising above lower vibrations, and self-doubt. When people hear this song, I want them to close their eyes, listen to the lyrics, and feel as if it is them speaking my words – a mantra of sorts.”

While the messaging in Deuce Fantastick’s newest single is inspirational and empowering, the production value really sells “4L1v3.” Brimming with swagger, Deuce Fantastick delivers hard-hitting bass licks and diesel-powered drum cadence that leans the track towards something reminiscent of early 2000’s East Coast rap.

Deuce Fantastick’s songwriting and performing has sent ripples through the music industry. Climbing the ranks in order to stand above those competing for a share in an oversaturated market, Deuce’s intricate flow patterns, lyrical abilities, smooth storytelling, and ingenious fusion of rock, reggae, and rap music help this breakout artist rise above the competition.

Deuce Fantastick’s music career started in 2004 where he performed with Edmonton’s hip hop group Peep Game. From there, he would branch off into his solo career with the release of his debut album, M.O.T.H (Memoirs of the Hustler), released in 2017. In 2018 he competed in the Vancouver edition of “Coast to Coast” where he won first place and was given the chance to perform in Miami, Florida.

From there it was only up for Deuce Fantastick. He collaborated with artist and producer Mac Millon on a reggae/rap EP only to follow the breakthrough release with another tantalizing single, “Audio Cardio.” The artist has consistently released music since then, Billion Dollar Dreams vol.1, The Present being his most popular, garnering more than half a million streams worldwide.

Finding his talents to feel slightly restrained, 2021 was a vessel for change for Deuce. Shifting gears to focus on T.V. and Film production, he teamed up with Adam Little and created two albums that received praise and sync licensing from Gramoscope Inc, seeing at least five placements on the Oprah Winfrey Network.

Throughout Deuce’s career, he has had the opportunity to do hundreds of shows with prolific artists and musicians such as the Outlawz, Snoop Dog, BONE THUGS N Harmony, Method Man, Red Man, Big Boi of Outkast, The L.o.x, Fabulous, Pusha-T, and countless others.

SONIC DETOUR Thunders Through The Earth In “Uncivilized”

0

Award-winning New Brunswick-based Alt-Metal band Sonic Detour sonically split the earth with a visceral track about getting pushed to the edge and never looking back on the blistering new single “Uncivilized.”

Sonic Detour delivers a spellbinding performance on “Uncivilized,” a song that pushed the band to the limit during the recording process and is a testament to the group’s resilience. The latest single comes hot on the heels of Sonic Detour’s last hit release, “Dolls,” which debuted earlier this year.

“Uncivilized” is a no holds barred shot to the ear that brings the thunder right out the gate. Booming drums and rip-roaring guitar riffs set the tone for things to come. Sonic Detour demonstrates why they’re the band to watch out for with impressively intricate musical composition driven by precision execution. “Uncivilized” strikes the rare balance of offering a musically impressive showcase and a compelling song.

Just as the recording process was about to begin for “Uncivilized,” the band’s primary singer/songwriter, David ‘Goose’ Jenkly, was having a change of heart. “The lyrics and vocal melody were completely over-hauled the night before recording,” says Jenkly.

Despite the band’s chaotic recording circumstances, Jenkly opted to reach deep within himself for lyrical inspiration. “I don’t like to talk about the meaning behind lyrics, but needless to say, I was going through some things at the time, and it came out.”

Each line is a gut punch that draws on the feeling of being slowly pushed toward the edge of sanity as the world continues to descend into uncertainty.

“I’ve drifted over the line
Cut out my tongue and become Uncivilized
You should come around and see me, man, I’m easy to find
Where reality thrives
And the animals die.”

The recording process became controlled chaos from the moment Sonic Detour got into the studio. “Approximately 10 minutes into the session, we get a knock on the studio door and in comes an older gentleman. He said he has an office next door and it’s too loud during business hours. So we shut down the session and agreed to come back the next day,” says Sonic Detour drummer Jeff Andrusyk. “I arrive at the studio the next day. I don’t think I was even 5 minutes into recording when my pedal punched a hole into the kick drum. Everything that could have gone wrong, went wrong.”

The adaptability of Sonic Detour has become one of its signature strengths. A five-piece band from Saint John, New Brunswick, the band was founded in 2019 and immediately began making waves with their debut, self-titled EP, which went on to be nominated for an ECMA in 2021.

The band is comprised of David “Goose” Jenkly on vocals, Jason Crowley on bass/vocals, Marcus Marcial slays the guitar/vocals, Nikki Cook also shreds guitar/vocals, and Jeff Andrusyk on drums. Sonic detour has since been a two-time Prix MNB award nominee and is currently working on its first full-length album.

Sonic Detour’s electrifying new single, “Uncivilized,” is available now!

Toronto’s Union Hearing Aid Centre Celebrates 100 Years In Helping People Hear…Here

0

Over 21,000 satisfied patients and counting can attest to the integrity, compassion, and commitment to the community that has defined the Union Hearing Aid Centre (UHAC) for the past 100 years.

At the helm of such an extraordinarily vital operation are two exceptional human beings and owners of Union Hearing Aid Centre, Chris Kyroglou and Nick Veronico. While people know Chris and Nick to be accomplished Hearing Instrument Practitioners in their practice, many may not know about the peculiar lineage and extraordinary responsibility passed down to these champions of auditory health.

From their current location at 123 Edward Street in Toronto, it’s in these offices where Hear Here, their annual event started by Nick and Chris in 2000 was conceived. In the many years that the fun fest has been held, it has been a great success thus far with over $400,000 raised for the Peter and Margery Keller Fund. The Peter and Margery Keller Fund has been established at the Hospital for Sick Children to help provide hearing aids for hearing impaired children. The fund covers the patient cost of hearing aids that is not covered by the Assistive Devices Program. Eligible families for funding are those who demonstrate financial need and who are not covered by any insurance benefits or social assistance agency.

The focus of the event is to promote public awareness to rid people of the stereotypes and stigmas associated with hearing loss. They want to make people aware that hearing loss is not directly related to how old one is and that children wear hearing aids as well, while raising awareness of hearing loss in all aspects – work, play, concerts, and wearing headphones.

But let’s go back a moment. About 100 years’ worth of moments.

In the ashes of the First World War arose a man named Lou Saad, who founded one of the first hearing aid offices in downtown Toronto in 1922 called Acousticon of Toronto. The clinic would remain in Saad’s hands for approximately 30 years until Acousticon of Toronto was purchased by pediatric hearing aid specialist Peter Keller and his wife Margery Keller and officially changed to the Union Hearing Aid Centre.

After over 40 years in business and several pioneering practices and technologies, Peter Keller decided in 1994 to pass down his expertise to his two bright-eyed apprentices, Chris Kyroglou and Nick Veronico.

In Jaipreet Virdi’s 2020 book Hearing Happiness: Deafness Cures in History, she talks about being a patient of UHAC for over 25 years and the first time she encountered Nick and Chris. They were assistants on a primary school visit to check the hearing aids and ear molds of children conducted by Peter Keller, the local hearing aid dealer, who had arranged the program with schools. “We were told that Mr. Keller was approaching retirement and eventually his new employees would take over the practice,” says Virdi.

Armed with the wisdom of the ages and unrivalled technical expertise, Chris and Nick and the entire Union Hearing Aid Centre team continue to provide life-changing services and improve the quality of life for patients of all ages. Expertise is one of the main factors that make hearing aid practitioners so vital to the lives of their patients; the other is character. For many who discover or live with hearing impairment, seeking care can be a troublesome burden. Chris, Nick and the entire team go to extraordinary lengths to ensure the processes at Union Hearing Aid Centre are streamlined and empathetic to the needs of patients.

A review by Karine Valentini on the Union Hearing Aid Centre Facebook business page points out her outstanding experience, where she says, “Most importantly, they don’t treat you like a patient, they treat you like family; I honestly can’t imagine going through this ongoing learning curve without them.”

Another customer by Diane Elizabeth Trovao echoed the same sentiment when she wrote, “Best place for kids, my son started at six months, and now he is 10. Highly recommend this place!! I’ve dealt with Chris and Nick, and both are amazing individuals with very good knowledge and experience.”

It is undeniable that the success of the Union Hearing Aid Centre can be attributed to a century-long dedication to community care that has blossomed into an essential practice with over 15 staff members. With the amazing team continually steering the Union Hearing Aid Centre toward progress and inclusiveness for all and making life better for the kids and adults who walk through the door, there is little doubt that the Union Hearing Aid Centre will be providing care for another 100 years.

In a world of billion-dollar superhero franchises and leading figures saving the world on screen, REAL heroes like Chris Kyroglou, Nick Veronico and their amazing team continue to inspire REAL change in the world through their effortless grace and renowned professionalism.

Cellist Margaret Maria and Soprano Donna Brown Are “Between Worlds” On Collaborative New Album

0

Enveloping the philosophy of Eros and Thanatos, the creative life force, and the inevitability of death, Between Worlds starts and ends as just another day, with the Sunrise and the Sunset. What fills our days on this earth, from birth to death, is a journey of extremes. Between Worlds was a unique collaboration between two artists whose hearts are very much aligned, Cellist Margaret Maria and Soprano Donna Brown.

With her masterful skills as an extraordinary cellist merging with the intuition of a gifted creator, Margaret is a unique and exciting new voice in the world of music. Her talents have been described as “an unstoppable force of nature – seamless in its complete unification of technical and subconscious realm,” making her music one of a kind and mystifying in its process and creation.

A graduate of the prestigious Curtis Institute of Music, Margaret’s career has seen her play on many stages as a seasoned solo and chamber music performer and in professional orchestras across Canada. Her later in life transition into composition has seen her work being performed on stage in her very first World premiere of a piece for orchestra and soprano.

The original production of Between Worlds premiered in 2019 in Ottawa, featuring the Ottawa Chamber Orchestra, with guest soloist, the great Canadian soprano Donna Brown.

“While I was still a member of the National Arts Centre Orchestra, I heard many glorious sounds, but one particular artist caught my attention,” says Margaret. “The artistry and personality of Donna took my breath away.”

Donna’s voice has been described as “shimmering, luminous, and gemlike in its brilliance.” She has performed on the opera and concert stages worldwide and has sung in over 200 recitals with such pianists as Stephane Lemelin, Philippe Cassard, and Roger Vignoles to name a few. Her repertoire is extensive, including opera, recital, chamber music, contemporary music, and even alternative music.

“I was enraptured and could only dream of writing music for her voice,” says Margaret. “I had just begun composing, and my idea was more a figment of hope rather than something concrete. Some of the poems written for Between Worlds were explicitly set to music, while others were adapted into music composed in the poem’s theme. She writes her poetry like I write my music! Her words oscillate between different states of consciousness just as I live my life and feel my music.”

The album was recorded despite enduring many challenges, including the pandemic delaying the project for almost two years. Throughout the recording process with engineer Tim Peterson, Donna sang her parts acapella or headphones to pre-recorded music – a new challenge for her – and Margaret later created the pieces around her voice.

For the last piece, “One,” the music had already been written, and Margaret asked Donna to write words to it. This was a new challenge for Donna, but in listening to the music, the words came to her quickly, as though they were always meant to be there. All of this made for a very fluid process of creation.

“With a kind of synesthesia, I take in the energy waves of a moment in time, an event, poem, or concept, expand its emotions within me and then coat it in musical notes that are imbued with that emotion and send it back out into the world as music. It is my voice making a statement on what it means to be a spirit in a human form living in this world today; from our darkest instincts to our lightest facets, reflected through my music.”

The world goes on, season after season, uncaring of the humanity that is struggling to breathe, to live. And yet we experience life, death, and time almost despite the world that keeps on carelessly turning. Every step of Between World shas had its challenges in being brought to life in this format, but Margaret Maria and Donna Brown’s fervent passion for this project held them steadfast to release an album already garnering attention around the world.

Darius Rucker Reveals Forthcoming Album “Carolyn’s Boy”

0

“At the end of the day, I’m really still just Carolyn’s Boy,” three-time GRAMMY Award winner Darius Rucker shares following this morning’s interview with “TODAY” anchor Craig Melvin, during which he exclusively revealed the title of a new solo album planned for 2023 along with the meaningful cover image, a portrait of his late mother Carolyn.

“I wanted to name the record Carolyn’s Boy because Mom never got to see any of my success,” he explained. “She died before any of this happened, so it’s just another homage to the greatest woman I’ve ever known.”

When asked why now is the right time to honor her, Rucker was reflective, conceding, “years ago, I wasn’t really sure what my place in Country music was and I was trying to find it. Now I have found it – I know – and I think it’s time to give that record.”

In addition to looking ahead to the forthcoming album, Rucker also marked several major milestones during the conversation, including his 10-year anniversary as a member of the Grand Ole Opry and his recent 10th No. 1 single at Country radio with “Beers And Sunshine.” Melvin was also on hand for the celebration of a milestone only three other artists have ever achieved in Country music, as “Wagon Wheel” earned RIAA Diamond certification as an 11x Platinum hit.

“Coming into Nashville, to expect anything like that wasn’t even in the cards,” Rucker noted when asked about his reaction to achieving that level of success in Country music. “Here we are now – 15, 16, years in – it’s been a fun run.”

Together with producer Frank Rogers, Rucker also shared an exclusive look at the isolated vocal track of “Wagon Wheel” in addition to previewing new music he is working on now for the project planned for release in 2023. Fans can also get a sneak peek at the new Carolyn’s Boy album with Rucker’s recent releases, “Same Beer Different Problem” and “Ol’ Church Hymn” (featuring Chapel Hart), available everywhere now.

Rucker first achieved multi-Platinum status in the music industry as lead singer and rhythm guitarist of the GRAMMY Award-winning band Hootie & the Blowfish, who have sold more than 25 million albums worldwide including their Double Diamond-certified (21x Platinum) debut Cracked Rear View, which remains among the Top 10 best-selling studio albums of all time. Since releasing his first Country album in 2008, Rucker has earned a whole new legion of fans with four No. 1 albums on the Billboard Country chart, including RIAA Platinum-certified Learn to Live and True Believers, plus 10 No. 1 singles at Country radio and 11 Gold, Platinum or multi-Platinum certified hits. Rucker was inducted as a Grand Ole Opry member in 2012 and in 2014 he won his third career GRAMMY Award for Best Solo Country Performance with his Diamond-certified (11x Platinum) version of  “Wagon Wheel,” one of the Top 5 best-selling Country songs of all time. He co-hosted the 54th annual CMA Awards in 2020 and topped the charts at Country radio once again with “Beers And Sunshine” in 2021. New songs “Same Beer Different Problem” and “Ol’ Church Hymn” (featuring Chapel Hart) are available everywhere now as Rucker puts the finishing touches on a forthcoming album, Carolyn’s Boy, planned for release in 2023.

As a lifelong philanthropist, Rucker co-chaired the capital campaign that generated $150 million to help build the new MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital in his hometown of Charleston, S.C. and has raised over $3 million for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital through his annual Darius & Friends benefit concert and golf tournament.

In addition, Rucker has advocated for over 200 charitable causes supporting public education and junior golf programs in South Carolina through the Hootie & the Blowfish Foundation and serves as a National Chair for the National Museum of African American Music in Nashville, Tenn. Rucker is also an avid sports fan, with his NFL x Darius Rucker Collection by Fanatics apparel line available at NFLshop.com, and he is part of the Music City Baseball investment group working to bring an MLB team to Tennessee in addition to serving as a partner at the MGC Sports & Entertainment agency.

Jordan Davis, Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line and Canadian Josh Ross To Perform At 109th Grey Cup

A trio of country music’s shining stars will unite for a one-time-only collaboration for this year’s Twisted Tea Grey Cup Halftime Show. The Canadian Football League (CFL) will welcome Jordan DavisTyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line, and Canada’s own Josh Ross to the stage at the 109th Grey Cup from Saskatchewan’s Mosaic Stadium on Sunday, November 20. The championship contest and the halftime spectacular will be broadcast live on TSN and RDS – Canada’s home of the CFL.

The headliners were unveiled on this evening’s edition of CTV’s etalk, as the league prepares for the Playoffs with all roads leading to Regina.

“It’s always great to play in Canada, and I can’t wait to soak in the energy and vibe of Grey Cup,” said Davis. “Canadian music fans are some of the best in the world. Playing for them, especially with Tyler and Josh, will make for an incredibly special night that I’ll never forget.”

The Shreveport, La., native recently reached No. 1 for the fourth time, with the title track off his 2021 EP, “Buy Dirt (feat. Luke Bryan).” The triple-Platinum hit has been nominated for Single, Song and Event of the Year at both the Country Music Awards and the Academy of Country Music Awards. The single joins a trio of tracks from his debut album Home State – “Singles You Up,” “Take it From Me,” and “Slow Dance in a Parking Lot” – which have reached the top of the charts. The winner of Best New Country Artist at the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards is also a two-time nominee for the Academy of Country Music’s New Male Artist of the Year and Billboard’s Top New Country Artist in 2018. His current single, “What My World Spins Around” was recently certified Gold in Canada. Davis will join Thomas Rhett’s Bring The Bar To You Tour for ten arena dates across Canada beginning February 23 in Vancouver.

Tyler Hubbard echoed Davis’s sentiments when reflecting on the opportunity ahead.

“It’s an exciting opportunity to be asked to play the halftime show for such a huge event like the Grey Cup. I love playing in Canada because the fans always bring a great energy to the shows, so performing my music for the country music fans and for the passionate football fans is going to be quite an experience! I’m really looking forward to being a part of this iconic event.”

With 19 No. 1 singles on country radio, countless awards, and sold-out tours, Tyler Hubbard has already had a remarkable career as a prolific songwriter and as one half of the multi-Platinum duo Florida Georgia Line. Now ready for the next chapter, the Georgia native is embarking on a solo career with his debut solo album, Tyler Hubbard, releasing January 27, 2023. Hubbard’s debut solo single, “5 Foot 9,” has already reached No. 1 at radio in Canada and has 185M global streams. In anticipation of his debut solo album, this past summer, Hubbard released a six-song project, Dancin’ In The Country, which already has over 200M global streams. Hubbard wrote or co-wrote all of the 18 tracks on Tyler Hubbard, teaming up with some of Nashville’s most prominent hitmakers.

The pair will be joined on the Twisted Tea Grey Cup Halftime Show stage by Burlington, Ont., native Josh Ross, whose performance will be the realization of two childhood dreams.

“Growing up, football was everything, and like so many young Canadians, the Grey Cup was the goal. Injuries led me on a different path, and now, music is my greatest passion and the stage is where I’m living my dreams. So to see these two paths come together, and lead to Saskatchewan – life is funny sometimes, but it’s also perfect.”

The former Western University Mustang defensive back made his major-label debut with “On A Different Night,” before following it up with the summertime anthem “Tall Boys” and the Gold-certified ballad “First Taste of Gone,” which found its way onto the Top-5 Canadian Country Music Charts and entered the Canadian Hot 100. Nashville-based, Ross was nominated for 2022 Rising Star at the Canadian Country Music Awards.

The trio’s special collaboration has been made possible through the CFL’s ongoing partnership with Universal Music Canada, which has featured in-game broadcast music, a stadium concert series and collaborations with the league’s nine member clubs.

The 109th Grey Cup represents the second year in which Twisted Tea – the Official ‘Ready-to-drink’ beverage of the CFL and Grey Cup – has brought together music and sport to delight and excite CFL fans, following an unforgettable showing by hometown heroes, Arkells and special guests The Lumineers at the 108th Grey Cup in Hamilton.

“Music and football go hand-in-hand,” said Trevor Grant, Vice President of Marketing and Sales of Moosehead Breweries LTD, which markets and distributes Twisted Tea in Canada. “Music forms the soundtrack of our lives, and Jordan, Tyler and Josh will be the perfect soundtrack for this year’s Grey Cup.

“Twisted Tea couldn’t be prouder to play such an important role in bringing Grey Cup – one of the largest events on the Canadian sporting calendar – to life with an unforgettable evening of action, entertainment and music.”

The 109th Grey Cup will be played in Regina at Mosaic Stadium on Sunday, November 20 with kickoff slated for 5 p.m. local/6 p.m. ET. The sold-out contest and the Twisted Tea Grey Cup Halftime Show will be broadcast live across the nation on TSN and RDS – Canada’s home of the CFL.

Anna Of The North Releases Album ‘Crazy Life’

0

Today, Anna of the North releases her third-studio album Crazy Life. Featuring 11 highly anticipated tracks, Crazy Life is an electric body of work displaying the inner workings of Anna of the North’s journey throughout the years.

Crazy Life transcends the Norwegian artist’s ability to find comfort in vulnerability by inviting listeners into her world and illustrating exactly how it’s done. Uncovering iridescence in mundanity, Anna of the North offers confessional and relatable lyrics with clarity, confidence and a splash of shimmer.

“The album is about everything, nothing, and all in between,” she observes. “It’s about those small things we don’t necessarily talk about—like the days where you lie on the couch because you can’t get out of the house. As humans, we’re complex. What I love thinking about is the fact that when I let these songs out in to the universe, people will connect with them in different ways. Some people will cry to them; other people will have sex to them. That’s the beautiful thing about music. I’ve definitely gone into some territory inside of me that I haven’t in the past.”

Anna of the North makes the kind of music you can take along with you on the dancefloor, on a long drive with a loved one, or in the dead of night when you’re alone and need someone to understand how you feel. Trading her native Norway for Australia on a whim, she gained the nickname “Anna of the North,” underwent a creative awakening, and returned home with a renewed sense of purpose. Since 2014, she’s quietly emerged as an alternative pop phenomenon. She captivated listeners with a pair of acclaimed albums—Lovers [2017] and Dream Girl [2019]. The latter’s title track “Dream Girl” soundtracked Apple’s Global iPad Pro campaign “Float,” earned a Norwegian Grammy, and landed a sync in the third installment of NETFLIX’s blockbuster To All The Boys series, To All The Boys…Always & Forever, enshrining her as the only artist to contribute music to all three films. Tyler, The Creator recruited her to feature on the platinum-certified “Boredom” and lend background vocals to “911 / Mr. Lonely” [feat. Frank Ocean & Steve Lacy] from his GRAMMY® Award-nominated Flower Boy. Dua Lipa invited her to join forces for the “IDGAF (Anna of the North Remix),” and G-Eazy enlisted her for “Pick Me Up” from his platinum-certified epic The Beautiful & The Damned.
