Every arrangement highlights the evolution of A.J. as a respected artist while honoring the iconic body of work left by his father. The tour continues to secure sold-out venues and standing ovations across the country. Philadelphia Punk Institution The Menzingers Return With Gritty New Single “Nobody’s Heroes”

0

Philadelphia-based punk institution The Menzingers have released their new single, “Nobody’s Heroes”, marking their first musical output since the 2023 album ‘Some Of It Was True’. Recorded with Grammy-winning producer Will Yip at Memory Music Studios in South Philly, the track sharpens the band’s signature working-class grit and indie punk swagger. This recording adds significant depth to their established Heartland-rock sound through a polished yet raw production style. The single arrives alongside a self-directed, DIY in-studio performance video filmed in their Philadelphia creative space.

The song originated during a period of personal transition for guitarist and vocalist Tom May. Vocalist and guitarist Greg Barnett notes that while the writing began as a response to May’s divorce, the narrative expanded during the creative process. “‘Nobody’s Heroes’ is the story of The Menzingers (how we’re at our best when we’re ourselves),” Barnett explains. The track functions as a definitive statement on the band’s identity and collective endurance. This release maintains the momentum of their decade-spanning career while grounding the music in their local roots.

Kettering Quartet Temples Explore Electronic Frontiers On New Album ‘Bliss’ Out June 26

0

Kettering-based four-piece Temples return with their fourth studio album, ‘Bliss’, scheduled for release on June 26 via V2 Records. This ten-track collection introduces an electronic direction for the group, reimagining their psych-rock foundations through the lens of late nineties and early 2000s European dance music. The band produced the record themselves, opting for a hands-on approach centered on improvisation and internal sampling. This self-produced method allows the quartet to manipulate their own performances into a collage-like sonic palette. It is the most adventurous recording in the band’s career.

The lead single, “Jet Stream Heart”, serves as a primary example of this stylistic evolution. The track mirrors the physical sensation of club speakers through hypnotic beats and home-made fuzz pedals. Vocalist James Bagshaw, bassist Thomas Walmsley, keyboardist Adam Smith, and drummer Rens Ottink focused on blurring the lines between synthesizers and traditional instrumentation. “The feeling of music in a club is visceral (almost like you’re directly wired into the song),” the band notes. The production on this track is bulging with the rhythmic pulse of the Ibiza scene.

The album explores themes of disconnection and surrender across its varied tracklist. While “Vendetta” marries scuzzy riffs with bubbling dance melodies, “Megalith” utilizes a crunching stomp to address internal frustration. Adam Smith describes “Megalith” as a reflection on feeling like a standing stone while the world moves around you. These tracks highlight a move toward simple structures that generate complex emotional responses. The influence of artists like Portishead and Massive Attack is evident in the record’s melancholic euphoria. Every note serves the band’s liberated creative intent.

‘Bliss’ follows the success of 2023’s ‘Exotico’ and represents a shift toward total creative autonomy. By stepping away from outside producers, the band leaned into their collective chemistry to create a shared sonic language. The result is a record that flows between motifs and textures with instinctive movement. This summer release marks a definitive new chapter for the group as they embrace an unexpected electronic identity. It is a bold statement from a band refusing to remain static.

‘Bliss’ Tracklisting:

  1. Jet Stream Heart
  2. Revelations
  3. Megalith
  4. Glimmer
  5. Blue Flame
  6. Vendetta
  7. Jaguar
  8. Horizon
  9. Waiting On The Echoes
  10. Fantasy Realm

East London Quartet Cross Wires Return With Hard Edged New Single “Preachers”

0

East London four-piece Cross Wires have released “Preachers”, the lead single from their upcoming third album, ‘Under The Watchful Eye of Another Man’s God’. Produced by Rory Attwell, the track explores the world of conspiracy theory media and digital grifters. The band utilizes a signature blend of pop sensibilities and harder-edged rock to deliver this social commentary. The music balances melodic urgency with the darker intensity associated with their previous recordings. This release marks the first music from the group since their second album, ‘Yesterday In Mourning’.

The ensemble consists of vocalist Jonathan Chapman, guitarist Peter Muller, bassist Matt Lazard, and drummer Ian Clarke. Their sound draws from the melodic structures of Blur and XTC while maintaining the rhythmic drive of Protomartyr. The production on the new record is bulging with the sonic weight required for their evolving, high-impact style. Every arrangement highlights the group’s ability to pair catchy hooks with sharp lyrical observation. It is a definitive step forward for the quartet as they prepare for a full summer release.

Cross Wires have established a reputation through performances at Tramlines Festival and the Shiiine On Festival. They have shared stages with contemporary acts like Yard Act and Do Nothing, proving their capability in high-pressure live environments. Previous singles have secured international airplay on BBC 6 Music, Radio X, KCRW, and Double J. This broad support reflects the band’s consistent presence across the alternative music landscape. Their history of working with Attwell ensures a continuity of sound even as their themes become more complex.

The upcoming album, ‘Under The Watchful Eye of Another Man’s God’, arrives this summer as the successor to their debut, ‘A Life Extinct’. This new material provides an early look at the band’s focus on modern societal shifts. The track “Preachers” serves as the primary introduction to this thematic direction (grounded in the band’s established post-punk foundation). Detailed release dates for the full LP will follow the debut of this lead track. The current momentum positions the band for a significant season of touring and promotion.

The project luxuriates in contradiction while maintaining a more expansive scale than previous recordings. In January 2026, the Eagles became the first band to earn Quadruple Diamond certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for sales of more than 40 million units (40x Platinum) of Their Greatest Hits 1971–1975, which remains the best-selling album of all time in the U.S. Additionally, the band’s legendary album, Hotel California, has been re-certified 28x Platinum by the RIAA, scoring the third best-selling album of all time. Before it was certified multi-Diamond, Their Greatest Hits 1971–1975 was the first album ever to be certified Platinum by the RIAA.

In the Fall of 1971, the EAGLES formed, pioneered, and personified a uniquely American musical style, blending country, folk, R&B, rock, and pop sensibilities, and would go onto become one of the most creatively and commercially successful bands of all time.  In today’s faddish, fractured, rock landscape, the Eagles retain an appeal that transcends both generation and genre, cementing the band’s role as enduring musical icons. The Eagles have sold more than 150 million albums worldwide, scored six #1 albums, and topped the singles charts five times.  They earned six GRAMMY Awards, were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1998, in their very first year of eligibility, and received the Kennedy Center Honors in 2016.

Known for its world-class musicianship, Tedeschi Trucks Band is Susan Tedeschi (guitar, vocals), Derek Trucks (guitar), Mike Mattison (guitar, vocals), Gabe Dixon (keys, vocals), Brandon Boone (bass), Tyler “Falcon” Greenwell (drums, percussion), Isaac Eady (drums, percussion), Mark Rivers (vocals), Alecia Chakour (vocals), Kebbi Williams (saxophone), Emmanuel Echem (trumpet) and Elizabeth Lea (trombone). TTB’s debut studio album, Revelator, won the 2012 GRAMMY Award for Best Blues Album, while 2018’s Live From the Fox Oakland was nominated for Best Contemporary Blues Album. Since forming in 2010, TTB has received numerous Americana Music Honors & Awards nominations and won Band of the Year in 2013, 2014, 2017 and 2023 at the Blues Music Awards. They’ve sold out Madison Square Garden and sold over 20 nights at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. In 2024, Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi (hailed as “two of the best roots rock musicians of their generation” by NPR) performed at the Kennedy Center Honors, honoring Bonnie Raitt, Grateful Dead, and more, and the full band played the 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony honoring one of their biggest influences, Joe Cocker, with an all-star set featuring special guests Nathaniel Rateliff, Teddy Swims, Cyndi Lauper, Bryan Adams, Chris Robinson, and more.

The “Long Goodbye, Act III” tour is proudly presented by Live Nation.
