Parcels Release New Album ‘LOVED’ and Single “Summerinlove”

Australian indie band Parcels have released their radiant new album ‘LOVED,’ out now, alongside the dreamy single “Summerinlove.” The song captures the ache of nostalgia and the beauty of bittersweet memories, carried by the band’s signature blend of harmony-rich vocals and timeless groove. “Summerinlove is a nostalgic memory and a yearning for a past love that hopefully will return,” the band shares. “It was written from the post break-up period where you’re in denial, hoping for the relationship to continue in the future when really it’s over. The track was recorded live in Golden Retriever studios in Sydney, Australia.”

With ‘LOVED,’ Parcels continue to evolve their sound while embracing vulnerability and warmth. The record’s lush arrangements and soul-stirring melodies reflect the group’s signature mix of vintage flair and modern pop craftsmanship. Recorded live and fueled by emotion, the album captures the band’s dynamic energy in its purest form.

The release follows a string of unforgettable festival appearances and arrives just ahead of the Parcels World Tour, featuring major stops across the globe. The tour includes Riverstage in Brisbane on November 28, Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne on December 4, and two nights at Sydney Opera House Forecourt on December 6 and 7, with additional shows at Los Angeles’ Kia Forum, New York’s Forest Hills Stadium, and Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

What began as an already unforgettable moment at this year’s Wacken Open Air turned legendary when Michael Schenker stunned tens of thousands of fans with a major announcement. Following a blistering My Years With UFO set on Thursday night, the hard rock icon revealed that his new Michael Schenker Group studio album, ‘Don’t Sell Your Soul,’ is out now via earMUSIC. To top it off, Schenker and his band premiered the album’s title track live for the first time, closing their set with a powerful encore that electrified the festival grounds.

Earlier in the night, the Wacken faithful were treated to another surprise as Slash joined Schenker onstage for a searing rendition of the UFO classic “Mother Mary.” Two generations of guitar gods sharing the same stage — it was the kind of moment destined to live forever in metal lore.

‘Don’t Sell Your Soul’ marks the latest studio album from the Michael Schenker Group and the second part of a trilogy that began with 2024’s My Years With UFO. Produced by Schenker and Michael Voss, the album features longtime collaborators Bodo Schopf (drums), Barend Courbois (bass), and Steve Mann (guitar, keys), with Erik Gronwall on lead vocals and guest appearances by Robin McAuley, Dimitri “Lia” Liapakis, and Voss. Available now on CD, LP, and limited transparent red vinyl, the record is a fiery testament to Schenker’s unrelenting creative spirit and guitar mastery.

Joe Walsh Announces Star-Studded Lineup for VetsAid 2025 in Wichita

Eagles guitarist, multi-GRAMMY Award winner, and Kennedy Center Honoree Joe Walsh has announced the lineup for VetsAid 2025, the ninth annual edition of his acclaimed veterans benefit concert. The show will take place Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the INTRUST Bank Arena in downtown Wichita, Kansas, marking a special homecoming for Walsh. The festival will feature full sets from Vince Gill, Ryan Bingham and The Texas Gentlemen, along with a special super-set from Walsh himself joined by Susan Tedeschi, Derek Trucks, and Nathaniel Rateliff, plus additional surprise guests.

“It’s been a long-term goal of mine since we began VetsAid nearly ten years ago to bring it all home to my native Wichita,” Walsh shared. “It’s where my parents were both born and are buried, where I was born, and where I will always feel a deep connection and sense of heritage and responsibility.” He added, “It is with great pride and gratitude that our traveling circus of love and community will make a stop in Wichita in 2025, and that I can share the experience with my dear friends who also happen to be some of the greatest American musicians I know.”

As always, all net proceeds from VetsAid will benefit veterans’ service organizations, with this year’s grants going exclusively to Kansas-based programs. Since its 2017 debut, VetsAid has raised over $4 million for veterans and military families through concerts featuring legends including Zac Brown Band, Don Henley, James Taylor, ZZ Top, The Black Keys, and Dave Grohl. For Walsh, a Gold Star son, the mission remains deeply personal — honoring his late father and supporting the ongoing needs of America’s veterans through music, community, and compassion.

HBO Orders History Sketch Comedy from Larry David and Higher Ground

HBO has officially ordered a new untitled half-hour sketch comedy limited series from comedy legend Larry David and the Obamas’ Higher Ground. Written by Larry David and Jeff Schaffer, the six-episode series will bring together familiar faces from ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ alongside an exciting roster of guest stars. Schaffer will also direct the series, blending his sharp comedic instincts with David’s unmistakable wit.

According to HBO, the series was inspired by President and Mrs. Obama’s idea to honor America’s 250th anniversary—until Larry David called. Barack Obama shared, “I’ve sat across the table from some of the world’s most difficult leaders and wrestled with some of our most intractable problems. Nothing has prepared me for working with Larry David.” Larry added, “Once ‘Curb’ ended, I celebrated with a three-day foam party. After a violent allergic reaction to the suds, I yearned to return to my simple life as a beekeeper… Alas, one day my bees mysteriously vanished. And so, it is with a heavy heart that I return to television.”

Amy Gravitt, Executive Vice President and Head of HBO & HBO Max Comedy Programming, said, “We’re thrilled that Larry is coming back to HBO, this time with Higher Ground, to give us a glimpse at our shared history as we celebrate our Semiquincentennial.” The series will be executive produced by Larry David and Jeff Schaffer, with Barack and Michelle Obama, Vinnie Malhotra, and Ethan Lewis producing for Higher Ground. Production has officially begun on the HBO Original ‘Harry Potter’ television series at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in the UK. Set to debut in 2027 on HBO and HBO Max where available, including upcoming launch markets in Germany, Italy, and the UK, the series marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the Wizarding World franchise.

The newly announced cast includes Rory Wilmot as Neville Longbottom, Amos Kitson as Dudley Dursley, Louise Brealey as Madam Rolanda Hooch, and Anton Lesser as Garrick Ollivander. Behind the camera, HBO has assembled an acclaimed creative team featuring Adriano Goldman as Director of Photography, Cate Hall as Hair and Makeup Designer, Paul Herbert as Stunt Coordinator, Mark Holt as SFX Supervisor, Mara LePere-Schloop as Production Designer, Naomi Moore as Set Decorator, John Nolan as Creature Effects Design Supervisor, Alexis Wajsbrot as VFX Supervisor, and Dom Sidoli as VFX Producer, with Holly Waddington serving as Costume Designer.

Australian new wave and post-punk band Radio Free Alice announce their new EP ‘Empty Words,’ out now, alongside the release of their electrifying single “Toyota Camry.” The 80s-inspired track, featuring shimmering guitars and radiant backing vocals, premiered globally on BBC 6 Music and arrives with a cinematic video directed by longtime creative partner Finn Robilliard. Recorded with Peter Katis (Interpol, Bloc Party, Frightened Rabbit), the song showcases the band’s sharp sense of melody and mood while embracing their distinctly emotional sound.

Vocalist Noah Learmonth shared that “Toyota Camry” was inspired by a line from author Mark Fisher: “everyone is bored but nothing is boring.” “We recorded it in Connecticut in a house that resembled the one in ‘Monster House’, a horror movie for kids about a haunted house I watched growing up,” Learmonth explains. “Around the house were scattered Polaroids of other bands Peter had recorded albums with, legendary bands, like Interpol. Constantly stumbling across these fading Polaroids in the cutlery draw or whatever in the old wooden house felt weirdly fitting for the song – the song’s about lost futures, haunted by the past.”

‘Empty Words’ also includes the title track produced by Ewan Pearson (M83, Stella Donnelly, Depeche Mode) and two unreleased songs, “Regret,” produced by Ali Chant (Dry Cleaning, Perfume Genius, Soccer Mommy), and “Chinese Restaurant,” both recorded in Bristol.
