The Laugh That Echoed Around the World
Phil Collins’ unsettling laugh in “Mama” remains one of the most memorable moments in the Genesis catalog. Mayday Parade Announce 3-Part Album and Massive North American 20-Year Anniversary Tour

Mayday Parade – vocalist Derek Sanders, drummer/vocalist Jake Bundrick, guitarists Alex Garcia and Brooks Betts and bassist/vocalist Jeremy Lenzo – will be celebrating 20 years together in 2025. As they welcome this career milestone, the Tallahassee, Florida, five-piece is set to release perhaps their most aspirational and ambitious effort yet: a three-part album showcasing their prolific, emotionally resonant songwriting.

The first entry, Sweet, arrives April 18, 2025, and is led by the effervescent bounce of “By The Way,” a pitch-perfect blend of what’s made Mayday Parade a genre mainstay for decades: a tender, piano-led groove ultimately giving way to a crush of stereo guitars, ascendent melodies, and heart-on-sleeve lyricism.

“Being in a band for this long, sometimes you feel like you’re getting it right and sometimes you feel like you’re dancing around what you should be doing. This song feels locked in as a step in the right direction. It’s a song about trying to stay optimistic as the world and everything you know is changing around you. We hope you all enjoy it,” says Derek Sanders on “By The Way.”

Sweet succinctly showcases just how far Mayday Parade has come in the past two decades featuring the trademark sound that’s transformed them from genre newcomers to torchbearers for a new generation. Recorded with longtime producers, multiplatinum engineers Zack Odom and Kenneth Mount (All Time Low, Jimmy Eat World), the trilogy of releases will serve as Mayday Parade’s eight full-length studio album and first LP since 2021’s What It Means To Fall Apart. The new three-part album is also the band’s first self-released collection since 2006’s Tales Told By Dead Friends EP that Mayday Parade sold in parking lots across the country as they followed that year’s Vans Warped Tour.

“Being a band for 20 years feels big and we wanted to do something big to match that. Our next release will be a large album split up into three different parts. It feels like a challenge and an exciting step forward for the band. Our goal is to take the things we’ve learned and the ways we’ve grown and apply them towards an ambitious release. We’re incredibly thankful for the opportunity to continue to create music and we cannot wait to share Part 1 – titled ‘Sweet’ – with the world,” Derek Sanders said on Sweet.

Since first forming in 2005 Mayday Parade has graced the covers of Alternative Press and Rock Sound, been featured in Rolling Stone, Billboard, and Kerrang, twice headlined Sad Summer Festival (a festival they co-founded six years ago), performed as a feature act at 2024’s When We Were Young festival, and are already announced for this year’s event in Las Vegas on October 18th. They’ve also been a featured act at Riot Fest and Slam Dunk, done numerous headline tours as well as support slots and just last year Mayday Parade’s Derek Sanders joined Dashboard Confessional’s “Emo SuperJam” at Bonnaroo Music & Art Festival.

As one of the most enduring acts to rise from the underground in the mid-aughts, Mayday Parade has soundtracked both adolescence and adulthood for millions of listeners. Their music stands synonymous with the emo and pop-punk genres: 2007’s A Lesson In Romantics, their debut LP is gold certified and has been hailed as one of the best – and most influential – emo albums of all time by Alternative Press. Monsters In The Closet, their 2013 release, debuted in the top 10 of the Billboard 200, and tracks like the platinum-selling “Jamie All Over,” gold-certified “Miserable At Best” and “Oh Well, Oh Well” represent not only widespread commercial acclaim, but the sort of artist-audience relationship that’s fortified them across changing musical landscapes and the ebb and flow of an unforgiving industry.

Coheed and Cambria Announces Co-Headline Tour With Taking Back Sunday

Coheed and Cambria shares new single “Someone Who Can” from their forthcoming album The Father of Make Believe, which is set for release March 14th via Virgin Music Group. In conjunction with the new song, the band shares its heartwarming Mason Mercer-directed video where we get a glimpse at the early days of Coheed and Cambria in and around their hometown of Nyack, New York. “Someone Who Can” follows the previously shared The Father of Make Believe singles “Blind Side Sonny” and “Searching For Tomorrow” along with Claudio Covers, which arrived at the end of last year and features eight songs reimagined by primary songwriter and lead guitarist Claudio Sanchez including “Just Like Heaven” by The Cure and “Welcome To New York” by Taylor Swift, among others.

“Someone Who Can” is arguably the band’s most accessible song in their 24 year career. When asked about the meaning behind the song, Claudio remarked, “When you’re growing up, you’re perpetually trying to understand the world that’s changing around you. Over time, it’s comforting to reach the conclusion that you’ll never truly have things figured out.”

Along with today’s release of the new song and video, Coheed and Cambria announces a North American co-headline summer tour with Taking Back Sunday with support from Foxing on all dates. The 25-date tour produced by Live Nation, kicks off on August 16th in St Louis, hitting some majestic venues, including the massive PNC Bank Arts Center in New Jersey, picturesque Red Rocks in Denver and the Greek Theatre in both Los Angeles and Berkeley, California. The whirlwind run wraps up at Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery in Seattle on September 21st. Tickets are on sale this Friday, January 17th at 10am local time HERE.

Ahead of their run with Taking Back Sunday, the band will embark on The Infinite Arc co-headline arena tour with Mastodon, following the Tool in the Sand festival with Tool, Primus, Mastodon, Eagles of Death Metal and more in the Dominican Republic this March. This July, the band will perform at 2000 Trees with Kneecap, Taking Back Sunday, Alexisonfire, and more in the United Kingdom. This November, Coheed will embark on their S.S. The Father of Make Believe continues the narrative of The Amory Wars / Vaxis universe, following Coheed and Cambria’s 2022 album Vaxis Act II: A Window of the Waking Mind. The Father of Make Believe will include the aforementioned singles “Blind Side Sonny,” arguably Coheed and Cambria’s most aggressive track to date that was complemented by a Max Moore-directed video that unveiled a new villain in The Amory Wars realm, and “Searching For Tomorrow,” which arrived with an Anthony Scheppard-directed and animated video.

The Oak Ridge Boys Extend 2024 ‘American Made’ Farewell Tour

GRAMMY Award winners and Country Music Hall of Fame inductees The Oak Ridge Boys are thrilled to announce additional dates for their extended American Made Farewell Tour. The tour, named after one of their most beloved hits, celebrates their decades-long career and supports their latest album, Mama’s Boys, which was released in November of last year via Lightning Rod/Thirty Tigers. Known for their timeless harmonies and captivating performances, the group is taking this opportunity to say thank you to all their fans and friends for their love and support.

Despite the farewell tour, The Oak Ridge Boys aren’t slowing down completely as they plan to head back into the studio later this year to record a new album, continuing their legacy of creating music that resonates with fans old and new.

“We’ve had so much fun touring from city to city and getting to see everyone,” shares William Lee Golden. “The response we received from the new album has been wonderful and we hope you love it as much as we do. Keep checking our website as new dates will be added soon!”

Mama’s Boys, the Oak Ridge Boys’ fifth collaboration with GRAMMY-winning producer Dave Cobb, was recorded at the iconic RCA Studio A and Blackbird Studios in Nashville. Leading up to its release, the group built anticipation with standout singles like the heartfelt “I Thought About You, Lord” featuring Willie Nelson, the soulful “Come On Home,” and the nostalgic “That’s The Way Mama Made It.” The album also marks a special milestone as the first to feature Ben James as tenor. Since joining the group over a year ago, Ben has captured the hearts of Oak Ridge Boys’ fans.

Turnover Announces Full Peripheral Vision 10-Year Anniversary Tour

Following the feverish reaction to the initial anniversary shows announced last month, Turnover announces its full 2025 North American tour celebrating the 10-year anniversary of their classic sophomore album Peripheral Vision. Beyond the six anniversary shows the band announced in December, which all sold out in a matter of days, Turnover is expanding the run across North America. The 38-date run produced by Live Nation, including the six dates that sold out after being initially announced in December, which will take place across April, May, and June, with a show in London to follow in September, will see the band play the album in-full for the first time in some of the biggest shows of their career: Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado, the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, The Dome in Virginia Beach, Brooklyn Paramount in Brooklyn, New York and Roundhouse in London. Across select dates of this run, the band will be supported by Citizen, Balance & Composure, Tigers Jaw, Horse Jumper of Love and KEEP.

Tickets will be available starting with presales beginning today at 11am ET. Additional presales will run throughout the week ahead of the general onsale beginning Friday, January 17 at 10am local time at turnovermusic.net.

As part of the tour’s VIP offering, a band variant of a forthcoming 10 Year Anniversary Edition LP will be available while supplies last. Additional vinyl variants and formats, including a deluxe Triple LP Anniversary Edition, will be made widely available for pre-order in the near future.

Released on May 4th, 2015 via Run For Cover Records, Turnover’s second album Peripheral Vision is widely regarded as an essential body of the work in the band’s discography, maturing its sound into a shoegaze-inflected post-punk direction following the band’s 2013 debut record Magnolia. Described as “a tour de force” by Kerrang!, the album set the stage for an extensive and prolific touring history over the past decade and three subsequent albums, including their most recent LP, 2022’s Myself in the Way.

Sir Woman Announces Double Album “If It All Works Out and If It Doesn’t” And Headline Tour

Rising artist Sir Woman—the solo project of vocalist and songwriter Kelsey Wilson—confirms her double album If It All Works Out and If It Doesn’t for Spring 2025.

Wilson’s long-held passion for soul, funk, and R&B led to the creation of the double album. On If It All Works Out, produced by Sir Woman and Matt Pence (Jason Isbell, John Grant, Sarah Jaffe, Cody Jinks, Here We Go Magic), Wilson emphasizes themes of love, positivity, and romance while embracing Sir Woman’s ethos of self-empowerment. “It was all the records from the ’70s that I loved listening to growing up,” says Wilson. “I got to emulate and do my version.”

The second album, If It Doesn’t, written during Wilson’s darkest times and produced by Sir Woman and Jason Burt (Paul Cauthen, The Texas Gentleman, Leon Bridges), aims to inspire listeners facing life’s challenges.

In support of the new music, Sir Woman will embark on a headline tour across North America. Kicking off on March 15, the tour includes stops in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, Chicago, Nashville, Philadelphia, New York City, Toronto, and more. In 2022, Sir Woman took the Austin music scene by storm with her self-titled full-length debut. This success led to performances at renowned clubs, recognition as Artist of the Year at the 2023 Austin Music Awards, and features in Rolling Stone, Spin, Variety, and on the cover of the Austin Chronicle. Wilson’s project has garnered over 40 million streams on Spotify.

Sir Woman draws inspiration from R&B and gospel icons like Otis Redding, Billy Preston, Aretha Franklin, and Nina Simone.

For the past 14 years, Wilson has also served as the lead vocalist and violinist for the Austin-based band Wild Child, which has released five albums and toured with artists like Mt. Joy, Robert Ellis, and Shakey Graves.

Acclaimed singer, songwriter and musician Wyatt Flores will continue to perform through this spring with his “Welcome Back to the Plains Tour,” which includes stops at St. Petersburg’s Jannus Live, Memphis’ Graceland Soundstage, New Orleans’ The Fillmore, Charlottesville’s Ting Pavilion and St. Louis’ Ballpark Village among others. In celebration of the new music, Flores was recently featured as part of NPR Music’s “Tiny Desk Concert” series, made his late-night television debut on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” performed on “CBS Saturday Morning” last month and spoke with NPR’s “All Things Considered.”

Produced by Beau Bedford (Orville Peck, Shane Smith & The Saints), Welcome To The Plains details Flores’ journey as he balances the struggle of leaving his hometown of Stillwater, OK with the highs and lows of life on the road. Released to overwhelming acclaim, the record landed several “Best of 2024” lists including NPR Music and Rolling Stone, who praises, “Welcome to the Plains…is full of enough musical and lyrical range to be the defining album of the 23-year-old Flores’ career.”

Born and raised in Oklahoma, the Mexican-American artist has established himself as one of country music’s most vital voices with his three previous EPs, including Half Life. Receiving widespread critical attention, The New York Timespraised, “Wyatt Flores…Has a Superpower: Tapping Emotions,” while NPR Music declared, “a fantastic record…he is making a big splash out there” and Holler proclaimed, “Flores at his gloriously life affirming, existential best.”

Jonita’s delicate vocals gracefully glide over an ethereal soundscape, beautifully complemented by the intricate stylings of orchestral arrangements. ‘Channa’ is about a breakup but goes beyond the obvious. It reflects on the shifts in a relationship when dynamics change, and you feel like you’re more invested than the other person. This feeling of longing and imbalance is something so many of us can relate to, and with that Jonita crafts a song that is as vulnerable as it is honest. Her heartfelt delivery transports listeners on an emotional journey that speaks to anyone who has experienced the pain of loving someone who didn’t return the feeling or yearns for unrequited love, proclaiming throughout the resonant soundtrack: ‘Feels like this means more to me than you, I really hope that you come through, Please don’t keep me waiting’. Of the single, Jonita expresses, “The song was conceived at a jam session with my friends Siddhant Bhosle and Soham Mukherji – I wanted to create something soulful, real, authentic to my life experience, but also groovy.”

The single, produced by the dynamic duo NEVERSOBER (Riz Shain and Soham Mukherji), is paired with a visually captivating music video produced by Jugaad Motion Pictures and directed by Bhavna Kankaria. It was my second time collaborating with Jugaad, and I feel that Bhavna and DOP Nirali truly captured the essence of the song’s story. This was also the first time I had a co-actor in one of my music videos, and I’m so grateful to Gurfateh for being such an amazing partner throughout the experience!”
