Gasket Unleash Fierce New Single “Purest Existence” Ahead Of Self-Titled Debut

0

Rising hardcore outfit Gasket have premiered the official video for their blistering new single “Purest Existence,” taken from their upcoming self-titled debut album, out November 21 via Blue Grape Music. Fueled by raw emotion and a relentless sonic assault, the track captures the band’s signature fusion of crusty punk, grimy metal, and classic hardcore intensity.

“‘Purest Existence’ is about rejecting the world around you and finding a place in-between to exist,” explains frontman Flynn Joseph Zimmer. That sense of defiance and alienation pulses through every riff and scream, solidifying Gasket’s reputation as one of the most uncompromising young bands in the scene.

Formed in 2022, Gasket quickly carved out a name for themselves with their no-frills DIY ethic and ferocious live shows up and down the East Coast. Their early EPs Dull the Needle (2023) and Babylon (2024) cemented their sound — raw, unfiltered, and unrelenting.

Now, with their debut full-length on the horizon, Gasket stand ready to push their chaos and conviction to new heights. “Purest Existence” is not just a single — it’s a manifesto for outsiders, outcasts, and anyone seeking truth in distortion and noise.

Electric Temple Unleash Classic Metal Power With New Single ‘Am I Damned?’

0

U.S.-based rock band Electric Temple have dropped their electrifying new single and video, “Am I Damned?”, just in time for Halloween. Combining classic hard rock ferocity with a modern edge, the track firmly plants the group among the next wave of power-driven metal acts. From the opening riff, the song channels raw energy and haunting atmosphere, pulling listeners into a dark journey through the human condition.

Featuring an all-star lineup of rock veterans, Andrew Freeman (Last in Line, Lynch Mob, Offspring) leads with powerhouse vocals alongside Mike Duda (W.A.S.P.) on bass, Matt Starr (Ace Frehley, Mr. Big, KIX) on drums, and guitarist-songwriter-producer Tony Childs (Shanghai). Together, they forge a sound steeped in the legacy of classic metal while injecting new life into the genre.

“Am I Damned?” pays homage to icons like Dio, AC/DC, and Ozzy Osbourne, with an unmistakable modern polish courtesy of mix engineer Chris Collier (Korn, Whitesnake, Mick Mars). The result is a thunderous track that balances nostalgia with innovation — a perfect storm of blazing guitars, tight rhythm, and melodic grit.

With this release, Electric Temple deliver a statement of intent: hard rock is alive, loud, and ready to reignite. “Am I Damned?” doesn’t just nod to metal’s golden era — it kicks down the door with the conviction of a band built for the stage and destined for the spotlight.

Produced by P2J (Beyoncé, WizKid, Doja Cat) and Cole YoursTruly (Blxst, Odeal, FLO), “City on Fire” balances lush Afrobeats rhythms with R&B smoothness and hip-hop grit. Wale’s lyrical honesty takes center stage as he intertwines his trademark poetic flow with Nigerian Pidgin phrases like “wahalla,” capturing a universal sense of emotional chaos. The collaboration follows Wale’s “Mirrorronnabenz” with BNYX, both signaling a more open, reflective era ahead of EIA.

Earlier this month, Wale surprised fans at Odeal’s sold-out D.C. show at the 930 Club, joining him onstage to perform “Lotus Flower Bomb” before debuting “City on Fire” live at the afterparty. The moment celebrated both artists’ shared roots and marked a symbolic passing of creative energy between continents.

As Wale continues to redefine what global hip-hop sounds like, “City on Fire” stands as a glowing bridge between his heritage and his future — a love letter to authenticity, evolution, and the power of connection.

The Human Tragedy Unleash Orchestral Metal Masterpiece ‘Upon Waves, The Inferno’

0

Lexington’s own The Human Tragedy have unleashed their most ambitious work to date with the release of Upon Waves, The Inferno, out now on all streaming platforms. The orchestral metal visionaries combine cinematic grandeur with extreme heaviness, crafting an album that blurs the line between classical composition and pure metal fury. The record arrives on the heels of their haunting single “Desecrated Grounds,” whose video introduced fans to the album’s powerful emotional depth and visual storytelling.

Across twelve sweeping tracks, Upon Waves, The Inferno explores themes of isolation, loss, and the fragile thread that connects humanity. The band has described the project as a confrontation with darkness rather than an escape from it. “We don’t want to glorify violence,” they explain. “We want to confront the reality that too many turn away from. Compassion, conversation, and presence in each other’s lives can be the difference between hope and tragedy.” The result is an experience that’s as emotionally raw as it is musically ambitious.

Musically, the album is a tour de force of orchestral metal. Crushing riffs and blast beats collide with lush string arrangements and atmospheric keys courtesy of Jonathan Barnett, while Frank Tallman and Tim Hensley’s guitars cut through the mix with precision and power. Johnny Martin’s growling vocals and Sam Brashear’s thunderous drumming give the project its rhythmic heart, tying together the grandiose orchestrations and metallic intensity. Tracks like “Desecrated Grounds” showcase the band’s ability to move seamlessly from moments of reflective beauty to apocalyptic power.

Cinematic to its core, Upon Waves, The Inferno is a masterclass in scale and emotion. With its blend of symphonic texture and metal ferocity, it cements The Human Tragedy as one of the genre’s most exciting and forward-thinking acts. For fans of Dimmu Borgir, Fleshgod Apocalypse, and Old Man’s Child, this is a must-hear release — one that proves even in the darkest depths, art can rise, rage, and resonate.
