East London Quartet Cross Wires Return With Hard Edged New Single “Preachers”

East London four-piece Cross Wires have released “Preachers”, the lead single from their upcoming third album, ‘Under The Watchful Eye of Another Man’s God’. Produced by Rory Attwell, the track explores the world of conspiracy theory media and digital grifters. The band utilizes a signature blend of pop sensibilities and harder-edged rock to deliver this social commentary. The music balances melodic urgency with the darker intensity associated with their previous recordings. This release marks the first music from the group since their second album, ‘Yesterday In Mourning’.

Melbourne Post-Punk Outfit EXEK To Release New Album ‘Prove The Mountains Move’

Melbourne-based post-punk outfit EXEK will release their seventh album, ‘Prove The Mountains Move’, on February 27, 2026. This eight-track record marks the band’s debut for the DFA label. Vocalist and chief architect Albert Wolski describes the new material as a lush and unabashedly melodic set of surrealist pop. The project luxuriates in contradiction while maintaining a more expansive scale than previous recordings. Wolski states, “This record is experimental in its craft, but it may not necessarily sound experimental.”

The band begins their 2026 US tour dates with a four-night residency opening for LCD Soundsystem at Roadrunner in Boston. Following these appearances from April 30 to May 3, the group travels to Ridgewood, New York, to headline TV Eye on May 6. This announcement follows an album release show at The Curtin in Melbourne on March 14. Tickets for the Boston residency go on sale Friday, February 27, at 10:00 AM ET, while Brooklyn tickets are available now. This collection of dates represents the first North American performances for the new album cycle.

Little Feat Headlines the 4th Annual Annapolis Baygrass Music Festival On the Chesapeake Bay

The Annapolis Baygrass Music Festival returns to Sandy Point State Park on the Chesapeake Bay in Annapolis, Maryland, September 19th and 20th, 2026. Now in its fourth year, the festival has drawn attendees from 38 U.S. states, Canada, and Europe, establishing itself as one of the country’s leading eco-focused destination festivals for progressive bluegrass, jamgrass, and American roots music. Anchoring the weekend is Little Feat, whose genre-crossing blend of rock, New Orleans funk, swamp boogie, jazz, and blues helped lay the groundwork for the jam scene as it exists today. The band is on their announced farewell tour, making this beachside performance a genuinely singular opportunity. Joining them are Yonder Mountain String Band (returning after playing the inaugural 2023 festival), Béla Fleck with his bluegrass ensemble My Bluegrass Heart (featuring Michael Cleveland, Dominick Leslie, Jeff Partin, Mark Schatz, and Jake Stargel), and Sam Bush, the Father of Newgrass, a two-time International Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame inductee and three-time IBMA Mandolin Player of the Year.

The rest of the roster fills out across two alternating beachside stages: Mountain Grass Unit, Shadowgrass, TopHouse, SCYTHIAN, IBMA Award winners Sister Sadie, Fireside Collective, Midnight North, Jammy Buffet, Melody Trucks & The Fitzkee Brothers Band, and the festival’s official house band, Geraldine. Co-founder and talent buyer John Way describes the programming around a clear vision: open with rising local artists, close with the legends, and build a weekend that functions as music as self-care.

The festival runs on a conservation mission that has raised over $114,000 for Chesapeake Bay restoration since inception, with a portion of every ticket, beverage, and merchandise dollar supporting nonprofit partners Watershed Stewards Academy, Oyster Recovery Partnership, and Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay. Beyond the stages, the grounds include a beer garden and oyster bar, beachfront yoga, an artisan village, a KidZone, artist and nonprofit workshops, and a full VIP experience with chef-prepared meals, exclusive performances, and dedicated viewing areas.

The St. Kitts Music Festival has announced its full lineup for the 28th edition, running June 25th through 27th at Warner Park Stadium in Basseterre. The three-night event brings together Caribbean legends and global chart-toppers across a roster that spans reggae, soca, dancehall, and R&B. Tickets are on sale now at stkittsmusicfestival.com.

Headlining the festival is Kehlani, who arrives carrying two Grammy wins from this year’s ceremony. Joining her is a lineup built for range and depth: Fantasia, Beres Hammond, Machel Montano, Mavado, Tarrus Riley, Dean Fraser & The Blak Soil Band, Steel Pulse, Luciano, Aidonia, Masicka, Kranium, Valiant, Voice, Shaneil Muir, Brandon, D’Yani, V’ghn, Zu, Nu Vybes Band International, Edwin Yearwood & Krosfyah, Shelly & Signal Band, Rucas H.E, Rodney Tattat, and Gharlic & The Upper Level Band. In January 2026, the Eagles became the first band to earn Quadruple Diamond certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for sales of more than 40 million units (40x Platinum) of Their Greatest Hits 1971–1975, which remains the best-selling album of all time in the U.S. Additionally, the band’s legendary album, Hotel California, has been re-certified 28x Platinum by the RIAA, scoring the third best-selling album of all time. Before it was certified multi-Diamond, Their Greatest Hits 1971–1975 was the first album ever to be certified Platinum by the RIAA.

Firesky Release “Chasing The Dawn,” Third Single From Their Debut Album

Firesky have released “Chasing The Dawn,” the third single from their self-titled debut album, out March 13th via Art Of Melody Music and Burning Minds Music Group. The track features Alessandro Del Vecchio (Edge Of Forever, Hardline, Jorn, Vanden Plas) on backing vocals, and arrives with a music video that sends two rockers on a time-traveling highway chase toward a festival rooted in the golden era of rock. The album was mixed and mastered by Saal Richmond at Harmonia Recording Work Studio in Giaveno, Turin.

The five-piece lineup brings together Davide Merletto on lead vocals, Samuli Federley on lead guitars, Time Schleifer on bass, Mika Brushane on drums, and Richmond on keys and programming. Additional backing vocal contributions come from Davide “Dave Rox” Barbieri (Wheels Of Fire, Shining Line, Room Experience) on “A Stone In Time” and “Can You Feel Me?”, while “Like Brothers” was co-written with Pierpaolo “Zorro” Monti (Shining Line, Charming Grace, Raintimes) and Dave Zublena (Soul Seller, Kastadian). Brent Maher brings selections from his audiobook ‘Night of the Orphan Train: A Musical Novel’ to the nationally syndicated WoodSongs Old-Time Radio Hour on Monday, March 2nd at 7 pm ET, streaming live and airing on RFD TV. Joining him for the evening are Grammy-winning bluegrass artist Trey Hensley, vocalist Brooke Spencer, Meagan Taylor and the Kiddos, and multi-instrumentalist Fats Kaplin. The performance draws from a 20-song soundtrack built around a story inspired by the true Orphan Train Movement, which relocated more than 250,000 children across America between 1854 and 1929.

Alongside the broadcast announcement, the music video for “I Will Hold You In My Heart” is out now, a duet featuring Brooke Spencer and Sarah Holbrook that sits at the emotional center of the project. Fender has announced a first-of-its-kind initiative as part of its 80th anniversary celebration: a nationwide search for its inaugural Guitar Correspondent. Beginning this spring, one selected guitarist and storyteller will hit the road to cover five major U.S. music festivals and concerts between April and September 2026, offering a perspective that goes beyond traditional festival reporting.

Rather than focusing on setlists or red carpet moments, the Guitar Correspondent will spotlight the gear, rigs, tones, tech teams, and behind-the-scenes human moments that define live performance. From soundcheck through encore, the role centers on documenting the instruments and craftsmanship that shape the sound of modern music.

The initiative arrives alongside the 75th anniversaries of the Telecaster® and Precision Bass®, two instruments that helped define popular music across generations. With this program, Fender aims to highlight how guitars continue to influence culture today through the artists and crews who bring live shows to life.

Applications open February 24 through March 10 here. The winner will be announced March 24. The selected correspondent will receive all-access festival credentials, travel and accommodations covered by Fender, a $10,000 cash prize, and a collaborative kickoff session with the Fender team ahead of the first event.

Nashville Emerging Artist Belles Teams Up With Dolly Parton on “Son of Jolene,” Arriving April 17

Belles has announced “Son of Jolene,” a collaboration with Dolly Parton arriving April 17th and pre-save it here. The track imagines a chance encounter years later with Jolene’s son, a character-driven continuation of Parton’s classic built around vivid storytelling and a modern country edge. PEOPLE, which debuted an exclusive feature on the song, called it the equivalent of a musical and generational bridge between the two artists. “Having her lend her voice to this record is beyond anything I could have imagined,” Belles says. “It feels like a full-circle moment and a true honor.”

The single arrives ahead of Belles’ debut full-length album, due later in 2026 via East Music Row Records, and follows her self-titled EP, a six-track collection covering love, heartbreak, resilience, and self-discovery. Her breakout single “Crazy As Me” drove a 400% increase in streams, crossed 30 million social media views, cleared 2 million Spotify streams, and hit No. 3 on the iTunes Country Chart.
