Punk Rebel Illegal Mind Returns With Fierce New Single “No Test No Voice”

0

Illegal Mind, the one-man punk uprising led by Maxx Dee, has unleashed his latest sonic blast, “No Test No Voice” — a searing anthem of frustration, rebellion, and raw truth. Built entirely by Dee with guitar, bass, vocals, and a distortion-drenched DAW, the track rips through digital numbness like a live wire. “Freedom of speech should be earned, not abused,” he growls, turning punk into a reflection of modern decay rather than nostalgia. With its jagged riffs and unflinching commentary on social media addiction and performative outrage, the song captures a rare sense of urgency — rebellion without filters.

In the world of Illegal Mind, every sound is handcrafted chaos — equal parts punk defiance and alternative metal venom. The single’s artwork, depicting a faceless crowd glowing in the blue light of their screens, completes the message: this is the mirror we’ve been avoiding. Building on earlier tracks like “Riding Eleanor” and “Zombie Girl,” “No Test No Voice” lights a bonfire for what’s left of punk’s soul. And with a new EP set for 2025, Maxx Dee stands as one of the few artists still screaming through the static — unafraid, unfiltered, and unwilling to turn the volume down.

MWSOG Ignite Welsh Folk Rebellion With Debut Single “Chwyldro”

0

Welsh nine-piece collective MWSOG have released their spellbinding debut single “Chwyldro” via BWGiBWGAN, blending the ancient pulse of Cymru’s folklore with the fire of modern rebellion. Translating to “Revolution,” the track gallops forward on thunderous drums and harmonium, merging the raw beauty of Welsh storytelling with a dark, ritualistic energy. Mari Mathias leads with a voice that feels both elemental and eternal, channeling the spirits of myth and history through waves of acid-folk and heavy psychedelia. “MWSOG allows me to embody the teachings of the Mabinogi, ancient voices so old we can no longer trace their source,” she says. “Much of what we write follows these quiet threads – the weaving of nature and metal, the pulse between the industrial and the soil.”

Recorded beneath the ancient standing stones of the Preseli Hills, “Chwyldro” draws from Wales’ long tradition of uprising and endurance, from the Rebecca Riots to the echoes of miners’ songs. “We wanted to retell the struggles of our ancestors through modern musical language,” says drummer Luke Huw Llewellyn. Guitarist Grant Jones adds, “It felt ancient, like it had been waiting to be found.” Produced by Steffan Pringle, the single captures a collision of past and present – the sound of ghosts, rebellion, and renewal. MWSOG’s live performances are already building myth of their own: wild, communal, and steeped in ceremony. With “Chwyldro,” they emerge as torchbearers of Welsh culture and defiance, transforming tradition into something bold, mystical, and fiercely alive.

DEARDAN Captures Freedom and Feeling With New Single “Summer in Berlin”

0

Dutch producer DEARDAN returns with his new single “Summer in Berlin,” continuing his streak of monthly releases that blur the line between sound and cinema. “These songs are like movies without pictures,” he says — and this one lives up to that promise. The track pairs his smooth, emotive vocals with a driving dance rhythm, striking a rare balance between euphoria and introspection. DEARDAN describes his work as “Art that goes in the ears and straight to the heart,” and “Summer in Berlin” delivers exactly that.

Inspired by Berlin’s dual nature — its freedom and its melancholy — the song pulses with the spirit of the city. “In all free people, wherever you may be, beats the heart to the rhythm of Berlin,” the lyrics declare, channeling the energy and soul of a place where past and future coexist. With “Summer in Berlin,” DEARDAN continues crafting immersive soundscapes that listeners can feel long after the final note — proving once again that his brand of “EDM with a heartbeat” is as human as it gets.
